I've just been listening to Jeremy Kyle's first Word on the Street podcast on ITV.com. Jeremy is obviously a big Corrie fan and his enthusiasm shines through. He also has access to some juicy insider gossip courtesy of Andy Whyment and Coronation Street's chief publicity officer Alison Sinclair.
Alison clears up the rumour that Luke Strong might be Carla's brother. He isn't - absolutely, definitely not, because of course the Connors and Carla's family all grew up together, so Michelle would have known him. She also talks about the Maria/Tony relationship, which is set to get nicely warmed up just as Carla returns. Can't wait for that particular homecoming!
She also says that the Ken/Martha story isn't over, and (shock!) they do sleep together. "Ken and Martha are going to get the boat a-rocking," she says. Alison knows what's going to happen in Corrie all the way till August, and she'll be turning up weekly to give Jeremy Kyle as much insider goss as she can.
