CORRIE star Reece Dinsdale signed up for the show after being blown away by the talents of Michelle Keegan.
The former Home To Roost star, who plays Joe McIntyre, joined the ITV soap just months after Michelle, who plays his onscreen daughter Tina.
He said: “The reason I’m in the show is chiefly down to Michelle. I was watching it one night and turned to my wife and said, ‘That girl playing Tina is unbelievable. She’s brilliant.’
“The next day my agent rang and said, ‘You don’t fancy playing Tina’s dad in Coronation Street do you?’ If you go into a soap you want to be working with good people. I’ve not been disappointed.”
That is nice of him to say so, I agree, she is a great actress.
