Daz (Luke Tittensor) returns from his weekend away and tells Jake (James Baxter) of the situation he is in with Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) and Jake questions what Daz is going to do. As Jake tries to make a joke of the situation he reels when Daz turns round and is in tears. Daz is torn but collaring Victoria he takes her on a car journey. As the car hurtles round the country roads Victoria begs Daz to slow down but he states they’re as good as dead anyway after what they’ve done. Victoria is petrified when Daz admits his fears that he’ll be denounced as a paedophile and she blurts out that there is no baby. The car screeches to a halt and Victoria says she only wanted Daz to love her. Daz is furious and hurls Victoria out of the car before driving away without her. Has Victoria lost Daz’s trust for good?
At Wishing Well, Lisa (Jane Cox) grows concerned for Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) when it’s clear she doubts her decision to banish Zak. In Zak’s absence, Shadrach (Andy Devine) tries to take his new role of head of the house seriously. Belle refuses to adhere to her uncle’s rule and rushes upstairs, clearly missing Zak. Lisa is beside herself, but Shadrach shares with her the revelation that Zak has been spotted in Billericay. Lisa expresses her desire that Zak never returns but Shadrach sees through her. Will the Dingles enforce their law if Zak returns to Emmerdale?
Meanwhile, Sandy (Freddie Jones) moves into the Woolpack and Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) is quick to lay down the ground rules. Doug (Duncan Preston) arrives later on to help Sandy with his unpacking and they share a drink with Diane in the back room. When Sandy falls asleep Doug and Diane continue drinking. After sharing a close moment, Diane kisses Doug before realising that she has overstepped the mark. Sandy wakes before either can discuss what just happened. Will Diane’s misplaced kiss be explained?

When no Dingle will take him in Zak barges into the factory to speak with Lisa. He bellows his rights to anyone who’ll listen but is dumbstruck when Lisa explains that Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) called the Dingle court. After a private chat with his wife he realises just how much he has hurt Belle. Zak tries to apologise but Belle walks home alone and collapses in floods of tears back at the homestead. Will Diane’s break allow enough time to gain some perspective?

Daz is grateful when Jake offers him his old room back until the heat dies down. When Victoria and Aaron get thrown out of the café for being drunk Andy is furious with her behaviour. Victoria is hurt to hear that Daz has moved back in with Jake. Are the Sugdens about to splinter once more?
