Train dodging

On tonight's news I have just seen footage of people trying to outrace a train by running over unmanned level crossings at the last moment - one guy lost only a shoe, what are people thinking of? I would never dream of running over level crossing knowing a train is on the way. I know it seems to be ages sometimes, waiting for the train to actually pass but surely we can wait a couple of minutes?

I saw that, too. Honestly, I would rather be a minute or so late than never arrive at all.

I used to have to walk from the bus stop up a long road to school and there was a level crossing. Some stupid kids would jump over the barriers while they were down or while they were closing, often at the end of the day to try and catch the train that was coming! Its a wonder that no ones been killed. Apparently they are going to build a bridge. Don't know if that will happen though.

i cant believe people are this stupid to run out right in front of the train! although i have seen people try and drive through the barriers while theyre closing! and the bus sometimes sits across thre tracks when theres a jam which is quite scary!
