CORRIE kidnapper John Stape is coming back to the soap — to marry Fiz behind bars.
The former teacher, who had a fling with pupil Rosie Webster before keeping her prisoner, will wed Fiz in jail after she forgives him for his crimes.
The pair split when Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) discovered he was giving 16-year-old Rosie (Helen Flanagan) private lessons of an intimate nature.
Eventually she forgave him but they split when deranged John (Graeme Hawley) confessed to kidnapping Rosie.
Fiz helped the terrified teenager to escape.
Despite his crimes, Fiz starts to forgive John when she receives love letters he has written from his prison cell.
Soon Fiz realises John is finding it hard to survive in jail, where he is serving a two-year sentence.
He is being bullied and beaten by other inmates, who regard him as no better than a sex offender.
Fiz is so determined to keep his spirits up that on one visit she proposes to him and he jumps at the chance of marrying her.
But John doesn’t want to wait till his release and so they agree to hold the wedding inside the prison.
Fiz isn’t sure at first whether to go ahead, but she is convinced by close friends that it would be the right thing to do.
Her pal Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh) tells her: “Go for it, Fiz. It’ll be dead romantic.
“You can have the wedding in prison and then you can have a big party when John gets out.”
