I really doubt this is true - I think there would be more mention of this in the spoilers!

Why is Peggy in hospital?

Peggy (Barbara Windsor) collapses during her local election campaign debate speech. As Archie (Larry Lamb) and Pat (Pam St Clement) visit her in hospital, Archie's concerned that his bride-to-be's cancer may have returned.

With the doctors looking for signs of a minor stroke, Archie attempts to reassure her that it's more than likely stress-induced.

This happens the week before on 17 March.

Well from the spoilers they will find out before the wedding.. unless it is just Archie who finds out before the wedding and keeps his mouth shut... and then it all comes out at Easter?? All I can say is the sooner the better cause it has gone on far too long

archie definitely finds out before the wedding (the spoilers tell us this). im guessing peggy and probably roxy dont find out before the wedding as i cant see peggy marrying archie to then throw him out. i dunno when ronnie finds out though, if its before the wedding then it must be that no one believes her about what archie did. if she knows about danielle and danielle dies before the wedding i cant see ronnie going to the wedding somehow, and im pretty certain she goes which makes me think danielle will die after. i dunno for definite though

maybe, but she gets there too late or something, or peggy decides to go along with it anyway so shes not humiliated? i still think danielle wont die before that though even if ronnie does find out

More details:-

Monday 23rd

As Peggy's due to return from hospital later in the day, Archie arranges a family meal, inviting Ronnie along in the process. As father and daughter talk, Ronnie reveals that she doesn't think she'll ever be able to forget about what happened all those years ago when he forced her to give her baby up for adoption. She goes on to disclose her secret desire and hope that one day, her daughter will knock on her front door. Upon Peggy's return to The Vic, Archie reminds her about the ultimatum he issued her with the previous week - she must choose between their wedding and her local election campaign. Danielle, meanwhile, is itching to reveal her true identity to Peggy, but a conniving Archie manages to stop her before she does. He lies that Ronnie once said that if her daughter ever tracked her down, she'd commit suicide.

Settling on a future with Archie over her campaign, Peggy informs Archie that she's decided to pull out as a candidate for the local elections. Over the Mitchell family meal, Archie and Peggy are delighted when Ronnie agrees to attend their wedding. However, out of the corner of his eye, Archie spots Danielle in the hallway and he's taken aback by her determination - she's going nowhere until Ronnie knows that she's her daughter.

Meanwhile, Theo arrives at the Truemans' with Tommy Clifford, the author of the book that he's researching for. At first, Patrick's uncertain about Tommy, but they soon begin to chat about Patrick's time growing up in London. All's going well until Patrick spots a newspaper cutting with the headline 'Girl dies in fire'. At that point, Patrick suddenly sees red and kicks Tommy out of the house.

Elsewhere, Billy worries about Jay after he spent so long living rough on the streets; Polly informs Tanya that Max tracked her down and Polly insists she tell Max to leave well alone; Peggy gives Billy some money to buy him a new suit and Jay a school uniform, but Jay ends up spending it all on a new suit for Billy; and Max and Abi accuse Tanya of purposely not telling either of them anything about Lauren.

Tuesday, March 24

Bradley's pleased to hear that Syd's moving to Walford, but he has more pressing things on his mind. As he pretends to work from home, Max realises that his son's been sacked, before Bradley comes clean that he doesn't even have any money for rent. Concerned that Syd won't be interested in him if he has no job, Max suggests that he lie.

Later in the pub, however, it's clear that Bradley has decided to follow Max's advice. After spending the evening together, Syd encourages a repeat performance tomorrow night, leaving Bradley wondering where exactly he's going to find more cash for another date.

Meanwhile, Janine's bought a sports car to sell at the Car Lot, but she's furious that she's been roped into looking after Tiffany for the day. It's not long before Janine's distracted, though, by a well-dressed man called Rupert who's interested in buying the flashy motor. Assuming that little Tiffany is Janine's daughter, Rupert mentions that he's a single-parent divorcee, too. Clocking onto the fact that Tiffany could come in extremely handy, Janine arranges to meet Rupert again tomorrow so the kids can meet and he can test drive the car.

Elsewhere, Ricky and Bianca attend parents' evening for Liam and Tiffany and while Tiffany gets a glowing report, Liam's teacher suggests he needs some additional help with his homework; Patrick agrees to meet Tommy again to pick up from where they left off the previous day; Ian's not happy with the small profit margins that Zainab and Jane have projected for the contract to cater for Peggy and Archie's wedding and so he decides to make some adjustments to their figures; and despite having listened to Patrick's tales all night, it soon becomes apparent when he's alone that Tommy has an ulterior motive…

Thursday, March 26

Completely unaware of Janine's true motives, Ricky agrees to let Janine look after Tiffany for the day. Janine, meanwhile strikes a deal with the red-headed youngster – if Tiffany pretends to be Janine's daughter for the day, Janine will give her custody of Terrence again. It's not long before Rupert - the guy who was interested in the flashy car - arrives with his daughter Portia. Janine's in her element. Meanwhile, when Bianca discovers that Janine's taking care of Tiffany for the day, she hits the roof.

Searching for them both, Bianca's horrified to see Tiffany getting into Rupert's car. As Bianca flies off the handle at Janine for using Tiffany as bait to catch a bloke and sell a car, Janine's publicly humiliated in front of Rupert as her lies are exposed. Janine's livid that she lost the car sale and takes her anger out on Ricky. Janine questions Ricky as to why he's so interested in someone else's child. Unable to keep his secret any longer, Ricky swears his sister to secrecy and reveals that he's Tiffany's biological father.

Meanwhile, Roxy invites Jack to the wedding in the hope that he'll help in looking after baby Amy. Ronnie's crushed when she hears what her sister has done, but Archie suggests that she put the past behind her and not let it prevent her attending the nuptials. Danielle is later seen with a wedding card to Peggy and Archie and signs it: 'from your granddaughter'…

Elsewhere, Ricky tries to help Liam with his homework; Bradley decides to confess to Syd that he has no job and he's taken aback when she responds with a kiss; Minty's finds himself helping Peggy with errands in preparation for the wedding; Jean attends an interview for a checkout position at a supermarket, but it inconsolable when she doesn't get it; Manda jumps to Minty's defence when he loses Phil's suit; and Chops the pig is stolen from Charlie's summer house.

Friday, March 27

Archie's seething when Danielle hands him the wedding card which she signed 'from your granddaughter'. He later tears it up. Roxy calls on Danielle to babysit Amy while she goes to Booty. Later, when the Mitchells go to the wedding rehearsal, Danielle sneaks upstairs in The Vic and begins to rummage through family photos. While she's there, she also writes her birthday on the calendar.

Archie, along with the rest of the Mitchell clan return home from he rehearsal and he's unnerved when he sees Amy with Danielle's locket. Realising his granddaughter is upstairs, Archie marches her out of the pub. Looking at a photo she took of her and Amy, Danielle seems happy with the prospect of being reunited with her mother and family. However, despite Archie's warning never pull a stunt like she did with the necklace again, Danielle's insistent – either he tells her before the wedding, or she will…

Meanwhile, Janine promises to keep Ricky's paternity secret safe on the condition that he lets her look after Tiffany for the day again – she's managed to talk Rupert around to meeting her later in the day. Janine's getting on like a house on fire with Tiffany, but when Bianca realises what's going on, she's furious. An argument between the pair ensues and as insults are traded, Janine refrains from revealing that she knows the truth about Ricky being Tiffany's biological father. Now in a foul mood, Janine snatches Terrence back from Tiffany. Pat, meanwhile, reassures Bianca that Janine will get her just desserts.

Elsewhere, Pat cautions Peggy about being controlled by Archie; Jane's stunned by Ian's plans for Chops; Bradley helps Janine get a job; and Peggy's shocked to find Chops in the cellar of The Vic.
