CHRIS Tarrant has been so gripped by the success of Slumdog Millionaire it has inspired him to act.
Tarrant, whose gameshow Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? is central to the plot, said: “I’m thrilled with the success of Slumdog — it is an amazing movie and deserves all the awards.
“I’ve always wanted to be a gangster on The Bill. But I’d have to play a real baddie.”
While he waits for the call, Chris unveils new gameshow The Colour of Money tonight.
It is billed as the most stressful show on telly because the contestants need steely nerves to win.
Army wife Diane Dawson, 35, tries to get enough cash for a camcorder to record family moments for her husband in Afghanistan. Tarrant admitted: “It’s the most emotional show I’ve ever worked on.”
