Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has turned down an offer from Neighbours producers to make a cameo appearance.
According to fansite Perfect Blend, Martin, who is currently touring Australia with Coldplay, was given a choice of three dates by producers but was unable to fit the appearance into his schedule.
"He's a mad Neighbours fan, but unfortunately it just didn't work with the schedule this time," a spokeswoman for the soap said.
Meanwhile, professional wrestler Dave 'Batista' Bautista filmed a cameo role earlier this week with the soap while in Australia on a promotional tour.
