Heel pain

The past couple of weeks I noticed that the outside edge towards the heel of my left foot is quite painful, especially when I first get up out of bed. It takes a while to disappear after going to bed too, which makes going to sleep impossible. I am not aware of hurting it and have not been exercising to excess. I can't get a doctor's appointment until Wednesday. Anybody have any idea what it could be? :searchme:

yea I was thinking the same thing I had heel spurs before and they were painful, went to a foot doctor, after a few "treatments" he suggested shoe inserts..after wearing them for about 3 weeks the pain subsided,, I have not had any more problems with the heel spur in 10 or more years now.. Hope you find some relief soon, cos it is very painful :(
