Douvall fancies Corrie barmaid role

Alicia Douvall has said that she would love to play a "brassy barmaid" in Coronation Street.

The reality TV star and former glamour model claimed that she may surprise people with her acting skills.

"Acting is my passion. Very few people know I'm a trained actress and it's something I'm focusing on," she is quoted as saying. "I'd love to be in one of the soaps - a brassy barmaid. Corrie would be great - it's part of England isn't it? It would be great to be part of that."

Douvall is currently promoting Living's new reality show Rehab, which also features actress Victoria Sellers and X Factor and Happy Mondays singer Rowetta.

Julie Walters says she is glued to the soap and would like nothing more than to join its cast.

“It was the first thing I watched, from the age of 11,” she sighs. “I’d love to be behind the bar at the Rovers.”

Oh please give me a break doesn't the silly moo not know that being able to act is required, no wonder the soaps get a bad name by just giving anyone a role. At least Julie Walters would be a good choice even for a short role.
