Angela Griffin has claimed that she was a "terrible" actress when she starred on Coronation Street.
In an interview with We Love Telly! magazine, the star confirmed that she is keen to redeem herself by reprising her role as Fiona Middleton.
Asked if her acting has improved, Griffin replied: "God, I hope so. My mum found Corrie's Viva Las Vegas video in a sale recently, and I thought: 'God, I'm terrible'.
"Now I'm a bit more natural. It was hard at 19 to do intense soap storylines like losing babies."
The actress added that returning to the ITV1 show could be daunting, as expectations of soap stars have changed since the '90s.
"It was a different beast then. Now it's all about soap babe calendars, parties and self-promotion," she explained. "I'm so glad I was protected by the press office at the time."
Griffin appeared on the soap from 1993 to 1998 and has since starred in Cutting It, Down To Earth and Waterloo Road.
