Lol I dont really know what made me think about this, Im not asking about you going back in your own lifetime and changing anything but if you like had a time machine for arguments and could go back, where would you?

I know this sounds odd but Id wanna go back quite far to like shakespeares time, I just think it would be cool to speak like that :p
Or even victorian times, just see how life would be different

I would not want to go back in time too far, lol, I am too spoilt with central heating to live without electricity and running water. Although the idea of living without car exhaust fumes and industrial environmental pollution is appealing. :)

I think i would like to go back in time to the 70's. I looked soo cool on Life on Mars, the music and the fashion!

The 60s were even better but 70s were cool too :)

To exam week so I already knew the questions haha. Or 30 years back so I'd have known 3 grandparents instead of 1.

I thought about this on Tuesday when we had a powercut and had no electricity for about 3 hours. It's times like that where I really realise how fortunate I am compared to how people live like that now, no warmth, no computer, no TV, no lighting!!.. Least I have a roof over my head and easy access to water (even though it wasn't hot!). I wouldn't mind a powercut every now and then.. it's good in that way
Roll on next year maybe?

Definately the 60's. Camper vans and peace and flowers and the cool clothes, yep.. definately for me!

Or way back when they had Charston dancers, so like.. 20's? I see it on films and I love their clothes and lifestyles seems so glamorous :)

Most people on here want to go back in time to the periods I've actually lived through. It's making me feel very old. :(

When you say going back in time, does that mean going back to live there or just visit for a while? If it's going back to live, I agree with those who've said they wouldn't because of all the creature comforts you'd have to give up, though I've always thought the life of an Edwardian gentleman would be quite nice with all those servants running round after you!

If it was just to visit, I think I would like to go back and see a few Shakespeare plays being put on for the first time.

I agree with people who say they would like to visit different periods in the past, but think that now (whilst be it far from perfect) is the best place to be...think of all the mod cons we have now, or all the illnesses that either have been wiped out or can be cured now, which say even 50 years ago, were killing people.

However, I would, just for a short visit, would like to gooo back into Victorian Times - but only as a rich lady, not a servant. And I would like to gooo back into Tudor Times too. Maybe meet King Henry VIII!
