Is Kelly Brook destined to become this year's Cheryl Cole?
The presenter and actress would appear to be headed that way following the news that she is set to join the panel of Britain's Got Talent.
The show's creator Simon Cowell decided last week that he wanted a fourth judge on the show and Kelly was signed up just hours before auditions started today.
Kelly will sit on the panel alongside Simon and show regulars Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden when the new series hits our screens in May.
She has previously appeared as a judge on Living TV's reality show Dirty Dancing: The Time Of Your Life and also took part in the 2007 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
It would seem Simon Cowell is hoping Kelly will have the 'Cheryl Cole effect' on Britain's Got Talent - breathing new life into the show and boosting ratings.
It remains to be seen how Amanda Holden will feel about having a younger and prettier woman on the panel - could we witness another Dannii Minogue v Sharon Osbourne stand-off? Fingers crossed.

ANT and Dec were left shocked after learning Kelly Brook was joining Britain’s Got Talent – just minutes before they got to auditions.

The busty model, 29, arrived at the first day’s filming in a stunning frock — while behind the scenes the Geordie duo fumed.

They expected three judges when they went to Manchester on Tuesday.

But soon after arriving, show boss Simon Cowell, 49, announced Kelly was joining the panel.

A show source said: “They couldn’t believe it. They were expecting to have at least been kept in the loop about it.

“They have no problem with her joining but they just would rather have found out about it in a different way.”

The insider added: “It’s fair to say there was a tense atmosphere during the auditions.”

Cowell only decided to get Kelly on the ITV1 hit last week.

She signed her contract on Monday night.

Come to think of it, do any of the judges have any talent? I can't bring myself to endure the auditions, there's Amanda who's smile looks so painful and appears to be going down the way of Cher, Piers and his self-importance and Simon who seems to be constantly smiling, thinking "how much money am I making out of this crap?" He doesn't even like or respect the other judges having very little to do with them the rest of the year. Maybe staring down Kelly's top will make this "I'm only in it for the dough" show more bearable.

Model and actress Kelly Brook has been axed as a judge on Britain's Got Talent after just six days in the job.

The 29-year-old was unveiled as a new judge on the ITV show only last Tuesday alongside Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.

She had been attending auditions in Manchester but after reviewing the tapes, the show's producers decided the new panel was too "complicated".

Cowell said the format did not "support another judge".

In a statement, Cowell said: "I have genuinely enjoyed working with Kelly, she is absolutely lovely and a complete professional.

"But it's become clear the format doesn't support another judge and we will never add a fourth judge to the panel."

When he recruited her, Cowell said she had "absolutely no idea what she's let herself in for".

A spokesman for production company TalkbackThames added: "The format of the show is cleaner and less complicated with just three judges, which was not fully appreciated ahead of filming.

"Although Kelly brings a huge amount of warmth to the show and we've loved having her on board, the complications it adds to the filming process and format of the show means that unfortunately, and with huge regret, we have agreed with ITV not to proceed with a fourth judge."

Brook - who is dating England rugby union international Danny Cipriani - has been left "stunned" by the decision, according to the Daily Mirror.

After being signed up with a reported £200,000 contract, she said she had been a "huge fan" of the show since its first series.

Brook, who trained at London's Italia Conti stage school, said: "With my dance background, I cannot wait to see the dancers."

Her first major TV job came in 1999 when she succeeded Denise Van Outen as co-presenter of The Big Breakfast, alongside Johnny Vaughan, at the age of 19.

But her performances on the show were heavily criticised in the press and she left the show after just six months.

She slowly rebuilt her on-screen career, presenting Celebrity Love Island, appearing in several TV shows and films in the US - including Superman spin-off Smallville - and competing in Strictly Come Dancing. Last year, she made her West End stage debut in the comic play Fat Pig.

Her recruitment on Britain's Got Talent followed the successful addition of Cheryl Cole as an extra judge in the last series of Cowell's other big UK show, The X Factor.

The winner of Britain's Got Talent pockets £100,000 and the chance to perform for the Queen at this year's Royal Variety Performance.

The third series of the show will be broadcast this spring

Thats horrible to dump her so suddenly. At least when they got rid of Brian Friedman from X Factor he had another role, which he is probably more suited to. They probably just wanted the publicity so everyone knows the auditions are on.

KELLY Brook will receive her full £100,000 fee for being a judge on Britain’s Got Talent — despite getting the boot after just THREE DAYS of work.

The 29-year-old beauty was only hired last week but was stunned when she sensationally got the bullet on Monday.

Britain’s Got Talent star and co-producer Simon Cowell said it had become clear the show did not work with a fourth judge alongside himself, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.

Kelly had been filming Manchester auditions for just three days.

But even though she is not doing the full series, TV chiefs are being forced to stump up her entire £100,000 fee.

Despite the pay bonus, a source close to the star said: “Kelly is so upset.

“Yes, she started off a bit shaky but she was getting better towards the end of the auditions. Kelly has been treated shabbily.”

Simon said: “I spoke to Kelly and she was gracious and understood. I have genuinely enjoyed working with Kelly.”

The show airs in May.

Simon Cowell has apologised to Kelly Brook for axing her from Britain's Got Talent and said that he has offered her a new role on the show.

The model and presenter was dropped from the ITV1 programme just six days after being hired.

Speaking to The Mirror, Cowell described the 29-year-old as a "tough little cookie" and said: "I have spoken to Kelly on the phone and apologised.

"She was very pragmatic and very professional about it, although obviously a bit sad about no longer being a judge."

The music mogul added that he had created a new position for Brook on the spinoff programme, Britain's Got More Talent.

"I’ve offered Kelly a part on my ITV2 show. I actually liked her - she was good, she was fine," he said. "The problem was not her. Britain’s Got Talent just doesn’t work with four people.

"She is a warm person, who looks great and is very enthusiastic and that is why I spoke to her about the ITV2 show. I hope she’ll accept."

The new series of Britain's Got Talent will air on ITV1 in May.

MTV is reportedly planning to create a comeback role for Kelly Brook.

The broadcaster is hoping to lure the model and presenter back to the channel that helped kick-start her career, reports The Mirror.

According to a show insider, MTV bosses have been "talking seriously about her big comeback" and are considering creating a role specially for her.

The 29-year-old appeared on MTV Select after departing The Big Breakfast in 1999.

"This is a massive turnaround for Kelly. There is such a buzz in the MTV studios it's amazing," said the source.

"Kelly could be a massive draw - and not just because of her looks. If the deal is right, she could be returning home better than ever."

Last week, Brook was axed as judge on Britain's Got Talent after just six days in the job.

Amanda Holden has claimed that working with four judges on Britain's Got Talent was too "confusing".

The actress said that Kelly Brook had to be axed from the reality TV series because there was not enough room for her in the show's format.

"Kelly's a lovely girl, but it doesn't work with four people, it doesn't," she told GMTV. "Because when you get two buzzes, and then two non-buzzes, Ant and Dec and everyone was going, 'What does that mean?'...and it was so ridiculously confusing.

"It was a shame for her because she was thrown completely in at the deep end."

Kelly Brook was let go by the talent show panel on January 20, just six days after being appointed.

Simon Cowell has tipped two dance acts for success on the new series of Britain's Got Talent.

Father-and-son act Stavros Flatley and London-based dance troupe Flawless became firm favourites with the music mogul when they auditioned for the ITV1 series earlier this year.

Greek Cypriot duo Stavros Flatley, also known as Demetrios and Lagi Demetriou, won praise from Cowell after performing their own interpretation of Riverdance.

Addressing the panel, Demetrios, 40, explained: "Being in a Greek family, it's all about being close and family is very important. Today we are going to show you one part of Greek culture, which is dancing."

Lagi, 14, added: "I would go to my Dad's restaurant, and when I saw him dancing and the passion he had, I just wanted to be up there with him."

Following the performance, Cowell predicted a bright future for the pair, describing them as "one of my favourite dance acts ever".

Meanwhile, dance troupe Flawless received a standing ovation from the music boss following their own audition.

Cowell commented: "[That was] one of the best things I have seen in my life."

Britain's Got Talent airs at 7.45pm tonight on ITV1.

Lets see whether he is right

Kelly Brook has spoken out for the first time about getting axed from Britain's Got Talent and says the show's hosts Ant and Dec were to blame.

The TV personality told the Daily Mail that she was advised her TV career was over after she inadvertently upset the programme's presenters.

She said: "I would love to have stayed on the show. I really felt it was working out. Ant and Dec had never been anything but pleasant to my face but, clearly, they didn't want me on the show.

"There was nothing I could do in this country after Britain's Got Talent. The people at ITV were telling me that I had upset Ant and Dec and that was it."

The Geordie presenters claimed in their autobiography that Kelly had turned up for the first day's filming and asked them what they did on the programme, which suggested that she hadn't watched the show.

However, Kelly says she had watched it and that she had simply asked the presenters what they would be doing backstage during the recording.

She added: "Basically, I just don't think Ant and Dec liked me. Their egos are such that they were saying to themselves 'How dare she think she can come on to our show?', and since then they've been very vocal about their displeasure at me being there."

Kelly, who was axed after just six days, also revealed that Simon Cowell told her that he would have liked her to stay but that it wasn't possible because of what was going on behind the scenes.

Ant and Dec were reportedly angry that Kelly had been added to the show as a judge without their consent.
