EMMERDALE is TV’s raunchiest soap — ahead of racy Hollyoaks, a survey claims.
The farm has an average of 1.8 sexy scenes every half an hour while Hollyoaks has 1.6, magazine researchers found.
Coronation Street and EastEnders took joint third place with 1.2 each. Home and Away was the tamest soap with 0.2 naughty incidents per show.
Researchers also found sex in soaps was limited to a “bit of snogging”, or someone doing up their blouse or trousers.
Meanwhile, the Walford lot were top for violence — with an average of two scenes per episode involving bust-ups. That is twice as many as in Corrie.
Albert Square was also found to be the mouthiest, with characters using strong language nearly five times a show.
Emmerdale was second in the list, with an average four swear words.
Inside Soap editor Steven Murphy said: “Soaps are a dramatic place to live but while the level of incidents of sex, bad language and violence may seem high, we discovered what is actually seen or heard on screen is comparatively tame.”
