PC Nate Roberts (Ben Richards), continuing in his role as Safer Schools Officer, receives a call to say that the home of one of the pupils, Rhys Tanner’s (Adam Bell), has been broken into. Nate heads out of his office along with teacher Becky James (Naomi Ryan) to alert Rhys.

The pair find him in the playground where fellow student, Adam Ogden appears to be protecting his sister Lucy (Claudia Lander-Duke) from Rhys and his friend Misti Clements’ (Montana Thompson) bullying. After Becky breaks them up, Nate tells Rhys about the burglary and the teenager tells him he didn’t see anyone suspicious when he left home that morning. As the case continues, Nate discovers that Adam may be linked to the burglary and goes to find him, but is horrified to find Adam badly beaten, with Lucy standing over him. As Adam is put into an ambulance, PC Millie Brown (Clare Foster) tries to talk to Lucy but she remains silent.

Later at the hospital, Adam confesses to breaking into Rhys’s house and smashing it up. He tells a stunned DC Jo Masters (Sally Rogers) he did it because Rhys raped his sister at a party. A quiet and withdrawn Lucy is taken out of class by Millie, who brings her back to the station and gently questions her about Rhys.

Lucy tells Millie she was delighted when popular student Misti invited her to a party. There, Rhys led her upstairs and although happy to assume he liked her, Rhys forced the terrified teenaged to have sex with him. Back at school, Nate talks to Misti who insists that Lucy invited herself to the party, drank too much and threw herself at Rhys. She claims that Lucy is lying if she‘s now claiming Rhys raped her.

Elsewhere, PC Ben Gayle (Micah Balfour) finally catches up with Rhys and arrests him for the rape of Lucy, in front of his stunned mother. After Nate and Millie question all teenagers involved, a world of peer pressure, bullying and underage sex transpires, leading Nate to wonder if he will ever be able to help.
