Kym is back on Corrie set

BRAVE Corrie star Kym Marsh has returned to work just two weeks after the tragic death of her baby son, TV Biz can reveal.

The grief-stricken actress made a comeback to the cobbles earlier this week.

Kym, 32, barmaid Michelle Connor in the ITV1 soap, had tiny Archie Jay 18 weeks early on February 11.

She was expecting the son with her actor-fiancé Jamie Lomas — Warren Fox in Hollyoaks.

A show source said: “Kym is devastated but wanted to get back to work and try and start getting back to normal.

“We’re very careful to make sure she doesn’t do too much. She’s been through so much. Her friends on the show are being an enormous source of comfort.”

Kym announced the end of her marriage to former EastEnders actor Jack Ryder last March.

She also has two children from a previous relationship.

Poor Kym she is going to find it so difficult as corrie will be full of baby talk. I'm surprised she has returned so soon. I didn't think she would return.

KYM Marsh cut a sad figure as she was photographed for the first time since losing her baby today.

The grieving actress, who plays Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, tried put on a brave face as she donned a striking red and black frock and fishnets to film scenes for the ITV1 soap on location at Manchester’s Great John Street Hotel.

But the mournful expression on her face couldn’t hide her heartbreak, following the tragic death of her son Archie Jay, who passed away seconds after being born 18 weeks prematurely on February 11.

Last week TV Biz revealed that the 32-year-old had returned to work just two weeks after the tot died.

Today a Corrie insider said: ”Kym is determined to try and get back to normal despite being devastated over the loss of her baby.

"No one wanted her to over do it when she came back so her first scenes were filmed at the studios. But Kym wants to throw herself back into work and if that meant appearing in public places then she felt so be it.

"She’s obviously very fragile at present but Kym is a trooper and does not want to let the show down by taking any more time off.

"Everyone is talking about how brave she is and Kym is taking comfort in the knowledge that all her friends in the show have shown her the warmest support.”

Kym was expecting the baby with her 28-year-old actor-fiancé Jamie Lomas, who plays Warren Fox in Hollyoaks, and is also believed to now be back at work.

The soap couple were overjoyed to announce they were expecting a child together in December following a whirlwind six-month romance.
