Okay i am asking this because i have to decide if i want to go to one or not.
Has anyone been to one that was not their own? what is it like? is it worth going? would you like to go if you have not yet had a chance?
All I can say is my boyf and lots of other guys I know said they wouldn't have missed it for the world.. my niece has been to 3 already and she said it was good.. be prepared, baby are not the cutest when they come out.

I've seen them birth shows on discovery home and health or what ever they put them on these days but they have to be different than actually being at one for real right?

I went to my best friends when we were both 16 and it was not pretty. Be prepared as it could take hours. It's an amazing thing to see a new life being born but the decision should not be taken lightly as you will need to give a lot of support and encouragement.
In my opinion it would be the best contraception out there!!!!
Go for it vicks, you may regret it if you dont

I was thrown in at the deep end as her mum was at work and her boyfriend was in the jail. So I couldn't leave her I was there from almost 12 hours just letting her squeezing my hands and yelling at me.

I have a choice, if i won't go then my mum said she will go with her because other than the father who she refuses to let go in anyway she has no one else
Give it a go hun. If your mum i willing to do it to and she is ok with that, then why not go try it and let your mum be outside just in case you ant handle it?
when we had connor dave wasnt sure how hed cope, so i had dave in the room and my sister on standby outside jut incase, it was good as well as i was in labour room pshing for 12 hours and when he needed to step out for a wee or to get me some ice she would pop in and chat with me!

When is the baby due? I will say its an experience you'll never forget but nothing can prepare you for it as every birth is different she may have a quick labopur she may take hours. I was 34 hours with Marley before my C-Section and my sister who normally faints if you have a paper cut was so fancinated by the operation as they have to take out body parts to get the baby out (sorry Debs) she couldn't stop talking about it for weeks. If you do decide to be a birth partner as long as you give the mother hugs and encouragement you'll be fine.

When is the baby due?
July 29th so i do have a while to decide but there is no sense in going through all this nearer the time cos it could take me ages to decide what i wanna do
Don't think i'd be very good at encouragement  i'd be better if it was a c-section to be fair
I would say go along, your presence will probably be encouragement enough and you never know, you might be better at it than you currently anticipate. :)
