Lindsay Ephgrave underwent a dramatic transformation on the show after ditching her long blonde hair for a Katie Holmes-style brown bob, courtesy of celebrity hairdresser Charles Worthington.
However, after the makeover was complete, her 10-month-old Charlie failed to recognise her and burst into tears.
Viewers then heard the upset baby crying for his 'mama' and the show's hosts Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton suggested that the mother and baby go backstage to get reacquainted.
An ITV spokesperson for This Morning said: "We are thrilled that Lindsay loved her new look. Charles did a fantastic job transforming her original long blonde hair into a brunette Katie Holmes style during the show.
"We just hope that her son is getting used to his mummy's new look."
