Monday March 30 2009

Lauren's gutted over losing Newt and wants him back. But he's getting closer to Anita and she's heartbroken when she sees them kiss. Lauren tries to sabotage their relationship and after revealing that she saw then kiss, warns Anita she'll never have what she had with Newt. Newt feels guilty and goes to talk to Lauren. He's shocked when he finds her in tears by her locker, which has been sprayed with graffiti. His guilt is further heightened when she reveals that it's been going on for some time but she couldn't turn to him because he's always with Anita. Newt is sorry that he's moving on quicker than she is but admits he likes Anita. It's a stab in the heart for Lauren as she clears out her locker and leaves school. Feeling isolated, Lauren's heartbreak turns to anger when she sees them together in MOBs. Lauren heads back to school under the cover of darkness and we learn she's the mystery graffiti artist. Ste's a mixture of nerves and excitement as it's Amy's due date today. He's thrilled when Natty tells him that he had a little boy yesterday and congratulates his friend. However, it's tinged with sadness as his girlfriend's just told him that he's not the baby's father. Ste begins to have doubts about Amy letting him get involved with their child but he's grateful for Natty's support when he puts his mind at rest. Theresa's trying to impress Ste and is secretly gutted when he snubs her in favour of Amy. She keeps her head held high, but ends up falling into the display at Drive 'n' Buy. After speaking to Natty, Ste's up for the challenge of winning Amy around and trying to be involved in his baby's life. Archie's still on his mission to win Sarah over as he plans his next move. He enlists a reluctant Elliot to help go through his tick list and realises he's still got some work to do - especially if he's to become a millionaire. In an attempt to raise some cash, Archie sets up a stand outside the SU Bar selling tickets for a bogus May Day ball. However, Elliot feels uncomfortable when he realises he's misleading everyone into buying tickets. Archie does a runner when his scam is uncovered, leaving Elliot to deal with a group of angry lads. Sarah's in the process of telling Elliot she's not falling for a con man when Archie appears at the end of a line of Hare Krishna's. They can't help being amused as Archie declares he's a spiritual millionaire and begs Sarah to give into him. Sarah, however, holds her ground. Archie gets news from the All England Flat Green Bowling Association that sneezegate has been discounted and he's invited to play in their international friendly match tomorrow. Maybe there is hope after all. Sasha's heartbroken after Warren dumped her and blames Calvin for splitting them up. Calvin tries to do his best for his sister but he's frustrated when he seemingly pushes her further away. Sasha goes to see Amy but she doesn't hear what she wants to hear when Amy tells her that she's better off without Warren. Amy feels bad for telling the truth and backs off, telling Sasha she's just fed up of her own life. The two friends comfort each other. Sasha layer tries to take her mind off Warren by putting the finishing touches to her prom dress, but it only reminds her that she doesn't actually have a date. Sasha finally realises it's over with Warren and takes comfort from Calvin as she breaks down in her brother's arms.

Tuesday 31/03

Ste's anxious for news on Amy's baby but Josh is keeping him at arm's length, determined to stay in control. Natty takes his mind off things for a while when he invites him to The Dog to meet his friend Daniel. He's a little intimidated by Daniel at first but things seem to go well. Ste's angry when he sees Josh out with Lydia as he's supposed to be looking after Amy. Josh goads Ste and he's about to punch him when Daniel holds him back. Ste strains to be let lose but he soon realises that Daniel's a lot harder than him and he runs off, embarrassed and afraid. Knowing Josh is out, Ste goes to see Amy who's fed up being pregnant and has been browsing the internet in search of ways to induce labour. She's glad of the company after being on her own all day and is annoyed when Ste tells her Josh is in the pub. In need of some pampering, Amy lets Ste look after her. In the heat of the moment, however, they kiss. It's Archie's big chance to woo Sarah as he plays in the international bowls friendly. Elliot wakes him up bright and early to prepare him for the game. Sarah isn't planning to watch until she realises it was her fault he was disqualified last time and she decides to go and cheer him on. Archie's delighted when Sarah turns up, sure he's on a promise. All he needs now is to get his England cap and he's onto a winner. But Elliot doesn't share his confidence as everyone in the team is playing brilliantly and he doesn't think Archie stands a chance of getting a game. Feeling bad for ruining his chances last time, Sarah asks Elliot to help her make it up to him and they lock one of the players in the toilet to give Archie his chance. Archie finally gets his England cap but he's not won yet - he still has to find enough money to make himself a millionaire and Sarah's not letting him give up. Archie takes one final gamble with Sarah, though, and finally gets his girl. Anita feels a little conflicted dating her best friend's ex but she's having so much fun with Newt that she casts her worries aside. Lauren sees them laughing together in school and turns on the tears, making Anita look like she's caused her more trouble by telling her dad about the graffiti on her locker. Newt hates seeing Lauren so upset and comforts her, but he's shocked when they walk Lauren home and find a can of spray paint in Anita's bag. Anita's gutted when Lauren accuses of being the graffiti artist. Newt has his doubts, but he manages to unite them all in finding out who the culprit is.

Wednesday 01/04

Now the thrill of the chase is over with Sarah, Archie reverts to his usual egocentric self, leaving Sarah feeling neglected. She covers when questioned by Lydia and Leila, painting Archie as the thoughtful and attentive boyfriend.
Sarah's façade is shattered however, when Archie arrives at dance class and proves he's not lost his lust for the ladies. Horrified, Sarah pulls herself together and puts on a passionate dance show with Lydia for Archie's benefit. Unsuccessful with the other girls, Archie crawls to Sarah, claiming his behaviour was just an April fool. But enlightened by his treatment of her, Sarah tells him where to go and leaves with her head held high. Sarah offers to buy Lydia a thank you drink, which Lydia gladly accepts. With the passion of their dance still running through their veins, Lydia pulls Sarah aside and kisses her. Sarah momentarily reciprocates, leaving her once again at the hands of sexual confusion. Filled with guilt from her kiss with Ste the previous night, Amy finds herself snapping at Josh without reason. Oblivious, Josh does his best to look after his girlfriend. Ste, meanwhile, is still on a high and agrees to go and meet Daniel with Natty in The Dog. When Dominic shows up as well, Daniel's not impressed and makes it clear that he's an unwelcome guest. As Ste and Josh's paths cross, Josh is riled when Ste announces that he kissed Amy the previous night. Unable to control his anger, Josh lashes out, punching Ste.
Meanwhile, Lauren's lapping up the attention from Newt since she told him she was being bullied. Newt plays the dutiful friend, neglecting his own relationship with Anita. Lauren enjoys playing the victim and fuels Anita with envy as she tells her how good Newt is being. In a bid to release her fury, Anita takes it out on the football in a P.E. lesson. With Newt at the sideline watching the girls, Anita strikes the ball but she miss-hits, sending it flying into Lauren, who once again milks the attention from Newt as he takes her home. An anxious Anita cannot contain herself, worried that she's ruined things between her and Newt. To Lauren's dismay, Newt announces that Anita is his girlfriend. Leila starts her first tango lesson, finding herself up close and personal with Fernando. A jealous Elliot looks on, determined to prove that he, too, is fuelled with raw passion. As Leila and Elliot take to the floor, the sexual tension rises. In true Elliot style, he caves under the pressure, suggesting they should wait for a less-intimate dance. A flustered Leila agrees, relieved to be released from their clinch.

Lauren meets a loved-up Anita and Newt at the school gates and, riled by their public show of affection, she pretends to be scared to go into school because of the bullies. Anita and Newt feel genuinely sorry for Lauren and when Newt spots her heading into the toilets for lunch, he tries to reassure her. Misreading the signs, Lauren tries to kiss a shocked Newt but runs off when he rejects her. Later, Lauren is in the school toilets when Anita walks in and realising she has another opportunity to frame Anita, Lauren dunks her head in the sink and races out into the corridor, soaking wet. As Lauren is explaining to Newt, Theresa and Gov that she's been bog-washed, an innocent and unaware Anita leaves the toilet and is bewildered by the accusation. Theresa, Newt and Gov are shocked to 'learn' that Anita is apparently bullying Lauren, prompting a furious Gov to haul Anita to his office. Sarah is mortified and confused after Lydia made a pass at her the night before, as she feels that she may have encouraged it. At college, things are slightly awkward between Sarah and Zoe since Sarah dumped Archie, but Zoe sees an opportunity to make amends. Convinced Zoe knows about Lydia, Sarah is flustered when she sees Lydia approaching them and turns her back to ensure Lydia doesn't stop. Zoe picks up on Sarah's edginess but assumes it's down to Archie. Later over a drink, Sarah confides in Zoe that someone made a pass at her last night but as she's telling the story, Lydia walks in. The three girls end up enjoying their evening together and the atmosphere becomes relaxed. A tipsy Sarah finds her attraction to Lydia growing and once alone, admits she may have encouraged Lydia to kiss her. A brooding Josh is still hurt and angry after learning about Ste and Amy's kiss and he's quick to tell a shocked Sarah about it when he sees her. Later, he bumps into Ste and the pair come to blows again. Hurt and humiliated, Josh can't cope with the thought of Amy and Ste together and so decides to confront Amy about her actions. Amy apologises to Josh and begs for his forgiveness but Ste soon arrives and Josh is sent into a rage once more. Amy tells Josh she'll do anything for him but Josh knows things won't be right until Ste is out of their lives. Desperate, Amy gives Josh his wish and bans a horrified Ste from the birth of their baby.
Meanwhile, Kris is pleasantly surprised when he answers his door to find Ravi. There's an immediate sexual chemistry between the pair. Locked away in the bathroom, Kris and Ravi are kissing in no time but both quickly become frustrated. Ravi, as he wants to get straight down to what he came for, while Kris wants to sit down and chat for a little bit. Ravi admits to Kris that Ash is really getting to him and is making him feel like a freak. Feeling sorry for him, Kris gives in and the pair become more passionate. Later, Ravi tells Kris about a family party that's arranged for the next night but is horrified when Kris wants to go.

Bel's in a whirl as she begins the preparations for Ram Navami, and the rest of the family are soon caught up in the mêlée. As golden boy Ash appears to be excluded from helping out, the rest of the siblings find themselves under pressure to muck in. Gov makes his displeasure clear about Anita's bullying and even though she tries to defend herself, her voice is lost as the chaos in the kitchen drowns her out.
Seeing the opportunity to steal some booze, Anita helps herself and uses Kris's arrival as a timely diversion. As Kris is welcomed into the family celebrations, Anita finds herself growing in confidence and becoming increasingly cheeky, buoyed by the alcohol. Ash, too, is up to mischief and slyly goads Ravi over his relationship with Kris.
Seizing the moment, Ravi decides it's time to come out to his family. However, his moment is ruined when Anita promptly throws up all over the dining table. Eventually telling everyone, Ravi is shocked to hear that his parents already knew he was gay - nevertheless, they're in for a bigger shock when Ravi tells them he's seeing Kris and that he's actually bi-sexual.
Bel's just upset that Ash and Leila knew about it. However, it's Anita who takes the news the hardest, fearing she'll be bullied for her brother dating the flamboyant transvestite. Kris struggles to cope with Ravi's wish for commitment and although he fancies him, he never wanted more than just a bit of fun. As the ramifications of his honesty hit home, Ravi's left facing a lonely future without Kris by his side.
Michaela and Sasha's arrival signal the start of fun for the girls as a reluctant Amy finds herself caught up in the prom excitement. Realising she's forgotten to give the childminder Leah's favourite cuddly toy - Mr Duck - Amy insists she'll follow them up. Ste calls around, though, and finds Amy in a cleaning frenzy, scrubbing the kitchen.
After reaching into a high cupboard, they're shocked as they discover Amy's waters have broken. Amy insists Ste should call Josh as he's her birth partner, however, he quickly realises things are moving far too swiftly. Making a hasty phone call, Ste calls in the cavalry and is grateful when Daniel and his wife, Abi, arrive. Luckily, Abi's a nurse. Amy and Ste gaze down on their newborn son, totally overawed by what they've created.
An excited Michaela and Sasha head into The Loft and look forward to the night ahead. Josh enjoys being out at the prom and, instead of worrying where Amy is, he grabs Sasha and whisks her onto the dance floor. Insisting he doesn't want to pressure Amy any further, Josh dismisses Michaela and Sasha's suggestion of checking on Amy and continues to party.
Hearing of Amy's in labour is a life-defining moment for Josh and after he wobbles with the pressure of impending fatherhood, he eventually fleeing into the night unable to face her. Mike and Sarah's relationship is still strained, but there's a clear feeling that both are missing each other. On receiving a call to say that Amy's in labour, an excited Sarah tells Mike the news, which finally brings them together. Agreeing closure on the whole Zoe debacle, they tentatively reach a reconciliation when Mike realises that family means everything to him.
