Duffy has decided to ditch her retro sound when she records her second studio album, according to a report.
The Daily Star claims that the Welsh singer is planning to emulate Mariah Carey when she starts work on the follow-up to her award-winning Rockferry disc.
A source told the newspaper: "Duffy and the team around her are very aware of how successful she has been by channelling a 60s vibe, but they are already starting to think about album number two. She is keen to explore a Mariah or Christina Aguilera style of album."
The insider added: "On the next record, Duffy can afford to be a bit more experimental now that she is assured her position as a singing force to be reckoned with."
Rockferry was named as the Best Pop Vocal Album at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.
I was hoping for more of the same, will have to wait and see what I think of a different style like Mariah or Christina :hmm:
