EastEnders bosses have denied claims that Denise Van Outen is in talks to join the soap.

A report in The Mirror today (May 23) suggests that the actress is being lined up to play a glamorous new landlady for the Queen Vic.

However, an EastEnders spokesperson this morning told Digital Spy that there is "absolutely no truth" in the rumours.

Van Outen has often been linked to EastEnders over the years, and has always said that she is open to the idea of joining Walford.

Speaking last year, she explained: "I'd never rule it out, I'd love to do it [and] pull a few pints! You never know, if they'd have me!"

Van Outen is currently hosting a weekly radio show on Magic each Saturday.

EastEnders star Gillian Wright has revealed that she would love her character Jean Slater to be reunited with her daughter Stacey.

Stacey left Walford two and a half years ago in a desperate attempt to cover up the murder of Archie Mitchell.

However, Wright believes there is unfinished business between Jean and her daughter.

Speaking to Inside Soap, she said: "I'd love for Jean to be reunited with her daughter Stacey and her granddaughter Lily, even if it were just for one day.

"Lacey [Turner] and I are still in touch, and as actresses we have a very special relationship.

"It all ended very suddenly with Stacey's hasty exit, so I think there's a lot more to be explored between her and Jean."

The family of former EastEnders actor Paul Bhattacharjee have appealed for help in the search to find him after he went missing last week.

It is thought that the actor, who played the role of Masood's brother Inzamam in the BBC soap on and off from 2008 until 2010, went missing after leaving the Royal Court Theatre last week.

The Evening Standard quotes Bhattacharjee's son as saying: "Dad, wherever you are please, please get in contact. We want to know that you are okay and if anyone has seen or heard from him in the last few days please get in contact.

"Please, we are just worried sick. It's completely out of character. He was doing well in his career and everything seemed to be going okay. I just don't know what has happened."

Stephen Fry took to Twitter to rally support to find the actor, retweeting a post from actress Natalie Dew, which read: "Please read and RT. A wonderful actor and lovely man has gone missing.

The actor has also had roles in James Bond and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

Anyone with information on Paul's whereabouts is urged to call the police non-emergency line on 101 or Missing People on 116 000.

Former EastEnders actor Paul Bhattacharjee has been found dead.

Bhattacharjee - who played the role of Masood's brother Inzamam in the BBC soap on and off from 2008 until 2010 - went missing last week, with his family appealing for help in the search to find him.

He had last been seen on July 10, leaving rehearsals at the Royal Court Theatre in London's Sloane Square and heading towards a Tube station. Friends said that he seemed in a good mood, and he sent a text message to his girlfriend later that evening.

Scotland Yard was informed this morning (July 17) by officers in Sussex that the body of a man matching Bhattacharjee's description had been found last Friday (July 12) near cliffs at Splash Point in Seaford, East Sussex.

The body has now been formally identified and his next of kin informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Those appealing for help to find Bhattacharjee - who also had roles in Casino Royale and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel - included Stephen Fry, who had retweeted a post from actress Natalie Dew stating: "Please read and RT. A wonderful actor and lovely man has gone missing."

EastEnders star Laila Morse has been declared as bankrupt.

The actress, who has played Mo Harris in the soap since 2000, filed a petition under both her stage name and real name - Maureen Bass - earlier this month.

Morse opened up previous money worries in her autobiography Just A Mo and discussed her tough battle to help her son Gerry who had a long-term addiction to heroin.

The bankruptcy order was issued on August 9, with the legal announcement printed in The London Gazette last week.

Morse's EastEnders contract was not renewed last year, and she now only appears in the soap as a guest character.

Former EastEnders star Martine McCutcheon was also declared as bankrupt back in February.

Gutted that Mo is now only a guest character, especially with Jean leaving.

I read in The Sun that Laila Morse was on £80,000 a year at EastEnders. I thought it'd have been more than that, given the salaries that some of the actors are on, her popularity and how long she has been in it.

It's been nearly three years since Thomas Law made his departure as Peter Beale in EastEnders, but life away from soapland has been far from quiet for him as he has worked on stage, film and music projects.

Most recently, the 20-year-old has appeared in science-fiction comedy movie The World's End among a cast which included Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Martin Freeman.

Digital Spy caught up with Thomas this week to hear about life after EastEnders and his future career plans.

What have you been up to since leaving EastEnders?
"The past three years have been really exciting, and very varied. I've worked with some incredible people in theatre, television and film as well as developing my music with my band, but the highlight has to be working with Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and [director] Edgar Wright on The World's End."

How did the film role come about?
"I play the younger version of Simon Pegg's character Gary King. The audition process was unlike anything I've been through before. The scripts were obviously highly confidential, so there was a lot of improvisation during the casting session with the boys who play the young Nick Frost, Eddie Marsan, Paddy Considine and Martin Freeman.

"I had to go through a nerve wracking three rounds of auditions, but I was absolutely thrilled when I finally got the call from my agent to say I landed the part. It was definitely worth it!"

As it was quite different from the work you've done in the past, was it a good learning experience?
"Being surrounded by actors and a director of that level was an amazing experience, and I learned so much from the process. We had a lot of fun on the shoot, running round the pubs of Newton Haven with the likes of Simon and Nick, but when it's time to work they really knuckle down and you understand how carefully crafted everything is, even when they look like they're just having a laugh."

For those who don't know, what is the film about and how does your character fit into it?
"Gary King is a young lad who has just finished his exams and sets himself the challenge of completing an epic pub crawl called The Golden Mile with his four best mates. Needless to say the night doesn't go as planned!

"20 years later that evening is still the highlight of Gary's life, even though the rest of his friends have moved on and made proper lives for themselves, so he rounds up the old gang and convinces them to tackle the Golden Mile once again, and finish it this time."

What kind of feedback have you had for the film? Have your fans been pleased to see you on screen again?
"The feedback and reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, and I've had such a great response from fans through Twitter. I was such a big fan of Simon, Nick and Edgar before being part of the film so I felt pretty confident that it would come out well, but the final cut was better than I could have imagined."

Are you hoping that The World's End will open the door for you to appear in more film projects?
"Absolutely. Things are already looking pretty exciting and there are various projects kicking around at the moment. I've no doubt that being a part of The World's End has helped with that and I am really looking forward to the next project."

We know that you're also passionate about singing. Is this just a hobby, or is it something that you're pursuing more seriously as a career?
"I love singing and playing with my band, and have performed in musicals on stage. At the moment that's on the back-burner, but if there was ever an opportunity to do that professionally alongside the acting, then I'd definitely look into that. It's a shame that it's not more common over here, as it seems to be quite popular to do both in the States."

You also did a production of Peter Pan in late 2010. Would you be up for doing more theatre and stage work?
"Yes, definitely. Peter Pan was such a fantastic experience - it can be pretty nerve-wracking being in front of a live audience, but it gives you such a buzz. I'd love the opportunity to get my teeth into some more theatre."

After being in one of Britain's biggest soaps, do people still recognise you for your role as Peter Beale?
"Yes, and I've always found that funny. As a soap star you end up being brought into people's living room so they come to feel they know you. So at times their reaction to seeing you on the street can be like bumping into a friend - it's surprising but familiar!"

Your EastEnders exit surprised many fans at the time. Was it your choice to leave, or did the producers decide to write out Peter?
"It was a mutual decision. I felt it was time to move on and develop my career in other directions, and they agreed that the character had run its course for the time being."

Three years on, EastEnders have brought back Peter with a new actor in the role. Was any approach made for you to come back?
"There was some discussion about it, but we felt it just wasn't the right time for me to go back."

Is your time at EastEnders something you still look back fondly on, and do you ever catch up with the show?
"Of course - EastEnders completely changed my life and I made some brilliant friends. I don't have much time to watch television at the moment, but I do like to check in on the show from time to time and see how everyone's doing, and I always watch out to see how they do at the awards. It has been a huge part of my life and I am very grateful to have been part of such an influential show."

Recently we've seen a lot of actors go from one soap to another. Would you consider being in a soap again?
"If the opportunity came up I'd definitely consider it. Working on a soap is a really fun experience – it's so fast paced compared to other types of filming, and being on set day in, day out creates a real family atmosphere. So I can understand why actors move from one soap to another - it's a great way of getting consistent work."

We noticed on Twitter that you took part in some charity football recently, so is this also something you'd like to do more of?
"Yes I love football, and I've been playing a lot recently for a charity called 'Once Upon A Smile' which was started in 2010 by Danny Miller and Daniel Jillings. We play all over the place against other teams willing to help raise money for charity. I'm also a keen golfer - I'm actually much better at that than football! So I'm fortunate to play a lot of golf for a charity called Sparks."

EastEnders star Scott Maslen has reportedly made plans to move to Hollywood.

The soap actor has allegedly set up meetings with film bosses to embark on an action movie career, according to The Mirror.

Maslen will leave the BBC One soap as Jack Branning after six years in the coming weeks.

He is said to have worked with celebrity fitness expert Jon Trevor in order to get into shape for upcoming auditions in Los Angeles.

He also reportedly has signed with a US agent, and will move there permanently with his family if he manages to get roles.

Scott Maslen has filmed his final scenes in EastEnders, and will remain on the soap for the next five weeks.

Maslen has won the 'Sexiest Male' prize at the British Soap Awards for the past four years. He was also named 'Best Actor' at the ceremony in 2010.

Morrisssey has revealed that he almost played Dot Cotton's son Nick in EastEnders.

The singer recalled in his recently-published autobiography that he was approached to play Dot Cotton's 'so far unmentioned son' at the height of The Smiths' fame.

"I would arrive unexpectedly in Albert Square and cause births, deaths and factory fires every time I open my mouth," he wrote.

Morrissey also went on to reveal that he was offered a role on Emmerdale, saying: "The most fascinating aspect of both offers is that somebody somewhere thought it a good idea".

The book also reveals that Morrissey persistently asked the producers of Coronation Street to make him a writer on the show, offering them a plot 'wherein young take on old as a jukebox is tested in the Rovers Return'.

Actor John Altman eventually took on the role of Dot's son Nick Cotton. He appeared intermittently in the soap between 1985 and 2009.

EastEnders bosses have today (October 29) confirmed some key behind-the-scenes changes as the BBC soap enters a new era.

Following the arrival of Dominic Treadwell-Collins as executive producer, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal that there have been new appointments and promotions within the show's senior team.

Alison Davis has recently taken on the post of Series Producer at EastEnders, while Alexander Lamb has been named as the programme's new Story Producer.

Davis already has strong ties to EastEnders as she started her career as a script editor on the show. She later secured senior positions on a number of other dramas, including Family Affairs, The Bill, Casualty, HolbyBlue and the award-winning legal drama North Square.

This is the third time that Davis has returned to EastEnders. Her previous stints on the soap have seen her work on a number of acclaimed storylines, including Joe Wicks's schizophrenia, Grant and Tiffany's relationship, and the love affair between Cindy Beale and David Wicks - which culminated in Cindy hiring a hitman to shoot Ian.

Lamb also has history with EastEnders as he joined the programme in 2006 as a Story Editor after a previous stint as a storyliner on Emmerdale. He was later promoted to the post of Story Associate at the Walford drama.

Lamb is credited with helping to create the Masood family and Heather Trott, devising the return of Bianca with the Whitney and Tony paedophile storyline, and also working on the twists and turns in Ian Beale's stalker plot.

He has been away from EastEnders over the past year, during which time he worked as a script producer and producer on Waterloo Road.

Digital Spy can also reveal that Simon Ashdown will be stepping down from his position as EastEnders' Series Consultant at the end of the year to focus on other BBC drama projects.

Show bosses are not planning to replace Ashdown in the role. Instead, a group of core writers - including some new and returning faces - will be led by Treadwell-Collins and his team.

Finally, highly-established members of the EastEnders production team have been promoted, with Sharon Batten now working as Senior Producer and Manpreet Dosanjh as Script Producer.

EastEnders producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins has said that the show must reflect the modern world and the changes in East London over the last few years.

Viewers have recently seen Sharon Rickman (Letitia Dean) announce her plans to open up a wine bar and this will tie in with plans to reflect areas likes Shoreditch.

Treadwell-Collins said to the Radio Times: "It should feel more like London. It's been frozen in aspic for too long.

"Sharon said recently that she's looking to be a landlady. As a result you'll see the edges of Shoreditch creeping into EastEnders.

"It's got to reflect the modern world."

Treadwell-Collins also said that he is happy to see the return of familiar faces, such as Stacey Branning, as well as new characters.

He said: "It's good to have one foot in the past while looking to the future.

"My idea is to make the show feel fresh with the Carters, but also a bit nostalgic by bringing back characters we love."

I feel your pain as I don't like watching TV on my laptop either. EE is unmissable at the moment however, so I don't think you'd regret watching it this way as a last resort.

You need to get yourself a recorder of some sort. I record all my TV now to watch when it suits me :)

EastEnders star Shane Richie will host a new BBC game show called Decimate.

The actor, who plays Walford's Alfie Moon, will lead the new show which starts filming in August and launches in the autumn.

Decimate will see contestants battling to maintain a £20,000 cash prize by answering a number of questions. If the participants answer questions incorrectly, the £20,000 pot will be decimated by 10%, Broadcast reports.

Series commissioning editor Pam Cavannagh said: "It has huge play along and a great team dynamic that we know our audience have come to love and enjoy, and with Shane hosting, it is a great addition to our daytime quiz line-up."

Richie previously hosted BBC One game show Reflex, which launched earlier this year.

HELP NEEDED URGENTLY

I am an actress currently trying to find a certain episode of EastEnders, the only information I have is the script of a scene between BRADLEY and STACEY, Bradley appears fresh from work and Stacey slams her phone shut, it begins
Bradley: You got something to say to me?
Stacey: Not that I can think of.
Bradley: if you were gonna blow me out couldn't you have done it to my face embarrassing with your uncle Charlie stood there saying you were ill lying to my face.
Stacey: How'd you know he was lying.
Bradley: Pat saw you with Ruby earlier. How is she?
Stacey: Fine.

The scene then ends with bradley saying he doesn't understand how she can be one thing one day and different the next. Stacey then goes on to say he chose the wrong girl and she wouldn't care less if she never saw him again.

I'm looking for backstory so if anyone knows the episode or time frame so I can then check it out that would be so helpful.

Recalling his career in an obituary for The Guardian, Gregory's wife Christine wrote: "Lyndam loved being in the soaps, although the wide audience they attracted meant that many complete strangers would approach him as though they had known him for years.

"He enjoyed filming EastEnders at Elstree studios because of its association with landmark films."

"Since I left EastEnders, I have been doing lots of theatre," he said. "It would be nice to go back into TV - people like me in this country, I think.

"I would like to go into Corrie but I've been Den for so long. It's difficult to get in now if you are well-known in another soap. I know Michelle Collins went into Corrie but I'll always be known as Dirty Den."

Grantham added that he admires the careers of actors such as Nigel Havers, who starred in films before playing conman Lewis Archer on Coronation Street.

"It would be nice to follow people like Nigel Havers," he said. "He went to Corrie but he had made his name in Chariots of Fire."

Grantham also stated that he doesn't watch soaps himself, explaining that he prefers to watch sport on television.

"I don't watch soaps," he said. "I never used to watch them when I was in them. I would rather watch football or old *movies.

"I have got better things to do. My attention span is not good."

Grantham first appeared in EastEnders as Dirty Den in 1985 before the character supposedly died in 1989. He later returned in 2003, but was eventually killed in 2005 by his second wife Chrissie.

BBC Three's EastEnders repeat screening is moving back to its old timeslot.

Fans currently get a chance to catch up on the latest drama from Walford at 10.30pm on the channel, but the repeat will be shifted back to the earlier slot of 10pm from next week.

While BBC Three's repeat has been known to move around the schedules in the past, it has been confirmed that the shift to 10pm is a permanent one.

EastEnders previously aired its repeat at 10pm on BBC Three for many years and often topped the multichannel ratings in the slot, but the screening was moved to 10.30pm in 2012.

As the EastEnders Omnibus aired for the final time last week, the BBC Three repeat will now be the main chance for viewers to catch up on the soap, alongside the BBC iPlayer.

The BBC has previously announced plans to close BBC Three as a broadcast TV channel and transform the station into an online-only service, but the move was recently delayed until 2016 while the BBC Trust makes a final decision on the controversial proposal.

Wish they bring it back to weekend afternoon

EastEnders star June Brown has revealed her sight is failing but she needs to carry on working because her pension funds have plummeted.

The 88-year-old soap favourite said her sight was now so poor that the vision in one eye is sometimes reduced to looking like the cross-hairs of a rifle.

She said: “I see things in my eyes now. My eyes are not very good. In the left occasionally I do get this small circle with what looks like cross-wires.

"I do pray about my sight – maybe it will return.”

And the twice-married star – who plays Dot in the BBC1 soap – said the financial crisis had badly affected her savings.

She revealed in a Radio 4 interview that she had to keep on working because she was scared of “being poor when I’m old”.

She added: “You might laugh at that and think ‘she’ll never be poor when she’s old’ but I’ve not squirreled away lots of money.

"I’ve had two pensions each that have gone down by 50%.”

June joined EastEnders at the age of 58 - two years before her official retirement age.

And she’s played chain-smoking Dot for 30 years, apart from a four-year break in the mid-1990s.

She was made an MBE in the 2008 Queen's Birthday Honours.

He may now be juggling presenting and singing, but Olly Murs is still holding out hope for a role on EastEnders.

The 'Kiss Me' singer hasn't made any secret about wanting to appear in the BBC soap and has now even been in talks with Alfie Moon actor Shane Richie.

"I'd love to do acting," X Factor co-host Murs told The Sun. "I know that it's something I want to do. It's just whether I have the time to do it.

"I love EastEnders. I've spoken to Shane Richie, I've told everyone down there, that if there's ever an idea or a role and you think I could do it then I would jump at it."

Murs has clearly given the role some thought, revealing that he has some rather creative ideas on what his character could get up to in Walford.

He said: "I've always had this idea that one of the girls goes away on holiday, has a romance and brings her boyfriend back to the square. Everyone hates him, he's a bit of a rogue. He's trying to chat up her sisters and best friends and he gets booted out. I've got it all mapped out.

"If I'm going to do it I'd do it right. I'd go back to doing drama lessons and go back to what I used to do years ago. Learn the skills again and improve it. I wouldn't want to do it because of my name. I want it because I want to act."

Murs currently hosts The X Factor with Caroline Flack. He came under scrutiny earlier this month when he made an embarrassing on-air error, but later claimed that it had all been blown out of proportion.

EastEnders star Shona McGarty is reportedly the victim of a 'revenge porn' plot.

The Sunday People has revealed that the actress, who plays Whitney in the BBC One soap, is calling in police after a man tried to circulate images of her when she was younger.

Along with the images was a crude message and a mobile number that the man claimed was McGarty's, but there is no evidence to suggest it was.

New laws were introduced this year to prevent intimate images being made public, and a friend of the actress noted that she was going to use that law to make sure that the images aren't shared.

The law states that circulation of images that "show what would not usually be seen in public" becomes illegal if they are distributed without the person's permission and with intent to cause harm or distress.

At the time of the new legislation, ex-Culture Secretary Maria Miller said that the law gives "young women the opportunity to protect themselves from their lives being blighted".

It can carry a maximum jail sentence of two years.

EastEnders producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins has revealed where he gets some of his storyline ideas from - strangers on tubes and buses!

The BBC soap's boss appeared on The One Show with actress Lacey Turner last night (February 15), and admitted to eavesdropping on conversations while getting public transport in order to get inspiration for plots.

"When I am on the tube or a bus, I have my headphones in but I never turn on any music because I listen to people around me for stories," he explained.

"My friends have stopped telling stories and they don't tell me about their personal lives anymore."

Turner, who plays Walford's Stacey Branning, joked: "No-one is going to sit next to you anymore."

Discussing the show's forward planning, Treadwell-Collins admitted that he has a vague plan in place for this year's Christmas episodes already, despite it only being February.

"Tomorrow we are going to start planning August and we vaguely know next Christmas," he said. "If you don't know where you are going to go then the show ambles a bit.

"You want to know exactly where you are going so you can build and build up to the big moments in the year."

Treadwell-Collins also opened up about Peggy Mitchell's upcoming exit from the soap.

Louise Plowright, best known for playing Julie Cooper on EastEnders in the late 1980s, has died aged 59.

The actress had battled pancreatic cancer, with the sad news being announced by a fundraising page for the star.

"I am so sorry to have to let you know that an hour ago we lost Louise to that horrid disease," it said.

"All of her family were with her. The world has lost a truly special person, prodigiously talented, and a friend to all. Can I thank all of you who joined us in this battle and who helped Louise to have hope."

Plowright appeared on the BBC soap between 1989 and 1990 as Salford hairdresser Julie, known for her appetite for men.

She was also a well-known stage actress, making her debut in Mamma Mia! in 1999 and later going on to play the role of Donna for four years.

She was most recently in Wicked, though was forced to withdraw when she was diagnosed with cancer in 2013.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has revealed he looks to EastEnders' Phil Mitchell for guidance - then does the opposite.

Corbyn - a self-confessed fan of the soap - admitted that he loves how miserable it is all the time and said it's great for your "moral compass".

Making the comments on a TV debate show before recording started, he said (via The Mirror): "I'm a fan and I've watched it for years but I usually watch it on catch-up, much to the annoyance of everyone else in the house.

"It's so miserable all the time. If you ever feel that you're losing your moral compass then watch EastEnders."

He added: "You just look at what Phil Mitchell does and then do the opposite."

Wise advice there, we have to admit.

Elsewhere, Corbyn was criticised by Noel Gallagher last month as the musician compared the Labour Party under Corbyn's leadership to communism.

Steve McFadden has just reportedly become a dad for the fifth time.

The EastEnders ' star is said to be celebrating after welcoming a daughter called Frankie with his girlfriend Karen Cairns, according to the Sun newspaper.

It's a double celebration in as many weeks for the 57-year-old who won the Outstanding Achievement accolade at the British Soap Awards in May.

Steve already has son Matt McFadden, 28, with Sue Marshall, and two daughters Teona, 18, and Mollie Jane, 12, with his ex Angela Bostock.

In June 2009 Rachel Sidwell gave birth to his daughter Amelie Tinkerbell, 7, and the couple reportedly split two months later.

It's Steve's first child with his girlfriend Karen and a source told the Sun newspaper: "Steve and Karen are both over the moon with little Frankie. Her pregnancy did come as a surprise, but now they are both really happy."

The actor, who has played Phil Mitchell in the BBC soap since 1990, has been highly praised by fans recently for his emotional reaction to losing his mum Peggy Mitchell, played by Dame Barbara Windsor.

Viewers watched at the end of May as Dame Babs bowed out as Peggy after a three-decade run as the matriarch and it left her sons devestated.

Phil discovered his mum's body after she took her own life after the terminal cancer spread to her bones and her brain.

The Walford legend pulled off a tour de force performance as his character coped with the aftermath of his mum's decision to end her life.

"Steve McFadden's acting in tonight's episode was absolutely phenomenal, he definitely needs to win an award," wrote one fan.

Another added: "Steve McFadden is such an underrated actor. He's got such an amazing range and makes the character of Phil Mitchell iconic."

MirrorTV have contacted reps for the actor.

EastEnders star Belinda Owusu has issued an emotional plea after her younger brother was stabbed to death just hours after his 19th birthday last month.

Belinda Owusu, who recently reprised her role of Libby Fox, has spoken of her family's heartbreak after Ziggy Worrell-Owusu was killed after being knifed in a row at a shisha club.

Ziggy was attacked in the early hours of the morning on Thursday, October 27, and Belinda is now appealing to find his killer.

Belinda told the Evening Standard: "My brother went along with some friends to celebrate his birthday and this just happened. He was not involved in any fighting but we know there were lots of different groups of friends there and not everyone knew each other.

Ziggy Worrell-Owusu, Eastender actress Belinda Owusu brother murdered
"Someone decided they were going to bring a weapon in. It is hard to imagine anyone doing that, let alone deciding to do this to someone.

"We are not completely sure if it was their intention to hurt him or if he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time but he was not fighting."

She added: "There were lots of arguments going on that night but Ziggy was a good kid. If he saw someone in trouble he would help them.

"He had just started out, he had a 19th birthday and he was just starting to become an adult and suddenly it is all gone. It is still a shock."

EastEnders stars' whopping salaries revealed as Danny Dyer surprisingly earns more than soap veterans Steve McFadden, Adam Woodyatt and June Brown
The cockney star tops the list above the long-standing Phil Mitchell, Ian Beale and June Brown actors
The whopping salaries of the EastEnders cast have been revealed, with cockney actor Danny Dyer topping the list above soap veterans Steve McFadden and Adam Woodyatt.
The Mick Carter actor makes a staggering £400,000 a year playing the pub landlord, which is nearly £100,000 more than the next highest earner.
Steve McFadden, who stars as Walford hardman Phil Mitchell, only earns £310,000 according to the Daily Star, despite becoming the most widely recognised face of the soap.
This is also more than original cast member Adam Woodyatt, as he reportedly brings home £260,000 from his role as Ian Beale, which he has played since 1985.
The biggest female earner is June Brown, who is believed to be signing a huge contract to stay on EastEnders until at least March 2018.
Dot Branning never brought home a lot from her job at the launderette, but June has been offered £300,000 in her role as Albert Square's leading gossip.
A source revealed: "Bosses at the BBC like to open talks early so things don’t go down to the wire.
"They realise June isn’t getting any younger but she has intimated that she wants to carry on in the role as long as she feels able, so that is great news."
The two EastEnders stars making the most money are both currently off screen, as Mick was forced to fly out to see injured daughter Nancy in Bulgaria and Phil is still on holiday.
Danny Dyer was spotted arriving back on set this week after a temporary break from the soap to get his head together in January.
The 39-year-old flew out to South Africa to recuperate from his exhausting work schedule and lifestyle, but is coming back to Elstree studio after more than a month away.
His £400,000 a year contract runs out in October, but the Canning Town-born actor has received his new scripts and will return to the Square.
EastEnders viewers mocked the show after his "laughable" exit a few weeks ago, which came amidst several developing plot lines for the Carter family.

EastEnders boss John Yorke has extended his contract with the soap once again, and will be staying for an extended period.

The Exec Consultant will be around until at least the end of the year.

Yorke took office at the show in June following the departure of Sean O'Connor and has been credited on screen as Executive Consultant since November.

It's now thought that he'll stay on EastEnders until the end of this year, at least. (Prior to this news, we knew that Yorke would be staying on until June.)

Jake Wood, who plays Max Branning, told The Sun: "If you look back at the history of the show he has come out with some of the best storylines.

"He's a master of his craft. I've had about six bosses and he's the best."

Yorke has certainly made plenty of positive changes to the soap, including bringing back Mel and the Slater family, as well as introducing the current knife crime storyline.

Speaking to Digital Spy and other media, Yorke confirmed back in December that he'd be staying in charge for longer than originally planned.

"I came for three months, which was quickly extended to six, and have now agreed to stay for a full year," Yorke explained. "Arguably because it's central to public service, EastEnders is one of the most important – if not the most important – programmes on the BBC.

"But personally it's really important to me. I'd forgotten this is the best soap on television and I want to be here to make sure that happens.

"If I can help in any way with reaching that very high bar, I'm delighted to do so."
