Lucas's wife Trina turns up in Walford
Airs on Monday, February 23 2009 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One

As Denise takes her frustrations out on the exercise bike, Patrick reassures Lucas that his way of approaching their relationship shows that he loves her. Lucas, meanwhile, has set up a soup kitchen outside the chippy and Ian's furious, especially when Lucas produces the correct permit to run it. While Ian claims that the local homeless people will steal from the market stalls, Denise turns up and asks what needs to be done - she's on board with the idea. As the pair discuss going to the cinema later that night, Lucas's eyes fix on a recognisable face across the street - his wife, Trina.

Seeing Trina approach the soup van, Lucas ushers Denise away. Once she is out of the way, Lucas attempts to find out why Trina is in Walford. He's not happy when she reveals that she wants to give their relationship another go. As Denise moves closer to the soup van, Trina and Lucas are inside with the hatch closed. The door swings open and Patrick is stunned to learn Trina's identity. After a discussion with Trina in the café, Patrick is forced to confront Lucas - he knows where he was on Christmas Day...

Meanwhile, Zainab tells Denise about her current business and relationship successes, which hits a raw nerve with her friend. However, as Zainab tries to pay for her shopping, she's shocked when her card is rejected. Confused, she marches over to the café and accuses Ian of withdrawing money from the business account. When Ian reveals that his new account card has only just arrived, Zainab is puzzled. With confirmation from the bank that the money was been taken using Zainab's card, she accuses Masood of trying to ruin the family business again. As they argue, however, Tamwar's on the phone in the Square and tells the caller that he has the money...

Elsewhere, Ricky and Bianca deal with the aftermath of Whitney's thieving spree, but Ricky thinks that she needs to see a counsellor; and Danielle returns to the Square after returning home to see her father in Telford and she's happy to land her job back at The Vic.

Patrick is left shaken after Lucas's revelation
Airs on Tuesday, February 24 2009 at 19:30 GMT on BBC One

Following Trina's appearance yesterday, Patrick confronts Lucas about keeping his ex's presence in the Square a secret. Patrick is adamant that Lucas should talk to Denise about his past, but Lucas is firm - he'll talk in his own time. However, Patrick insists that he won't let him marry Denise until she knows the full story. Over at Booty, meanwhile, Theo arrives to see Chelsea. He reveals that he's a researcher and wants to talk to Patrick about the Notting Hill riots. As they're looking through old press cuttings, Theo's phone rings and he takes the call outside, where he informs the person on the other end that he's working on Chelsea.

When Chelsea returns home, she reveals to Lucas that she doesn't think Theo is telling the whole truth about why he's in Walford, and pulls a newspaper clipping from her bag which features news of a young Patrick having been convicted of assault years ago. As the Truemans eat their pancakes, Lucas quizzes Patrick on the Notting Hill riots. It's not long before Patrick's reminiscing about the time when a racist barman lost his licence after a joint was placed into his pocket. When Patrick talks about standing up to ignorance, Lucas interjects and asks if Patrick was involved.

When Chelsea arrives at The Vic to meet her Booty colleague Gaynor, Theo's there and asks for his press cutting back. Although denying it at first, she admits that she passed the clipping to Lucas. Worried that Theo will start blackmailing Patrick, Theo attempts to allay her fears and insists that she's wrong about Patrick. Asking if she wants to see Patrick hurt, Theo asks for Chelsea's help but she doesn't know which way to turn for the best.

Later, before Lucas leaves the house to pick Jordan up, Patrick insists that he tell Denise about Trina when he returns. However, in the hope of silencing him, Lucas shows a stunned Patrick the newspaper clipping with the headline 'Negro charged with assault'. Pocketing the article, Lucas leaves the house and a deeply shaken Patrick…

Masood shocks Zainab by his admission
Airs on Thursday, February 26 2009 at 19:30 GMT on BBC One

Having just spoken to Ian on the phone, Zainab reveals to Masood that Ian wants to audit the accounts for the business. Worried as to where the missing money has gone, Masood is incredulous that his wife doesn't trust him and is essentially accusing him of withdrawing the cash. Tamwar quietly creeps to the kitchen door where he listens to his parents argue about the money they 'lost' from their previous business years ago. Furious that Zainab is dragging up the past, Masood storms out. A guilt-ridden Tamwar confesses to Libby that his parents have been arguing, before revealing that he can put the situation right.

Later, Zainab reveals to a baffled Masood that the misplaced money has been returned to the account. As Masood protests his innocence, Tamwar walks in and confesses that he was the one who took it for his estranged brother, Syed. He shows them the emails from Syed requesting to borrow the money for a couple of weeks. Masood, however, is firm - they're not helping Syed. Zainab, meanwhile, is unhappy that her son never called her for the money.

When Zainab accuses Masood of being the reason that Syed left in the first place, Masood makes a shock confession - he discovered Syed stealing money from the company all those years ago. Zainab feels guilty as she always thought it was Masood who had been siphoning money from the company's accounts. Seemingly pleased that the secret is finally out, Masood reveals to Zainab that he lied to protect her. Later, despite having promised not to contact her son, Zainab locates the emails and leaves a message on Syed's voicemail.

Elsewhere, Billy walks in on Ian showing Christian his bum - complete with new devil tattoo; Chelsea still has the article about Patrick; Pat returns to find her business Pat Cars relocated to her front room, prompting a ruckus with Janine; Jane goes to a pole dancing class with Jane; Mo's ordered some pork for dinner but is shocked when she finds a pig in a kitchen; and Pat confesses to Ricky that she plans to retire.

Ian celebrates his 40th birthday
Airs on Friday, February 27 2009 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One

Jane is jolted out of her drunken slumber by Ian's voice and quickly realises what day it is - his 40th birthday. Disappointed that the kids have already left for school, Jane heads out of the house, leaving Ian alone with a small wrapped gift box on the table. At that moment, Ian realises what happened the previous night as he peels back his pyjama bottoms to reveals his new devil tattoo. While listening to his new CD, Ian spies a bag behind the settee and is shocked when he finds a 'Sexy Pole'. Grinning to himself, he puts it back where he found it.

Out on the market, Jane is frantically searching for a present for Ian when Christian bumps into her. When he mentions Ian's 'tramp stamp' to her, he rapidly realises that Jane knows nothing of Ian's inking. In the café, Ian unwraps Jane's present and is thrilled with his new leather jacket. An ecstatic Ian whispers to Jane that he found her pole, while a slightly embarrassed Jane confesses that she's no expert. Back at the house, Ian swears Jane to secrecy about the new addition to his person.

As his party gets underway, Billy mentions to Garry that he saw Ian in a compromising position with Christian earlier in the week and it's not long before the whole pub knows about Ian's devilish side. When Jane admits that she may have told Tanya about the tattoo, Ian's fuming and forbids his wife from seeing her friend. Later, as Ian attempts to make his birthday speech, the locals descend into a chant of 'tattoo! tattoo!' until Ian drops his trousers and shows everyone his devil.

Elsewhere, Peggy's furious when Janine makes a beeline for the deputy mayor at Ian's party and decides to tell the pub that she used to be a prostitute; Chelsea is reveling in Theo's attention; Patrick and Lucas continue their tug-of-war antics over Trina and the news clipping; and Tamwar gives Syed a call.
