ITV has added to its slate of new dramas for 2009, commissioning a new crime series and a comedy drama.
Identity, from Ed Whitmore, is a six-part primetime drama set in a fictitious police department that investigates identity theft.
The second series, Married, Single, Other, is a comedy drama centered around three couples living in Leeds.
ITV's director of drama Laura Mackie told Broadcast: "I want to commission really good quality, popular, mainstream series and mini-series - primarily for 9 o'clock - with great writing talent, great directing talent, and great on-screen talent. We want projects that are really gonna work for our audience."
Sounds promising
