When did Bradley get this dog? Please, please let Danielle hurry up and tell Ronnie! Let's not turn this into another Mitchell who has child out there and it takes months if not years before they find out. Like what happened with Phil, who was "clever" enough to figure out that HIV+ Mark could not father Lisa's baby or Grant, who still hasn't realised that he is the father of Michelle's son.

Airs on Monday, February 2 2009 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One

He wonders why she's all dressed up and is flabbergasted when she shows him what's in the box. A smug Janine watches as something's offloaded from a white van. In the café, Darren accidentally spills coffee on Janine's suit as he's rushing out the door. Libby wishes him a happy birthday but he's in a rush to pick something up from Jack and reveals that Jack's giving him the Car Lot. Afterwards, Libby tries to reassure Darren that Jack will honour their agreement.

However, Darren finds Janine at the Lot with a glass of champagne and is devastated to learn that Jack's signed the Car Lot over to her. As she reveals her new 'Janine's Cars' sign, Libby throws a pot of paint over her in a fit of rage.

Meanwhile, Archie's becoming frustrated by Peggy's new-found independence after she fails to tell him where she's going when she heads out. Dismissing his concern, Peggy reassures him that she's okay and tells him not to fuss. Later, Peggy's upstairs in The Vic working on the laptop. When Archie asks what she's up to, she lies that she's looking up film times for her and Sal. With Peggy out of the room, Archie quickly goes back to the laptop to see what she was really doing, but only catches it shutting down. Later, Sal calls asking for Peggy, inadvertently dropping her sister in it with Archie – they were meant to be at the cinema. Returning home, Peggy finds Archie waiting for her. After confronting her about the film, Archie's surprised to hear that Peggy's running for a place on the local council.

Danielle confesses her shocking secret to Stacey
Airs on Thursday, February 5 2009 at 19:30 GMT on BBC One

As Ronnie and Danielle leave the Square for the clinic, Stacey frantically searches for the clinic's address. When they arrive, Danielle's in disbelief over what she's about to do and begins to cry. Ronnie tries to comfort her, reassuring her that she'd be an excellent mother. Danielle begins to think about the life that's growing inside her, but Ronnie insists that she's talking about a bundle of cells, not a baby. Danielle continues to question herself, before asking Ronnie what she did with her baby girl when she was younger. Ronnie reluctantly confirms that she gave her baby up for adoption, but that's as much as she's willing to divulge. The doctor interrupts their conversation and invites Danielle into the consultation room, suggesting that 'her mum' go in, too.

After the consultation, Danielle asks Ronnie if she'll return to the clinic with her tomorrow. As she's about to take her first pill, Stacey bursts through the door and pleads with her not to go through with it. Danielle, however, swallows the pill and returns home. Back at the Slaters', Danielle talks to Stacey about the future and the conversation soon turns to Ronnie. When Stacey asks Danielle why she chose Ronnie of all people to go with her, Stacey's gobsmacked when Danielle reveals that Ronnie is her mother.

Meanwhile, Jane and Christian are dealing with their father's sudden appearance in Walford. Jane tries to defend him, while Christian can't believe that his sister seems to have forgotten his past actions. Linda's getting on well with her husband, but she quickly breaks the news to him that things are over between them. Roger tries to talk to his son, but Christian quickly shoots him down, fuming that he's had the audacity to turn up out of the blue after all these years. Linda slowly begins to soften towards Roger and tells Christian not to be so hard on him – she has to take some of the blame for him going off with another woman. When asked whether she's returning to Florida, Linda fails to answer.

Elsewhere, Janine tries to sweet talk Darren into working for her; Tiffany still wants a birthday party, but Bianca's still against the idea; re-thinking Janine's offer, Darren decides to accept; Ricky manages to strike a deal with Ian to hold Tiffany's party at the café; and Whitney receives the news that Tony is pleading 'not guilty' and that there will be a trial.

Ronnie tries to sever ties with Danielle
Airs on Friday, February 6 2009 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One

Stacey's deep in conversation with Danielle over the revelation that Ronnie is Danielle's biological mother. Stacey suggests that Danielle should tell Ronnie the truth, before making Danielle aware that Ronnie accompanied Danielle to the clinic to abort her own grandchild. Feeling ashamed, Danielle reaches a decision – she's going to tell Ronnie the truth. Tracking Ronnie down in the café, Danielle is pleased when Ronnie reassures her that she'll go with her to her next appointment at the clinic. Later in the Launderette, Dot finds Ronnie deep in thought. At that moment, Ronnie confesses that when she was 14, she gave a baby up for adoption. Dot also reveals that she lost a baby, but can't find the words to admit that she had a termination.

Over at the Slaters', Stacey brings Danielle back down to earth when she announces that Ronnie might not want to have anything to do with her when she finally learns the truth. Danielle insists that Ronnie wanted to track down her daughter, but Stacey mentions the abortion issue. Without a flicker, Danielle tells her best friend that she's not aborted her baby yet – she's not taken the final pill.

At the Launderette, Dot suggests that Ronnie's friendship with Danielle is bringing back awful memories and maybe she should consider severing contact. Ronnie phones Danielle and lies that a problem has arisen at work, so she won't be able to attend the appointment. Ronnie also assures Danielle that having a baby was the biggest mistake of her life. Later, at the clinic, Danielle tells the doctor that she wants to proceed and admits that Ronnie isn't her mother, claiming her mother is dead.

Meanwhile, it's Tiffany's birthday and she's delighted to find her family waiting for her in the kitchen to celebrate. Later, at work, Bianca tells Jane that she's so happy Ian has allowed them to use the café for Tiffany's birthday free of charge. Jane, however, breaks the news that it's not free and Bianca soon realises that Ricky's lied to her. Confronting him about the situation, Ricky says that paying for the party is Tiffany's present. As the party gets underway, Tiffany wants to know where Whitney is, so Ricky offers to track her down. He eventually talks Whitney into celebrating with the rest of the family. At the party, Bianca is backed into a corner by Shirley, who quickly realises that something's not quite right…

Elsewhere, Ronnie talks to Bradley about Stacey's termination; Bradley loses Gumbo but is pleasantly surprised when a girl called Syd turns up on his doorstep with the news that Gumbo's in the park; Linda decides to make a fresh start in America; and Heather's disappointed when she overhears Minty talking about her to Garry.

Darren has his eye on an opportunity at the car lot, and is getting excited because Jack has told him that he can have the business. But Jack hasn't played straight and it turns out that Janine is taking over – much to Darren's and Libby's disgust. She offers Darren a job and at first he isn't interested, until financial pressure gets to him.

Peggy decides that she wants to get on the local council but Archie isn't keen on the idea so he gets Roxy to help him convince her to bring the wedding forward – and stop her in her political tracks. But has she got the better of him?

Food and cross words fly as Zainab and Jane vie for kitchen space. Peggy has a surprise for Archie while Ronnie is in a quandary as Danielle's final appointment nears. Bradley is determined to get Gumbo off his hands.

Ronnie is struggling with the responsibility she feels towards Danielle, particularly after she tells her she took the advice to book an abortion. Ronnie says she will go with her and support her – but when she goes round to the Slater's house, this confuses Stacey who, in the midst of trying to persuade her friend to keep the baby, can't understand why Danielle and Ronnie have struck up such an uneasy relationship. Eventually Danielle confesses that Ronnie is her mother – much to Stacey's shock.

Bradley is having fun and games with Gumbo who has taken over his bed, and most of his life. He sets his mind on selling the dog at a show but things take a different track when he mixes with other owners on the day – he gets offered £100 a time for stud fees.

Whitney finds out that Tony is pleading not guilty which means she will have to testify in court. This isn't good news and she doesn't want to go anywhere – not even Tiffany's party.

It's her little sister's birthday and Ricky has gone to extreme lengths to give her the party she wants – including lying to Bianca about getting use of Ian's café for the event. When she finds out that Ricky has paid, and it wasn't free, she tells him she doesn't want charity. But that's not the only declaration. When Tiffany says she wishes Ricky was her Daddy, could it be that her wish is going to come true? Bianca does some calculations
