Craig Revel Horwood has invited Prince Harry to compete in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The judge urged the Royal to take part in the BBC show, claiming that he has the potential to win.
"It would be brilliant [to have] a bit of royalty, I think he'd just go for it. There'd be no reserve about him," he told Now magazine.
"You know, party boy, party sound, Brazilian sambas, all of that stuff would really suit him.
"Actually, I think people would fall in love with him. You'd get a whole new generation watching."
Horwood, who has been on the judging panel for six series, also admitted that Sharon Osbourne would make a good contestant.
"She's so mouthy… she'd give the judges a run for their money."
I don't think he will be successful :nono:

Prince Harry is too high-profile a royal to go on the show...Zara Philips would have been more likley, as rumoured last year.
Didn't he say that on the New Years Eve celebration program when he was being interviewed in his Russian style hat - he also asked the newsreader presenter to come along too if I remember rightly
BBC bosses have reportedly asked Alesha Dixon to stand in for Tess Daly on the forthcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Daly and her TV presenter husband Vernon Kay are expecting their second child in June and the corporation wants the singer to co-present in her absence alongside Bruce Forsyth.
According to the Sunday Mirror, show chiefs also hope the former show winner will help claw back teenage viewers after their defection to ITV's The X Factor following the recruitment of Cheryl Cole.
A source said Dixon was seen as part of the Strictly family, adding: "Bosses hope that she will help give the show a bit of a shake-up alongside Bruce Forsyth.
"They have been keen for her to have a role on the show for some time but so far have struggled to find an opportunity to bring her in. But Tess's pregnancy is the perfect opening."

Are they saying that Tess is the cause of all the teenage viewers jumping ship ?? I do not think so , I personally think it is Bruce Frosthye that is causing people not to watch, he can be pretty embarassing, granted Tess is preggo and needs some one to replace her, they should just replace BOTH of them,, get Anton and Aliesha to host the show, that would be super....that is my 2 euro cents worth:searchme:

What about Claudia and Anton. Bruce should retire gracefully and Anton would be the perfect replacement and Claudia already has experience of hosting the show midweek.

nah, Claudia is better in the midweek show where she gets more of a chance to chat and give crazy opinions. that would be distracting on the main show and its great for someone who is a mad veiwer like the rest of us host ITT.

Hasn't louisa thrown her hat in the ring as Tess's replacement she is looking for a job.
EASTENDERS babe Kara Tointon is set to star in Strictly Come Dancing for a SECOND time, TV Biz can reveal.
The brunette, 25, is a massive fan of the BBC1 ballroom hit but had been banned from taking part for the past three years.
Soap boss Diedrick Santer stopped cast members signing up for the show as it caused chaos in the filming schedules, although Kara did a charity special last year and won.
Now she is free to shimmy and shake her way on to the next series after being given the push from the BBC1 soap, alongside her on-screen love Ricky Groves, who plays Garry Hobbs.
The decision to drop Kara — who plays Dawn Swann — from August means she can finally fulfil her dream.
A Strictly insider confirmed yesterday the show was in talks to sign her up for the new series in September.
The source added: “Kara has made it no secret that she has wanted to do Strictly for years. Hopefully we can make it happen.
“She’s exactly the kind of contestant that we want on the show.”
TV Biz told yesterday how Strictly chiefs want to “sex up” the show to score a younger audience and compete with The X Factor.
They will hire younger professional dancers as well as hotter celebs.
Kara — who is dating ex-EastEnder and I’m A Celeb winner Joe Swash — won last year’s Strictly special for Sports Relief with a sizzling samba.
Her partner was ex-England cricketer Mark Ramprakash.
Chat show hosts Richard and Judy are set to waltz into Strictly Come Dancing.
The couple - whose daytime show on satellite channel Watch was axed last week because of poor ratings - are near to signing for the new series of the Saturday night hit.
A source said: " Richard and Judy have always fans and they're about the offer to Richard Madeley, and Judy Finnegan, will be in good company. Former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne, 56, and EastEnder Kara Tointon, 25, will be contestants.
And producers are pulling out all the stops to get Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland, 28, to appear. A new line-up of judges is also being considered.
Producers had planned to poach X Factor's artistic director Brian Friedman to replace Arlene Phillips, the only woman.
But our source said: "They realised Strictly wouldn't be the same without her."

It's still too early to release the celeb list. They normally start rehersals around September so it will probably be August before we know who is going to be on this year.
FORMER England footballer Teddy Sheringham looks set to finally sign up for Strictly Come Dancing — after sitting it out last year.
The 43-year-old striker is in talks with show chiefs to appear on the seventh series of the BBC1 ballroom hit this autumn.
He nearly donned his dancing shoes for the last series, but pulled out just before signing up.
Sources on the show say Sheringham is now close to scoring a deal and will start training in August.
An insider said: “We’ve been keen on Teddy for some time and really hope we get him on board this year.” Former Man Utd and Spurs star Sheringham, who was awarded an MBE in 2007, retired from football at the end of last season.
If he does join Strictly he’ll have picked an explosive series — as Sharon Osbourne is also hoping to head on to the dancefloor. Shazza, 56, is almost certainly going to sign up and go head-to-head with her old show, ITV1 rival The X Factor.
We told how Sharon nearly signed up just weeks after quitting the talent hit following a bitter fall-out with fellow judge Dannii Minogue.
But she said recently: “I was asked to do it last year but I turned it down. I thought it would be disrespectful to Simon Cowell as it is The X Factor’s opposition. But this year I’m seriously thinking about doing it. I’m so close.”
EastEnders beauty Kara Tointon, 25, is also a favourite to appear on the show. Kara, who plays Dawn Swann, leaves the BBC1 soap this summer.
She won the Sports Relief Strictly show in March 2008 and is such a huge fan that she was in the audience most weeks. Now she can put on her dancing shoes and join in the fun.

Man United striker Carlos Tevez has revealed that he would like to take part in Strictly Come Dancing.
The Argentinian footballer claimed that his tango skills would raise the standard of dancing seen so far on the BBC One reality series.
Speaking to The Sun, Tevez explained: "I could bring something to the show they've never seen before - real, authentic dancing from Argentina."
He added: "I can't see the gaffer giving me time off. I think I'll have to wait until I retire."
The tango originated in Argentina in the nineteenth century before its popularity spread worldwide.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One in the autumn and will once again be presented by Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly.

Is he planning on re-inventing himself or something?
STRICTLY Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips has been given the boot, The Sun can reveal.
The 66-year-old choreographer was officially told to Foxtrot Oscar by BBC bosses last night following top-level talks.
And former show winner Alesha Dixon, 30, is being lined up in her place to inject some youthful glamour into the ageing panel.
Producers want a “sexier” feel to compete with ITV’s The X Factor — a hit with youngsters.
By contrast, the youngest Strictly judge, Craig Revel Horwood, is 44 — while Bruno Tonioli is 53, Len Goodman is 65 and host Bruce Forsyth is 81.
Bosses also hope signing Alesha will appeal to ethnic viewers, who love X Factor.
Arlene has been with the show since it launched in 2004 — but came under fire last year for criticising TV newsman John Sergeant. A show source said last night: “It’s nothing personal against Arlene — she’s been brilliant.
“But the bosses want to bring in younger viewers — the 16 to 34-year-olds that X Factor mops up.”
The source added former Mis-Teeq singer Alesha is seen as the “perfect replacement”.
She won a huge fanbase after winning the 2007 series, beating former Eastender Matt Di Angelo, 22.
Brucie was so impressed he dubbed her the “British Beyonce”.
The source went on: “Nothing has been signed, but bosses really want Alesha as she has everything they’re looking for.
“She also knows a thing or two about dancing. Strictly can feel a bit old fashioned.”
The overhaul was partly sparked by the success of the US version, Dancing With The Stars, which grabs 20 million viewers.
BBC1 producers plan to bring over more American dancers and sign up some top celebs.
And they want raunchier routines like those of Rachel Stevens and partner Vincent Simone last time round.
The new series, starting in autumn, is expected to once again go head to head with X Factor on some Saturday and Sunday nights.

Acid-tongued judge Arlene Phillips has reportedly been sacked from Strictly Come Dancing.
She will be replaced on the panel by former winner Alesha Dixon when the show returns later this year, reports The Sun.
The choreographer has been with the show since it launched back in 2004, however, it's believed she has been given the boot in a bid to attract a younger audience to the series.
A Strictly insider told the paper: "It's nothing personal against Arlene - she's been brilliant. But the bosses want to bring in younger viewers - the 16 to 34-year-olds that X Factor mops up."
Although Alesha is yet to sign up for the series, the show's producers believe she is the perfect replacement for Arlene and will boost ratings in the same way that Cheryl Cole did for their ITV rivals.
The news comes just days after The X Factor revealed that it is revamping the new series by holding the auditions in front of a live audience and moving the results show to a Sunday night.
The changes put even more pressure on Strictly to attract younger viewers - particularly when the two shows go head to head.
A BBC spokesman said: "We can't confirm anything about the new series of Strictly yet, but we are always looking at ways to maximise viewers' enjoyment of our shows."
 thats a shocker

I would prefer if they got a trained dancer like Darcy Bushell to take Arlene's place.
STRICTLY Come Dancing star Alesha Dixon could sign a deal to replace judge Arlene Phillips “within days”, show sources said yesterday.
The Sun told yesterday how BBC chiefs dumped 66-year-old Arlene and are lining up former winner Alesha to inject some youthful glamour to the panel.
Last night former Mis-teeq singer Alesha, 30, admitted she was still attracted to the show, which made her a household name.
She said: “I think once you are a part of Strictly Come Dancing you are part of the family and I do feel like that with the show.
"I have a love for it and I wouldn’t be here now talking to you because they have actually helped carve out the next chapter of my career."
Her agent is currently holding talks with BBC bosses about whether she will take over from Arelene.
But Beeb sources said they were “hopeful” a deal could be signed “within days”.
One said: “We’d love Alesha to do it.”
Meanwhile, Arlene has revealed she has a number of new shows lined up after getting the push.
A pal said: “She’s fine about it all. She understands the BBC’s decision and has got lots of other stuff lined up. She won’t be twiddling her thumbs.”

Now Darcy is someone who I would take seriously!
Tess Daly has signed a new two-year deal to co-host Strictly Come Dancing, say reports.
According to The Mirror, for which Daly writes a regular column, the mother-of-two will present the show until at least 2010.
"She has signed a six-figure deal for two years," said a source.
Yesterday, tabloid reports claimed that judge Arlene Phillips has been axed from the BBC One reality show. 2007 Strictly champion Alesha Dixon is rumoured to be replacing her on the panel.
Dixon has not denied the rumours, but has scheduled tour dates when the new series will be on air. The BBC said that it could not confirm who would be returning to the show, but admitted that it was "always looking" at ways to "maximise viewers' enjoyment".
Choreographer Phillips is not upset about departing the programme and "understands the BBC's decision", according to The Sun.
"She has got lots of other stuff lined up," said a source. "She won’t be twiddling her thumbs."

Is it definite that Arlene is going to be replaced or is it all rumors?
IF it is true that Arlene is leaving and IF it is true that Alesha is coming on board, I WON'T be watching anymore.
I'm sorry but I can't stand her and watching her gush, week in week out, and that blimming laugh of hers (no offence to her, sorry etc) but I wouldn't be able to watch. My eldest son said the same and a couple of others I've spoken to aswell. We already have Bruno as the flamboyant one - we don't need Alesha. At least Arlene has true choreography experience and tbh, her and Craig, whilst sometimes harsh, are the only honest judges on the panel!!
According to DS, she's scheduled to be promoting The Alesha Show during October and November anyway, which if true, would make it impossible for her to do SCD.

I was dead surprised to read about Arlene being replaced on Strictly Come Dancing. I couldn’t see the need for the show to have such a dramatic change. The panel of judges with Len, Craig and Bruno worked very well for the past few years and I have always loved Arlene’s opinion as she is someone that knows her craft very well.
If this rumour is true - I hope that it isn’t - I will not be watching the new show. The only way it will work for me is if they replaced Arlene with someone like Karen Hardy. Someone who will know what their talking about then for someone who has just learnt to ballroom dance in a crash course over 10 weeks :(
Is there any need for Arlene to be replaced?
I hope that these stories are just rumours and I look forward to reading a statement from the BBC and Arlene quashing these rumours. Alesha seems like a nice girl but she needs to stop living off her win from Strictly Come Dancing. This happened 2 years ago, in my eyes it’s time to move on, she needs to try to have a career away from this as it’s coming across like she can’t do anything except gloat about her win from Strictly.

I don't see how the beeb replacing Arlene with Alesha will make the show more popular, last year it won a TV award at the NTA beating the X-factor and other reality shows, which proves viewers are happy with the format and judges.
Alesha gets on my t*ts as she did everyweek when she was a contestant on SCD but if she was to be an assest to the show then I would tolerate her but I just get the impression she is just desparate to be on every tv she show for her own benefit and not to boost viewing figures.

i think that if Arlene has gone its not automatic that she'll be replaced with Alesha, the press just make stuff up. remember how they said she'd be replacing Tess on maternity leave and Tess has already had her baby!
Karen would rock as a judge. and whilst Arlene has served the show well i do think that if any one judge had to go it was her- her comments were TERRIBLE last series! she just seems more keen on giving a topical reference or saying something with aliteration rather than real advice.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman has revealed that he is recovering from an operation to remove a cancerous tumour from his prostate gland.
The 65-year-old, who was diagnosed with the disease in March, told the Mail On Sunday that he had decided to delay the surgery until he had finished filming the US version of Strictly.
"I could have said 'sorry' and not done the show, but the doctors felt I wasn’t riddled with it and it wasn’t so far advanced that it was a life-or-death scenario," he said.
"I have had the surgery now. Everything is gorgeously good. I will be back in September for sure... You're a bit sore for a while and you can't play golf, which is the biggest blow at the moment. But I will be able to in a month's time or so, I can't wait."
Goodman went on to say that he had kept the diagnosis secret from his BBC colleagues, explaining: "People generally think 'bloody hell'. With all the hoo-ha about Strictly coming up, I thought, 'Just my luck, they won’t want that old fart on it, the cancer-riddled, bed-ridden old so-and–so'."
He added that "men, probably more than women, tend to ignore their health" and that it is important to get checked up every year so that "they can catch it early and you have a good chance".
Hope he recovers soon
STRICTLY Come Dancing champion Camilla Dallerup is to wed her ex-Hollyoaks star boyfriend Kevin Sacre.
The pair got engaged two weeks ago on a weekend in Capri, Italy.
The ballroom professional is now busy planning the dream wedding she missed when she was ditched by fiance Brendan Cole in 2004.
Fellow Strictly star Brendan dropped her after falling for partner Natasha Kaplinsky on the BBC1 hit.
Danish-born Camilla, 35, was overjoyed when Kevin proposed - despite the actor making a hash of the big moment on a rocky shore.
Kev, 31, who played Jake in the C4 soap, admitted: "I fumbled around for the ring.
"I tried to say something profound about there being beautiful rocks and here's another - luckily she didn't hear that."
Camilla, who won Strictly last year partnering Holby City's Tom Chambers, laughed: "It was quite possibly one of the worst proposals - but for us it was perfect."
They will wed next July. Camilla told Hello! magazine: "I'd like a beach wedding. We go to so many elegant parties so I want to be more relaxed."
Congratulations to them :cheer:

Alesha Dixon and Darcey Bussell have been confirmed as judges for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
BBC One controller Jay Hunt revealed the appointments this morning, following a month of speculation surrounding the show's replacement for 66-year-old Arlene Phillips.
Dixon, who won the competition in 2007, is a full-time panel member, while Bussell will appear as a guest judge at the end of the series. The professional dancer will also have a role on this year's spinoff show It Takes Two, it has been confirmed.
"As a former Strictly champion, Alesha knows exactly what it takes to win," said Hunt. "Her eye for great performance and her charisma and charm make Alesha a great addition to the judging panel.
"Darcey has impeccable credentials as a dancer and, as a guest judge, she will bring an exciting new dimension to the last few weeks of the Strictly competition."
Speaking about her return to the show, Dixon said: "I'm honoured and excited to be joining the judging panel. I've always felt like part of the Strictly family and really believe in the show."
Bussell added: "It is a real pleasure to have been invited to join Strictly Come Dancing. It is a fantastic show and I'm looking forward to getting to know the dancers and being part of the excitement."
Strictly Come Dancing will air on BBC One in the autumn.

Former Strictly judge Arlene Phillips has signed up as a presenter on The One Show.
Phillips, 66, will team up with regular hosts Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley as the show's Strictly Come Dancing expert. Strictly will run for 14 weeks during the autumn.
Earlier today, it was confirmed that Phillips is leaving the reality series. Alesha Dixon and Darcey Bussell have replaced her on the panel.
"Arlene played a vital role in making Strictly a hit and I would like to thank her for all her work on the show," said BBC One controller Jay Hunt.
"I am delighted she is now forging a new relationship with BBC One by joining the highly-successful One Show team."
Speaking about her move, Phillips said: "I am delighted to be part of The One Show. I will miss Strictly. It has been a big part of my life for six years."
One Show presenters Bleakley and Dom Littlewood have appeared as contestants on Strictly in previous years.

From Wiki:
Phillips is internationally renowned as a choreographer and director of West End and Broadway musicals, but has many other professional credits.
In her mid-teens, Phillips moved to London where she has lived ever since. Strongly influenced by American Modern Jazz dance which was just becoming popular in London at that time, she began developing her own style of Jazz dance and began teaching her style of dance extensively in a number of prominent London dance studios, including Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden. She quickly established herself as a successful teacher and choreographer.
Internationally, Phillips is most noted as a jazz and musical theatre choreographer, having worked on some of the biggest selling musicals in West End and Broadway theatre and a number of successful films. Most notably, Phillips is a multiple Olivier Award winner and Tony Award award nominee.
For the past five years, she has been a judge on the BBC1 show, "Strictly Come Dancing" and is commenting on the acts in Eurovision: Your Country Needs You for the BBC in 2009. In 2008, she created, produced and choreographed a new British television serial called "Britannia High".

I don't mind Darcy as the new judge I'd rather have her one everyweek that flaming Aleshia she really gets on my nevers.
Well ( inserty hmph smiley here* i dont want a real world judge!! i want a judge I can see knows what she talks about, not someone to sit there looking pretty......we have bruno for that
As much as arlene got on my nerves as least she knew what she was talking about
Exactly! What has Aleesha done?? OK so she sings (irritatingly as far as I'm concerned) and she.....er.....she.....oh she won SCD year before last WOOP!!
Sorry, but give me a proper flaming judge, who has enough qualifications to judge, not blimming her!

Bet she gets the sack within the first month for being totally clueless, yeah she won SCD two years ago but that doesn't qualify her to be a judge. It takes years to learn all the steps for the dances and how they should be performed.
According to Wiki, she is a trained street dancer so not totally clueless.

OMG it happened my worse nightmare - Alesha being a judge!
I will have to see the first show to see if she can be a polished presenter instead of laughing all the time and sounding like a foghorn!
Give the girl a chance, you might all be pleasantly surprised. :)
Sorry Perdy, but she did my head in during the SCD series when she won, and when she was singing and then chatting at the New Years Eve celebrations 08/09, she irritated the heck out of me.
Hubby even said she'll start doing all of the singing during the intervals too now she's going to be a regular. I know there are some out there who like her, but unfortunately, I don't.
Fair enough, I didn't watch the series so can't really comment. I have just seen a few interviews with her and she came across quite nice. Obviously she could be totally different on the judging panel. At first I thought you were talking about Arlene Phillips spoiling your favourite unmissable programme :D :o
lol I love Arlene. I think at least she has some expertise in the field to be able to make some of the comments she does, although sometimes I find her a bit OTT on the nastiness.
Fiona Phillips has criticised the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing revamp, claiming that Alesha Dixon is not qualified to be a judge.
The former GMTV host, who took part in the show's 2005 series, admitted that she felt disappointed when the plans for this year's run were confirmed this week.
On Thursday, BBC bosses announced that choreographer Arlene Phillips had been axed from the programme in favour of former Strictly champion Dixon and professional dancer Darcey Bussell.
Writing in her column for The Mirror, the TV presenter asked: "Since when was Alesha Dixon a choreographer? And who, outside the chattering class pastures of the broadsheets and the Royal Ballet, cares about Darcey Bussell?"
She continued: "Arlene Phillips, on the other hand, was an essential part of the winning Strictly Come Dancing formula - her caustic comments cutting through the ice of a wintry Saturday night, willing you to throw your takeaway at the TV screen as she lay into a well-meant but hopeless celebrity dancer."
Fiona added that the former panel member is "a decent person" and acted like "a caring mother figure" once the cameras stopped rolling for the BBC One show.
Strictly Come Dancing returns in the autumn.

I never thought I would ever feel this way but Fiona is right!
SOAP star Reece Dinsdale is in talks to star in Strictly Come Dancing.
Reece, 49, has quit as Coronation Street prescription drugs addict Joe McIntyre despite being offered a massive pay rise to stay, because he feared being typecast.
A source told TV Biz: "Reece has loved Corrie but he wants to move on - and he reckons Strictly is the perfect move."
Actors have done well in the past. Holby City hunk Tom Chambers won last year and ex-EastEnder Jill Halfpenny took the crown in 2004.
The source added: "Reece wouldn't do just any reality show. Strictly is really respected."

Yeah but look at Britains got talent they signed up Kelly Brooke and they decided it was the wrong decision. If Aleesha has signed a contract she won't be getting paid half of what Arlene was and they could offer her a pay off as compensation. It would be better to do that then risks loosing viewers.

I am hoping that the beeb listen to the licence payers for a change. I don't see why they are getting rid of Arlene her comments to the contestants were no worse than Craig SCD wouldn't have been voted best reality show at last years NTA awards if the viewers didn't like the format or judges on the show. If the beeb want a change of judge then fine replace Arlene with someone who knows what they are talking about. A member of the public who has watched every series of SCD will know more about the dances and steps than Alesha does. What they are doing is sexism and discrimination why don't they replace Len or Bruno with a hot young male with fresh air between his ears because that is what they are doing to Arlene.

I am now looking forward to the show to see if Alesha will be good or not? As I have not read any comments from her recently have the BBC sent her off for classes on how to be a good presenter or something?
Twiggy has ruled out ever appearing on SCD, she has been asked every year since 2004 but feels sick just at the thought of it. She has recently renewed her contract with M&S and so has Myleene Klass.
SOAP star Natalie Cassidy is bidding to appear on Strictly Come Dance-slim - as she aims to use the show to help her lose the pounds.
The actress, 26, is following in the quicksteps of fellow former EastEnders Phil Daniels, Jill Halfpenny and Jessie Wallace by appearing on the BBC1 hit.

Strictly Come Dancing was in turmoil last night as some of the show’s top stars quit.
Sharon Osbourne walked out after her salary was slashed and Richard Madeley was another who left.

The BBC has dismissed allegations that Sharon Osbourne and Richard Madeley have quit this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
Earlier today, tabloid reports suggested that the pair pulled out of the BBC One reality show because of pay cuts.
However, the broadcaster dismissed the claims, insisting that there is "no truth to the rumours".

BBC bosses are reportedly signing up La Toya Jackson for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The sister of the late Michael Jackson is said to be close to agreeing a deal to take part when the show returns next month.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "La Toya would be a great name to have on the show. If she chats about Michael live on TV, or dedicates an emotional performance to him, it will make for fantastic viewing."
If she does take part it in the show, it will be La Toya's second UK TV outing this year following her stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house in January.
Another reality TV veteran, Phil Tufnell, is also being tipped to take part in the latest series. Cricket legend Phil, who triumphed in I'm A Celebrity in 2003 is expected to join fellow sportsman Linford Christie when the official line-up is revealed.
Other big names who have been linked to the show include ex-This Morning presenter Fern Britton and EastEnders' star Ricky Groves, who is leaving the soap this week.
Ann Widdecombe has also revealed she is considering an offer to appear on the contest, however, it's believed she would not take part until the 2010 series.

this was posted in yesterdays news of the world, not sure how true it is. :
STARS of this year's Strictly Come Dancing will each be paid the same sum - £50,000.
BBC bosses want to avoid the jealous bickering that broke out last year over pay packets.
An insider said: "We're going head-to-head with X Factor. Bosses don't want any hiccups."
Set for this year's show are tennis legend Martina Hingis, 28, Oxo actress Linda Bellingham, 61, The Bill's Ali Bastian, 26, athlete Jade Johnson, 29, Hollyoaks' Ricky Whittle, 37, Crimewatch's Rav Wilding, 31, and BBC Breakfast's Chris Hollins, 47.
Pairings will include Brendan Cole with Ronnie Wood's estranged wife Jo, 54. Footballers' Wives star Zoe Lucker, 35, dances with James Jordan, while ex-EastEnder Natalie Cassidy, 26, partners Vincent Simone. Actress Laila Rouass, 34, is with Anton du Beke, Kristina Rihanoff with boxer Joe Calzaghe, 37, and EastEnder Ricky Groves, 38, with Erin Boag.
Ooo I like
You can always count on ex EE'ers to be on there

Former boxing champion Joe Calzaghe is the latest star set to show off his fancy footwork on the latest series of U.K. talent contest Strictly Come Dancing.
The undefeated Welsh fighter announced his retirement earlier this year and his father/trainer Enzo Calzaghe has confirmed his son will now step into the spotlight for the BBC series.
He tells Britain's Western Mail newspaper, "Of course I know about it."
Calzaghe's uncle Uccio has also commented on the reports, adding, "I think he'll do very well. Like anything Joe has tackled in his life he has always wanted to be the best and come out best. He will put his heart into it 100 per cent."
Other celebrities who have reportedly signed up for the show include La Toya Jackson and Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood's estranged wife Jo.
Axed Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips has been offered a new role on the show, a report claims.
According to The Sun, the programme's bosses have asked Phillips to work as a choreographer on the new series. The job would see her appearing on screen in edited footage showing her creating the group dances.
A BBC source explained: "Arlene may not be a judge anymore but we still want her on board as her expertise is unparalleled.
"We've offered her a role doing what she does best, which is choreography. As viewers know, the group dances are highly technical so it's not an easy thing to do."
Phillips was axed from the ballroom competition last month after producers decided to recruit former winner Alesha Dixon for the panel. The BBC's decision proved to be controversial, with more than 1,000 viewers contacting the corporation to complain.
The long-standing judge has already signed up to be a Strictly expert on The One Show this year.
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/strictlycomedancing/a173641/arlene-phillips-lands-new-strictly-job.html
The wait is over! The BBC today confirmed the line-up for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
To be honest, there aren't a lot of surprises as most of the names had already been linked to the series over the past few months. In fact, the only big surprises were that Fern Britton and La Toya Jackson are not taking part, despite speculation that they would be competing. So, who is taking part then?
From soapland we have former EastEnders' actress Natalie Cassidy, who will be dancing with Vincent Simone and fellow EastEnder Ricky Groves, whose partner is Erin Boag. Coronation Street is represented by Craig Kelly (dancing with Flavia Cacace) and Hollyoaks' Ricky Whittle will be taking part alongside professional dancer Natalie Lowe.
Footballers' Wives' actresses Zoe Lucker (dancing with James Jordan) and Laila Rouass (dancing with Anton Du Beke) will be reunited on the show, and the showbiz line-up is completed by actress and presenter Lynda Bellingham (dancing with Darren Bennett) and The Bill's Ali Bastian.
The sporting world is represented by former women's world number one tennis player Martina Hingis, who is dancing with Matthew Cutler, and Olympic athlete Jade Johnston, who is dancing with Ian Waite. They are joined by horse racing legend Richard Dunwoody (dancing with Lilia Kopylova) and boxing world champion Joe Calzaghe (dancing with Kristina Rihanoff). I'm A Celebrity winner and former cricketer Phil Tufnell, who is dancing with Katya Virshilas, completes the sporting line-up.
BBC presenters Chris Hollins (dancing with Ola Jordan) and Rav Wilding (dancing with Aliona Vilani) will also take part, alongside model and businesswoman Jo Wood, who is dancing with Brendan Cole.
In a big departure, this year's series will kick off on a Friday night and there will be editions on both Friday and Saturday for the first two weeks. There have also been changes to the voting system and how points are awarded in the event of a tie in judges' scores. This means - and we quote - 'should there be a tie any one couple can be saved from the dance off, and no one couple is safe'. Hopefully you understand that bit.
The show's presenter Bruce Forsyth took the opportunity at the press launch to hit back at claims that The X Factor had beaten Strictly last year in the ratings. The veteran entertainer handed out copies of the ratings data to back up his claim.

I'm so happy SCD is back I have missed it big time. Don't know who to choose as my favourite as they were all fab. Ali danced beautifully, Linda and Rav entertaining, I've even a soft spot for Ricky only because he is dancing with the brilliant Erin. I think Rav may go first tomorrow as his professional partner is a new dancer on the show unlike Darren and Erin who have been on the show since series 1 and are loved by the public as much as the celebirty dancers.

Last nights dancers weren't bad but when they had the group dance with the next lot of dancers I realised that I can't to see them dance as they have some bad movers in there! They didn't look very organised or put together very well Zoe looked well but the rest looked in need of help!
Now Aleshia being a judge I don't know what to say she just seems to say and repeat what the 'experts' say and her laugh thank god they didn't have her speaking for too long.
So glad to see Bruno back and Craig back on top form with his honest dry comments- can't wait for tonight.

It's not been the best of starts for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing. Not only was the show beaten by The X Factor by a massive two million viewers in Saturday night's ratings, but thousands of fans have also been voicing their criticism over new judge Alesha Dixon.
Today, even former judge Arlene Phillips, who was controversially replaced by Alesha earlier this year, has admitted that the show has lost some of its sparkle. Are things really that bad?
Let's be honest, Alesha was never going to get an easy ride from viewers and, like anyone starting a new job, it is naturally going to take her several weeks to settle in and hit her stride.
Most of the criticism aimed at the former winner has suggested that she is not experienced enough to mark the professional dancers and their celebrity partners on their dancing technique. However, she has vowed not to quit and hit back, saying she is offering a different perspective to the other judges.
She told the Daily Mirror: "My job is not to replace Arlene. My job is to provide a perspective that was maybe missing before and that is the understanding of the performance aspects and of just how tough it is to perform to the standards the viewers expect. Having been through the Strictly experience I can relate to what they are going through."
Meanwhile, the decision to ditch the separate results show has come under fire from Arlene who says the new format 'dragged on a bit'.
She told The Sun: "Viewers like to be able to get up, make a cup of tea, then come back and settle in for the results. It heightens the level of excitement. There was much more drama when there were two shows."
She went on to rule out a return to the panel, claiming that the BBC would never ask her back and added: "They hired Alesha because they wanted a different opinion - a voice of the viewer - and that's what she does. She was never hired to give a technical viewpoint.
"It is very hard for her - she must be incredibly nervous. The judges had all worked together for six series and she is new and on her own."
Alesha Dixon has vowed to ignore calls for her to quit Strictly Come Dancing following her controversial debut as a judge.
The 30-year-old popstar was branded a poor replacement for Arlene Phillips after she made her first appearance on the programme at the weekend.
However, speaking to The Mirror, Dixon insisted: "Obviously Arlene was a big part of the show for a long time. But my job is not to replace Arlene.
"My job is to provide a perspective that was maybe missing before and that is the understanding of the performance aspects and of just how tough it is to perform to the standards the viewers expect. Having been through the Strictly experience I can relate to what they are going through."
Dixon signed up for the panel in July following the decision to axe Phillips after six series. However, some fans have claimed that she should now stand down and be replaced by the choreographer.
Responding to the demands, the singer said: "I am not a quitter. It's not in my nature to consider quitting. We are just starting on a long road and I know I can help make the path smoother for some of the celebs."
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Friday at 8.30pm on BBC One.

Hollyoaks star Ricky Whittle has taken over as the bookies' favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing.
The 27-year-old actor, who plays Calvin Valentine on the Channel 4 soap, has new odds of 2/1 with Paddy Power following strong backing from punters.
Whittle and his professional dance partner Natalie Lowe have not yet given an individual performance in the contest. However, viewers saw the pair taking part in a group dance on Friday night.
Boxer Joe Calzaghe was the bookies' favourite before the new series launched at the weekend. However, he has now become an outsider with odds of 25/1.
Show judge Craig Revel Horwood branded Calzaghe "passionless" when he made his dancing debut on Friday. Meanwhile, head panellist Len Goodman described his tango as "a dance only a mother could love".
Former Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian is second favourite with odds of 9/4, followed by Jade Johnson (8/1), Chris Hollins (9/1) and Laila Rouass (12/1).

I seen some of Friday's show. Ali was fantastic. I did prefer Arlene on the panel though as she talked more about the technical stuff and her comments were a bit more constructive. Anyone who didn't know anything about dancing could have said what Alesha said "you're looking nice tonight" "I can tell your nervous"... having said that though, I find some of the comments surrounding her a bit melodramatic. They were talking about it on the radio and someone said they muted everything that Alesha said  I just think she needs to improve on her comments.

Do think Alesha will come back next year to be on the panel? Or will she leave after this year do you think?
There were a lot of bun fights when Cheryl Cole first took over from Sharon Osbourne on the X Factor, a lot of people did not like her at first, now she is back for the second year after mentoring the winner and people seem to like her now. The same might happen to Alesha. :)
BBC bosses were risking another backlash from viewers last night - after making Strictly Come Dancing more than TWO HOURS long.
The Beeb has already come under fire after moving the show's start time to clash directly with ITV1's big hit The X Factor on Saturday nights.
Strictly - hosted by Bruce Forsyth - will run from 7pm to 9.15pm to feature dances by 14 couples in its third-round show. The X Factor starts at 8pm and finishes at the same time.
The marathon Strictly show on October 3 is one of at least two 2¼-hour editions planned.
And a spokesman said last night: "Strictly's start time will vary slightly according to the length of the show - which changes from week to week."
Producers have already been criticised for replacing judge Arlene Phillips, 66, with former show winner Alesha Dixon, 30.
And the latest move will anger licence-fee payers - who blasted Beeb bosses after the clash was first revealed.
One fan said: "The BBC needs to stop being so petty."
The X Factor boss Simon Cowell - writing in The Sun last Saturday - also urged the BBC to resolve the row.
But last night programming chief Jana Bennett insisted the channel will NOT budge.
She said it had to have "the best line-up on a Saturday", which meant "keeping Strictly at the heart of the schedule". Her words came despite BBC Trust chairman Sir Michael Lyons telling the channel not to fight ITV for viewers but focus "on the quality of programmes".
He also pointed out that last Saturday's The X Factor had two million more viewers than Strictly. He said: "Viewers were asked to make a choice. It did not go in favour of the BBC."
But he is unlikely to meddle with the scheduling. A spokeswoman said: "Scheduling individual programmes is a matter for the executive not the trust."
BBC insiders last night insisted The X Factor should change its slot. They said shows such as the National Lottery and Match of the Day made it impossible to move Strictly.

Strictly Come Dancing is at the centre of a race row after it was claimed actress Laila Rouass was called a "Paki" by her professional partner.
Anton Du Beke used the insult a fortnight ago after the former Footballers' Wives star had a spray tan, the News of the World has claimed.
He has now admitted the term was used "in jest", but denied he was a racist and apologised for "any offence".
Du Beke said: "I must say immediately and categorically that I am not a racist and that I do not use racist language.
"During the course of rehearsals Laila and I have exchanged a great deal of banter entirely in jest, and two weeks ago there was an occasion when this term was used between the two of us.
"There was no racist intent whatsoever but I accept that it is a term which causes offence and I regret my use of it, which was done without thought or consideration of how others would react. I apologise unreservedly for any offence my actions might have caused."
Rouass, who has an Indian mother and Moroccan father, has since accepted Du Beke's apology.
She said: "It was a situation which happened that we have moved on from and I accept his apology. I'm really enjoying the show and dancing with Anton and hope we can go as far as possible in the competition."
A spokesman for the BBC said: "The BBC does not condone offensive language in the workplace."
Details of the incident, which saw Rouass walk away from the situation, were revealed as Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding became the third celebrity to be voted off the show.
im wtching it on BBC Iplayer now, its great means i can skip all the boring parts, i really dont like Calzaghe! He has got to go soon, but looks like he is popular.
I like Chris Hollins, i think he is so sweet.

Joe is going to cause an upset just like John Sergent and Kate Garraway did. THe worst dancers are Joe, Chris Kelly and Jo Wood bless her I love Brendan as well but Jo is no Kelly Brooke or Lisa Snowdon but she has shown some improvemecent unlike Chris and Joe. However Joe has a massive fan base and bI feel that Jade Johnstone or Zoe Lucker may fall before he does, which would be bang out of order. In the early series of SCD I did not warm to Ian Waite and James Jordan but over the last couple of years. It would not be fair if they're celebrity partners went out of the competition before Joe and Chris but I think they will.
The BBC has denied that there were any problems with the Strictly Come Dancing phone lines on Saturday's live show.
Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding became the third celebrity to exit the reality series after losing out in the dance-off to veteran actress Lynda Bellingham.
However, fans of Wilding have claimed that they were unable to vote for their favoured celebrity due to jammed phone lines.
"Sorry for so many of you who say you tried to vote and couldn't get through," wrote Wilding on Twitter. "Maybe you would have saved me."
A BBC spokesperson commented: "The phone lines are carefully monitored on the night and independently verified. There no reported problems with lines for any of the contestants."
Wilding and his professional partner Aliona Vilani were voted in the bottom two for the second time in the series after scoring only 21 points. Judge Craig Revel Horwood described Wilding as dancing like an "orangutan".

Strictly Come Dancing's Anton Du Beke and Laila Rouass have revealed that they are developing a ballroom dancing movie.
The duo, who scored 30 points for their Quick-step on Saturday's live show, joked that they would play the romantic leads in the film project.
"We have decided to write a script for a ballroom dance-off, where these kids - the Brick Lane massive and the Peckham massive - they are going to have a ballroom dance-off," Rouass told DS.
"Anton will play the lead and he'll teach them the rules of the ballroom. It's going to be a number one hit! It will be wicked."
"What role are you going to be?" asked Du Beke. The Footballers' Wives star replied: "I will be another teacher. I will be the love interest!"

That is interesting because I heard on the radio today that Du Beke is supposed to get the sack from SCD because he called Laila Rouass a p**i
Chloe O'brien

I hope they don't sack Anton as SCD wouldn't be the same without him. I don't think he say it maliciously his mouth went into gear before his brain did, and if Laila has forgiven him and they have moved on then that should be the end of it.
AMY Winehouse has confirmed she will appear on Strictly Come Dancing.
The troubled Rehab star will be a backing singer for her god-daughter Dionne Bromfield, 13, on next Saturday's show.
Dionne, who will make her TV debut on Strictly to belt out new track Mama Said, declared: "Amy and I both love Strictly.
"I watch it every Saturday, so it was brilliant to find out I'll be on TV for the first time singing on one of my favourite shows."
The Beeb's Mark Linsey said: "It will be extra special for viewers to see Dionne perform alongside Amy Winehouse."

The BBC will not take any action against Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke over his racist remark, according to a report.
Professional dancer Du Beke recently made a public apology for describing his celebrity partner Laila Rouass as a "P**i" in training.
Anti-racism groups have since called for Du Beke to be dropped from the programme. Dozens of fans have also complained about the incident, which was not broadcast.
However, a BBC insider told The Mirror: "It's done and dusted now, and a line has been drawn under the whole matter. Laila has forgiven Anton and that's what really matters.
"He is utterly mortified and realises it was a totally unacceptable thing to say. But it has been put down to silly banter that went too far. Anton has offered a full apology and they are both happy to leave it at that."
Rouass has stated that she accepts Du Beke's apology and wants to concentrate on progressing further in the BBC One contest.

Lynda Bellingham has become the fourth contestant to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.
The television presenter and her professional dance partner Darren Bennett found themselves in the bottom two with Craig Kelly and Flavia Cacace.
After the dance-off, judges Len Goodman, Alesha Dixon, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli had to decide which couple to eliminate.
Horwood and Dixon decided to save Lynda and Darren, while Tonioli chose Craig and Flavia. As head judge, Goodman had the deciding vote.
He chose Craig and Flavia, meaning that Lynda and Darren became the fourth couple to be eliminated.
She said: "Darren's been absolutely fantastic, thank you. It's been brilliant."

How are Joe and Kirstina still in the comp, his mother must be spending a fortune on phone votes.
STRICTLY bosses have pulled off a major coup over fierce rival The X Factor by signing the Bee Gees.
The British pop legends will sing on Strictly in their first TV performance since the death of Maurice Gibb in 2003.
Surviving brothers Robin and Barry are due to appear on the BBC1 show on October 31.
They will sing classic track You Should Be Dancing.
And there's even talk of the Strictly's celeb dancers performing as a group to Bee Gee hits such as Night Fever, Staying Alive and Jive Talkin'.
Strictly and The X Factor - which upset fans by going head-to-head in the TV schedules - appear to be stepping up their ratings war by booking bigger and better guests.
Last week Strictly tried to trump The X Factor's Robbie Williams comeback on Sunday by bagging junkie singer Amy Winehouse and her god-daughter Dionne Bromfield on Saturday.
However, The X Factor is set to triumph over the dance show this weekend.
While Strictly is getting golden oldies Spandau Ballet to sing their 1980s hit Gold, Simon Cowell and Co have booked superstar Whitney Houston to sing on Sunday. X Factor is also trying to firm up a booking with queen of pop Madonna - but Strictly already has diva Mariah Carey in the bag.
A source told TV Biz: "The rivalry between the two shows is fiercer than ever this year.
"There's no way they're going to share acts. If you're on Strictly you can't be on X Factor and vice-versa.
"Signing the Bee Gees is a huge win for Strictly. They're British music royalty and this is their first performance without Maurice. It's a blow to The X Factor but it is sure to be back with another belting name soon."
With judge Dannii Minogue's family connections, it is expected pop princess sister Kylie will take time out of her US tour to perform on the show.
Barry and Robin Gibb have reunited twice on stage since Maurice's death but this is their first TV gig.

How the ******* did James and Zoe end up in the dance off they are Zoe is one of the best dancers in the competition along with Jade Johnstone better than that poser Ricky Whittle anyday. I can only guess that half the viewers were on a toilet break when Zoe and James were dancing because their Jive was the best Jive of the night. I hope Zoe and Jade are in the competiton a lot longer than Ricky and Ali as I have warmed to James and Ian over the last couple of years. When James dances with Georgina from Casualty I thought he was a bit of a pig but when he dances with Gabby Logan and last year with Cherie Lunghi he has become one of my favourite male dancers as although he may come across as arrogant and pigheaded his is not he really cares about his female dancers and so does Iain Waite both these dancers may not have the likeablity that Anton, Darren and Brendan have but the progression that Zoe and Jade have shown over the last months proves that both these girls deserve to go to the final and they get my vote.

I wondered the same thing as in my mind Craig and Flavia should of been in the dance off as he wasn not that great :( Her outfut was a little tacky and Craig really couldn't dance. He always looks awkward when he dances not comfortable with what he is doing.
Craig and his comment to Jo Wood being like skippy the Kangaroo made me laugh so much. Craig is too honest for his own good sometimes. I can't help but like him as he never strokes the celebs egos he just says how he feels :)
I am so pleased to see that Joe has finally gone. I am so happy. I find his balance when dancing a little off and he couldn't co-ordinate his moves :( Now maybe as Joe and Kristina are off our screens they can get on with their 'romance' or will this fizzle out now they are not dancing together anymore?

Joe Calzaghe and Kristina Rihanoff have become the fifth couple voted off Strictly Come Dancing.
The Welsh boxer and Russian professional were joined in the dance-off by Footballers' Wives star Zoe Lucker and James Jordan.
Earlier in the evening, Calzaghe scored 21 points for his Jive, while Lucker impressed the judges with the same dance, totalling 30 points.
Coronation Street star Craig Kelly avoided a third dance-off, despite finishing bottom of the judges' leaderboard with 20 points.
All four judges voted to save Lucker and Jordan, after both couples performed for the second time.

BATTERED BBC bosses have finally bowed to irate viewers and moved Strictly Come Dancing out of direct competition with the X Factor.
The ballroom hit will shift to an earlier slot after the Beeb's attempt to dent the ratings of its ITV1 rival backfired.
Since the shows went head to head, Simon Cowell's series has won an average 10.9m viewers on Saturdays compared to Strictly's 7.8million.
Fans angry at having to choose had besieged the BBC.
From October 31 the overlap will be just 45minutes, with Strictly kicking off at 6.50pm and ending at 8.45pm, while the X Factor starts at 8pm.
An ITV source said: "It looks like they're running scared."
But last night the Beeb denied Strictly, hosted by Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly had been shunted due to the X Factor.
A spokesman said it was to make way for a show by impressionist Jon Culshaw.

Wood and Brendan Cole were joined in the bottom two by Olympic athlete Jade Johnson and Ian Waite.
Earlier in the evening, Wood and Cole scored only 14 and finished bottom of the leaderboard with their samba. Johnson and Waite fared better, finishing joint third with the same dance and a score of 32.
After the dance-off, all four judges voted to save Waite and Johnson. However, Alesha Dixon praised Wood for being a "fantastic sport" on the show.

The Strictly Come Dancing judges tonight voted to boot Zoë Lucker from the BBC One show following a dance-off that they branded as "ludicrous".
The actress and her partner James Jordan, who danced the samba, were joined in the bottom two by Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian and Brian Fortuna.
Bastian and Fortuna's paso doble won the judges' favour, although Bruno Tonioli said that neither of the two couples should have faced the axe.
Lucker and Jordan had earlier scored 32 out of 40 for their samba, while Bastian and Fortuna gained one additional point for their paso doble.
Craig described the decision as a "heinous dilemma", while head judge Len Goodman said that he was dismayed. "I'm sorry , I know that the viewers can do what they like and it is a popularity contest and all that but this is ludicrous. It is nonsensical," he said.
Speaking after the results, Lucker said that she had had an "amazing experience" and praised her dancing partner as the "best teacher".

PENNY Lancaster returns to the floor on Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday - serenaded by hubby Rod Stewart.
The model, 38, will do the cha cha cha with pro Matthew Cutler as Rod croons his hit Same Old Song.
The show - to be filmed at the top of Blackpool Tower - will be her first dance in public since she competed on Strictly in 2007.
A source told TV Biz: "Penny is really excited. She's been practising like a demon."

Penny never got to cha cha cha two years ago. She was eliminated in week six after a dodgy salsa with partner Ian Waite.

Penny and Rod, 64, will fly to Blackpool in their private jet - while the other celebs go by coach.
They've also booked a swanky hotel so they don't have to share the Tower ballroom's dressing rooms with the other dancers.
The source said: "Penny's going back in style."

Jools Oliver has revealed that she wants to appear on Strictly Come Dancing.
The wife of celebrity chef Jamie said that she is a big fan of the hit BBC dance competition.
"I'd love to go on Strictly Come Dancing," she told Red.
The 35-year-old admitted that she and Jamie had discussed the possibility of her starring on the series.
"I asked him that the other day," she explained. "What if I got a great opportunity? He couldn't stay at home and I wouldn't want a full-time nanny. He said, 'We'd have to rethink'. Truth is, Jamie would never change his job - but it was sweet of him to offer."
Jools also affirmed that she would like to expand their family. "I'd love a fourth child," she added. "I'm trying to show Jamie how well I can do with three. Petal needs a friend."

There's no way Zoe should have been in the dance of with Ali and Brian. It should have been craig that went. He is a nice guy but he can't dance for toffee and has not progressed since week one.
Ali Bastian and Brian Fortuna are planning to perform a "romantic" Viennese waltz on Strictly Come Dancing.
The ex-Hollyoaks actress, who was saved by the judges in Saturday's dance-off, said that she is loving her latest routine.
"I love [the Viennese waltz], I absolutely love it. I'm so happy to be doing a ballroom dance in Blackpool," she told It Takes Two.
"Brian's chosen a beautiful song for us, it's really romantic and really lovely."
Speaking about their near exit from the show, she said: "You just never know. Every week, you think it could possibly be you."
Fortuna added: "The whole experience is horrendous. I came to the realisation that this could be the end. I love coming in and spending all day with Ali. I haven't done anything else for the last two months. We haven't spoke to our families, gone out with our friends, gone out for a drink - it's just been Strictly."

Sorry Katy I have to disagree with you. I thought the judges were kind with their comments, especially Craig when he said he was glad that Craig had made it to Blackpool. For once I agreed with Aleesha she was right. Last week he was showing signs of improvement but this week it was back to week one. It was Dad's dancing. The divide is getting wider as the weeks go on and anyone who scores 17 out of 40 in week 8 has to go. Next week will be a tough week we have Ali and Ricky who have taken to dancing like a duck to water and are favourites to reach the final. We have Jade and Lalia who are the dark horses of the competition and if they can get the public voting for them can blow this competition wide open. Chris and Natalie have to keep up the pressure if they are to survive a couple of more weeks. Then at the bottom we have phil and Ricky Groves who are hoping that their clowing around will win them votes. If the public vote right it will be Phil and Ricky Groves in the bottom two unless one of the other celebs makes a huge mistake.
Next week it going to be hard cos the couples who should be at the bottom are really funny
Im looking forward to next week though cos now all the terrible ones have gone its going to be very interesting
Strictly Come Dancing has its third romance this series – between Hollyoaks actor Ricky Whittle and Natalie Lowe.
Show insiders say Ricky and dance partner Natalie first fell for each other several weeks ago.
And on Sunday they were spotted taking Nat’s parents for a meal in Liverpool, where Ricky films Hollyoaks.
Natalie and Ricky left separately in an effort to throw photographers off the scent.
But one onlooker said: “They looked very cosy and it certainly seemed as though Natalie's mum and dad took to Ricky.”
Ricky and Natalie follow in the footsteps of contestants Joe Calzaghe, who is dating Kristina Rihanoff, and Ali Bastian, who has fallen for Brian Fortuna.
It was revealed last week Ricky, 27, had split from girlfriend of two years and fellow Hollyoaks star Carley Stenson.
But he did not look like a man nursing a broken heart during the weekend’s Blackpool special.
While talking of scoring three 10s the previous week he said: “The best part of the night was seeing how happy Natalie was.”
And during training this week he told how dancing with Natalie was a real thrill.
He said: “I'm loving the tango, it’s so sexy and passionate. This is just so hot, it’s unbelievable.”
A BBC spokeswoman refused to comment on the romance but added: “There is clearly a great deal of chemistry between them.”

Bruce Forsyth has been forced to pull out of tomorrow night's episode of Strictly Come Dancing because he has been struck down with flu.
The 81-year-old presenter is to take a week off from the BBC One ballroom show after receiving medical advice, it has been confirmed.
Forsyth's co-host Tess Daly will take over his usual role of introducing the dances and judges' comments in Saturday's instalment, BBC News reports.
A spokesman said: "Unfortunately, due to a bout of the flu and on doctor's orders, Bruce will be unable to host Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday. However, Tess Daly will be stepping into his presenting shoes."
No announcement has been made on whether a replacement will be recruited to perform Daly's backstage presenting duties. She usually interviews each couple after they leave the dancefloor.

Bruce Forsyth has pulled out of Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing "on doctor's orders" because he has flu, the BBC has announced.
Co-presenter Tess Daly will be taking on the 81-year-old's hosting role while her backstage duties will be handled by Claudia Winkleman.
Winkleman presents spin-off show It Takes Two on BBC Two.
It is the first time Forsyth has missed a show since Strictly Come Dancing began on BBC One in 2004.

Poor Brucie I hope he's better soon.
STRICTLY will air a tribute to Dirty Dancing star Patrick Swayze tonight.
The actor, 57, died from pancreatic cancer in September.
Dancers Brian Fortuna and Kristina Rihanoff will perform a routine for the film's hit song She's Like The Wind.
A Strictly insider said: "Kristina is a big fan of Patrick and asked the show if she could do a tribute."
REJECT Jo Wood and her Strictly dance partner Brendan Cole enjoyed a boogie at Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding's new bar Kanaloa in London.
They then slurped up a huge cocktail - intended for eight people.

I felt so sorry for Jade and Lelia tonight. They were both devastated at being injured. I'm glad that Lelia was voted through to next week as like Jade she is progressing each week. If Ricky Groves is in the dance off next week then he should go as it will be three weeks in the bottom two. One wrong step could put any couple in the dance off. Hopefully both Jade and Leila will be fit for next week.

Sad to see Phil go but his dancing partner seemed like a real nightmare I think she half believed that they would be voted through!
Shame about Jade not a big fan of Lelia as I am surprised she is still in the competition!
Mariah Carey has reportedly pulled out of a planned performance on Strictly Come Dancing this weekend but will still appear on The X Factor.
The singer's slot on the celebrity dancing reality contest will now be taken by the cast of the West End show Jersey Boys.
A BBC spokesman said: "We had hoped to have Mariah Carey on the show but her schedule changed and made it impossible."
However, according to the Daily Mail, Carey opted out of the show because X Factor boss Simon Cowell said that she could not appear on both programmes.
A source told the newspaper that BBC executives felt that Carey had been "completely unprofessional" in pulling her performance.
Carey pre-recorded her X Factor spot yesterday, filming upcoming single 'I Want To Know What Love Is' in front of a live audience.

Strictly Come Dancing is to return to its old two-show format for the final three rounds of the series, it has emerged.
According to The Mirror, BBC schedulers have decided to make room for a separate results instalment which will air on Saturday nights after ITV1's The X Factor from next month.
Fans currently see the ballroom performances, results announcement, dance-off and elimination all in the same episode. This arrangement was introduced for the first time this year.
Insiders have claimed that the latest change is being made so viewers have more time to vote as the competition reaches its final stages.
A source said: "The current 15-minute window doesn't give enough time for the calls to get through as the contest hots up."
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.50pm on BBC One.

Why do they keep mucking around with the format? They need to be more concerned with the quality of the contestants then whether they can drag the show out to 2 nights?

Olympic athlete Jade Johnson has been forced to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing through injury.
The long-jumper, who "popped" her knee last Saturday, was unable to perform this weekend and consequently had to leave the competition.
Presenters Tess Daly and Bruce Forsyth confirmed to viewers that she was suffering from a "grade two tear" to a knee ligament.
Speaking on a VT, Johnson said: "I'm so, so upset that I can't dance tonight. Right now, it just makes me see what a wonderful time I've had, how much I've enjoyed it and definitely how much I'm going to miss it."
In the studio, her dance partner Ian Waite added: "Jade has developed so much as a person and dancer. It's been such a journey. I've loved every minute."
Forsyth and head judge Len Goodman both paid tribute to Johnson, describing her as a "potential finalist".
Strictly continues next Saturday, with the final five celebrities performing Charlestons and rock 'n' roll routines.

EastEnders star Ricky Groves has become the tenth celebrity voted off Strictly Come Dancing.
The soap star, who was partnered by Erin Boag, finished bottom of the judges' leaderboard, only scoring 22 points for his tango. Craig Revel Horwood claimed that Groves's routine was filled with "mistakes galore" and described it as "mechanical".
Groves, who was in the bottom two for the third consecutive week, was joined in the dance-off by Laila Rouass and Anton Du Beke. Rouass totalled 29 points for her waltz.
All four judges chose to save Rouass and Du Beke without hesitation. Afterwards, Erin Boag praised Groves, calling him the perfect partner.
The actor added: "I've met Rod Stewart, I've met Shirley Bassey and most importantly I've met Erin Boag, so thank you very much."

I'm losing interest now Jade and Iain have gone. It's looks as if it's a two-horse race now between Ali and Ricky Whittle. Leila will have to pull something spectacular out of the bag to keep up the pressure. Either Natalie or Chris to go this week.
I love Ali and Ricky, I just love to watch them dance

I love Ali and Ricky, I just love to watch them dance
They are amazing dancers and they deserve to be in the final but for me SCD is all about a celeb who starts of pretty rubbbish and blossom each week. Both Ali and Ricky have been great dancers since week one. Poor Ali only ended up in the dance off because she is not as popular as some of the other celebs. I would have liked to see Zoe and Jade still in the competition.
I do get that, I do love seeing them improve and me great and at least go really far, even to the final
But when I watch amazing dancers I just love them and it depends on the celebs and how good and wellhow good the routine is if If I want them to win, which in the case of Ali and Ricky I do.
Fair enough its all about improvement BUT its not their fault they were good from the off and its not fair if we put all our attention to the improvers, I think because viewers love improvers that its unfair to the great dancers who have always been great to watch
Alesha Dixon has suggested that she may quit her judging role on Strictly Come Dancing to focus on her music career.
The former Mis-Teeq star controversially replaced Arlene Phillips on the panel of the celebrity dancing competition this year.
When asked if she would return next year, Dixon told The Mirror: "I'd like to, but there's talk of me going to America to promote my album, so I'll take each day as it comes."
A show source said: "We're very keen to keep Alesha, especially given the fuss it caused.
"But she is super ambitious and she won't be committing to anything until next year, once she sees what else is on offer. Bosses will be on tenterhooks."
A BBC spokesman added that "nothing is confirmed" regarding the makeup of next year's panel.
Dixon released the Gary Barlow co-written single 'To Love Again' earlier this month.

Ricky Whittle has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
The Holloyaks star and Strictly Come Dancing favourite was reportedly involved in an incident in Liverpool this morning, the Daily Mail reports.
A Merseyside police spokesperson said: "A 29-year-old man from Billinge, Lancashire, has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He remains in custody where he will be questioned by officers later today.
"The arrest follows an incident in which took place in Duke Street, Liverpool City Centre, in the early hours of Friday morning. The incident involved a collision with a male pedestrian."
It is believed that the other party involved was 34-year-old photographer Steve Farrell.

Nelly Furtado and James Morrison will perform together on this weekend's Strictly Come Dancing.
Morrison will team up with the Canadian singer for a rendition of their hit single 'Broken Strings' on Saturday's live show.
Confirming the news on Twitter, Furtado said: "Practicing singing with James Morrison at Strictly Come Dancing, London, UK. James and I will perform 'Broken Strings' together for first time!"
Morrison has previously performed the track, which are taken from his Songs For You, Truths For Me LP, with ex-Sugababe Keisha Buchanan.
Strictly continues on Saturday at 6.50pm on BBC One.

I missed most of SCD this evening need to catch up on iplayer but I'm not surprised that Ricky was in the dance-off. Not because his dancing was poor he is one of the best dancers in the competition. But because what has happened in the press. If it was down to the public vote I think Ricky would have went tonight and he has blown his chances of winning this competition.

Natalie Cassidy she was in the dance off with Ricky Whittle but all judges chose Ricky to stay.
Craig Revel Horwood has reportedly suggested that Arlene Phillips is being lined up for a Strictly Come Dancing return.
The judge said that BBC bosses hope to bring back the axed panellist for the 2010 dancing series.
Phillips, who will launch the corporation's new show So You Think You Can Dance in January, recently admitted that she still finds it upsetting that she was the only judge to be ditched as part of a Strictly revamp in July.
Horwood, 44, suggested to the Sunday Mirror that the decision could have been part of a long-term plan by producers. He said: "Who knows whether or not her sacking was a ploy so she could do the other dance show?
"It's all up for question. It's possible it's a conspiracy. Has anyone thought of that? There were a lot of rumours surrounding Arlene's dismissal about whether she left of her own accord. But I think Arlene is more than capable of coming back. She's coming on the live tour and it's not as if she's not liked. I would love to have her back and I've missed her."
Horwood also said that although he remains close friends with the 66-year-old choreographer, she never talks about her shock sacking.

I was thinking the same thing watching it 'cos he's always been very popular up 'til now. I guess being arrested on suspicion of assault has dented his popularity. I wonder if the public will have a long memory in this instance?
It hasn't affected my opinion of him though - I still like him.

Bette Midler is to perform on this weekend's Strictly Come Dancing.
The 63-year-old American singer and actress, who is currently promoting her Best Bette: Deluxe Edition LP, was confirmed by the BBC One show's official Twitter earlier today.
Saturday's quarter-final will feature the final four celebrities - Ali Bastian, Ricky Whittle, Chris Hollins and Laila Rouass - performing two dances.
It will also be the first show this year to include five judges. Ballet star Darcey Bussell will join the regular panel of Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Alesha Dixon.
Strictly continues this Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.

Alesha Dixon is set to sign up to next year's series of Strictly Come Dancing. Skip related content
The BBC said the 31-year-old has been doing a "first-class job" and it is looking forward to welcoming her back.
Alesha replaced 66-year-old choreographer Arlene Phillips on the judging panel of the dance competition, prompting an age row.
There has been speculation that the singer, whose initial appearance as a judge was slammed but who appears to have grown in confidence in her role, may bow out next year to focus on her music career.
But she insisted she would be able to fit both jobs into her hectic schedule.
A BBC spokesman said: "Alesha has been doing a first-class job as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing and we look forward to having her back next year."
It is understood that contracts are due to be signed closer to the beginning of the next series.
Alesha, who rose to fame with Mis-Teeq, said: "The series has gone so quickly, I'll be quite sad when it finishes. I would love to do Strictly again next year.
"Obviously music is my first job, I'm making my second album and probably going to America but I can work round it so I can do both.
"I would absolutely love to do Strictly next year and I know they would love to have me back."

Aw poor Anton and Leila went tonight but they were the poorest dancers of the night. Once again Ricky Whittle was in the dance off. No offence I know he's an amazing dancer but he is not going to reach the finale if the public have anything to do with it. The only chance he has are the judges to save him. Ali/Bryan & Chris and Ola for the final. Chris and Ola to win. As Bruce said Chris and Ola are the only couple not to have been in the dance off.

Im not liking darcey bussell at all, i just cant see why they have added her this last in the competition.
I really dont like ricky whittle, i really do like chris and ola, hes not the greatest but he makes me laugh and im enjoying watching him more than Ali!
I'd love chris and ola to win
Chris to win - Ricky is not very likeable
Chris just cannot help pulling faces like a concentrating toddler when he is dancing. You can see him counting.
I loves the way he went and kissed his wife before listening to the judges comments. I would find it hard having a glamour puss slobbering all over my husband week in week out.
