Morrissey has suggested that he may quit music in the near future.

The singer has admitted that he 'can't imagine' releasing much more new material.

"I don’t want to go on much longer, really," he told Filter. "I think that would suggest a lack of imagination. A certain lack of dignity also.

"There has to reach a point where you’ve said enough, I think."

The star rose to fame as lead singer in The Smiths and has enjoyed a successful solo career after the group disbanded in 1987.

Morrissey releases his ninth solo album Years Of Refusal on February 16.

His music will be missed by a lot of people, I am sure

Well the Smiths music isn't going to disappear. Like Elvis, music lives on.

To be honest I haven't heard anything new from Morrissey for years - I had no idea he was still around... no loss to me then!
