EastEnders chiefs are hoping to lure the Jackson family back to Albert Square, a report claims.

The plan would see Dean Gaffney (Robbie), Natalie Cassidy (Sonia), Lindsey Coulson (Carol), Howard Antony (Alan) and Devon Anderson (Billy) reunited on-screen for the first time in twelve years.

Patsy Palmer has been a hit with viewers since reprising her role as Bianca Jackson on the BBC One soap in 2007.

"Bosses believe bringing back the entire clan would be fantastic for viewing figures," a source told The People. "And it would allow more storylines involving Bianca, particularly as she has been so popular since her return."

Palmer called for the return of her on-screen mother Carol last month. However, Coulson has previously ruled out an Albert Square comeback.

The insider added: "At the moment, without Lindsey onside, Natalie Cassidy is top of the priority list and bosses are confident she will want to return. Once she is back, it paves the way for the rest of the family to follow, with or without Lindsey."

A BBC spokesperson confirmed that producers were "thrilled" by Palmer's return, but denied plans for a Jackson family reunion.

Alan? ALAN? he had left years before Carol and the rest, he and Carol split up! all the others are plausible i guess...

The only Jackson i'd like to see back if only for a visit is Carol afterall her father and brothers and daughter (dont think they talk) now live on the Square

Lindsey Coulson has made it clear she won't return and I think we can do without the rest. and anyway if they brought Robbie back wouldnt they have to bring that annoying girlfriend of his back too?

Don't let Louisa Lyntton know, she'll try and convince the writers that she is a long-lost Jackson. :rotfl:

He has been gone for years, in soapland, relationships usually don't last very long. He will probably have a different lady friend now :)

Natalie Cassidy has been desperate to rejoin the cast for months. I don't see how having all the Jackson's back will be good viewing. They've all got their own lives now. Sonia's a nurse, Robbie was in India and Carol in south London lol. Why would they all come together, just to live on the square? Better off saving this reunion for Jim's funeral. I'm all for bringing back old characters, but there are plenty of other unexplored storylines such as Michelle and Grant's baby.

I love the idea of some of them coming back
