Pushing Daisies star Swoosie Kurtz has signed on to appear in a forthcoming episode of Desperate Housewives.
According to E! News, the actress will join the ABC show as a potential love interest for one of the characters.
"[Creator] Marc Cherry is writing something really special ... for her. She's been a fan of the show for years and is so excited to get to Wisteria Lane," a representative for Kurtz told TV Guide.
Details of her storyline are being kept under wraps, but sources told E! News that she would appear in episode 17 of the current season, which is scheduled to air in March.
Last month, Kurtz confirmed that she would be guest starring in NBC's Heroes in April, playing an old society friend of Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose).
