This is just plain wrong in my eyes, even if I had the money, I would never spend this kind of money on a kid. Me thinks Mum is confusing buying things with emotional love.

What do you think?

She sounds like some kind of shopoholic who is using her kid as an excuse to spend money?

He is spoiled rotten - he will never know the value of money if he is handed everything on a plate - and what exactly was the point of giving a kid a car for their 16th birthday - your cannot even learn to drive until you are 17!!!

I know he is seventeen now - but ANOTHER car - that woman has no sense at all

Spoilt little brat. Yes as parents we want to give our kids the things we never had but there has to be a limit. There is nothing wrong with buying a car once he has passed his test but what is wrong with an old banger.

Jeez this mother is harming her kids by treating them this way. What are they going to do when they are adults? Or when she's gone, they will just blow the money and then what?

Living life wanting the latest gadget or other purely material items is not the way to live. I feel sorry for them. She's almost buying their love.

That is way too much money to spend on him, what kind of example is she setting?
