UNSEEN footage of classic comedy Fawlty Towers will be aired in a tribute to mark 30 years since the show ended.
Monty Python legend John Cleese — who wrote the original series with his then wife Connie Booth, who played Polly — will front the UKTV programme and be joined by fellow stars Andrew Sachs and Prunella Scales.
An insider said: “Fawlty Towers is almost everyone’s favourite sitcom so there will be a huge appetite for this. John will be rooting around for some of the best clips and talking through his favourite bits.
“And there will be some unseen footage that hit the cutting room floor too.
“It will be a real trip down memory lane for fans.”
Fawlty Towers — set in a fictional seaside hotel run by eccentric owner Basil Fawlty (Cleese) — ran for only 12 episodes in the late 1970s.
John came up with the idea after he and his fellow Python stars were staying at a hotel in Torquay, Devon.
I have got all 12 episodes on video still, it was a funny show
