Julie and Eileens Dad to be killed off

JULIE Carp bows her head at the funeral of Colin Grimshaw - just weeks after learning he's her dad.

Her mum Paula had a brief fling with Colin (Edward De Souza) nine months before Julie (Katy Cavanagh) was born.

But soon after she finds out the family secret, her dad is killed off.

Julie gives a comforting hug to Colin's daughter Eileen (Sue Cleaver) and his grandson Jason (Ryan Thomas), now knowing that they are all related, as Rita (Barbara Knox) looks on.

Rita decides to go to the funeral at the last minute after refusing to visit dying Colin in hospital.

The scenes were filmed this week, and will air early next month.

He must have some illness no-one knows about or a heart attack if he is to die soon.

Another death in a soap storyline where a parent and daughter do not have long to get to know each other - I doubt there will be a petition not to kill him off though :) I liked him with Rita, I think they made a good couple.
