UNTOUCHABLE :D released April 27th. Excellent choice imo, one of my faves. Only problem is their gonna have to shorten it so i hope it still sounds as good!

I love all of the songs from this album. This and The Loving Kind are my favourites.. They sound too similar to be released one after the other IMO, which is a shame :(

They sound too similar to be released one after the other IMO, which is a shame :(yeah I do kinda agree in a way. Im quite surprised they went with this actually, I expected something more upbeat to be next like Miss You Bow Wow (that'd be a great single I think) But i'm still happy with Untouchable.

Absent Elk have been drafted in to support Girls Aloud on their upcoming 'Out Of Control' tour.
The Shoreham-based band, who signed a six-figure recording contract with Sony last year, will hit the road with the girl group next month.
Absent Elk caught the attention of Girls Aloud's management after their cover of 'The Loving Kind' (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a138825/girls-aloud-the-loving-kind.html) was viewed over 50,000 times in a week on YouTube.
"We recorded the cover in my living room in Shoreham Beach with a hand held camera," band member Ross Martin told The Argus.
"It was tongue in cheek and fun more than anything, but a lot of people watched it and our record company entered in to talks with Girls Aloud record company and eventually they chose us as a support band.
"We haven't met the girls yet but will start the tour on April 24 and finish May 8.
"We're excited but at the moment we're concerned with making it good. We'll be playing to an arena of 22,000 or more so there are new and different issues to think about."
The group consists of Norwegian singer Kjetil Morland, drummer Ric Wilson, guitarist Mike Hillman and bassist James Penhallow.
Absent Elk release their debut single 'Sun And Water' on May 18.

4 stars from Digitalspy:

The original version of 'Untouchable' serves as the centrepiece on Girls Aloud's Out of Control album: it's a declaration of mutual solidarity, a raved up torch song and a pop tour de force all rolled into one. It also runs to a whopping six minutes and 51 seconds, which only George Michael thinks is a realistic length for a pop single.

Consequently, 'Untouchable' has been been chopped and changed for its single release. It now comes in a shade under four minutes and the girls' vocals, for no apparent reason, have acquired a bit of vocoder in the edit. Some of the epic quality of the original has been lost, but 'Untouchable' remains surprising, thrilling and strangely moving - in short, classic Girls Aloud.

Cheryl Cole has reportedly amassed a personal fortune of £10 million since appearing on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.
The Girls Aloud star has earned almost double that of fellow band members Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding, according to The Mirror.
Cole has allegedly so far secured £2.25m as a judge on The X Factor, £4.8m from Girls Aloud record sales, commercial deals and touring, £1m for selling a mansion and a further £1m from photo rights to her wedding.
Meanwhile, Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle is said to have netted a total fortune of £6.7m after building up a successful property portfolio in Britain and the US.
Roberts, Harding and Walsh are each reportedly worth between £5.6 and £5.8m, having secured £4.8m from their seven years in Girls Aloud and individual projects.
Girls Aloud release new single 'Untouchable' (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a151503/girls-aloud-untouchable.html) on April 27.

Girls Aloud fans have launched an online campaign to restore the group's record-breaking chart run.

'Untouchable' - the five-piece's last single before embarking on solo projects - stalled at number eleven in May, becoming the first of their 21 singles to miss out on a top ten placing.

However, fans of the girlband have now set up a Rage Against The Machine-style Facebook group to correct the blemish.

"The objective is to get 'Untouchable' back on the top 10," the campaign's organisers explained. "To do this, we are going to choose a specific week when we will proceed to download the song and/or its remixes from any download site that count towards the chart."

However, they urged fellow fans not to act too hastily in showing their support, adding: "DON'T start downloading the song until we choose the week. If you download it now it won't have any effect. We all need to download the song at once on the same week."

US rockers Rage Against The Machine beat Joe McElderry to the top of this year's Christmas singles chart after an anti-X Factor Facebook group was launched.

Here is the facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=218518120982&ref=search&sid=544220290.1479026005..1
