View Full Version : Firefox
Fo the past couple of days FF has been playing up. Last night it stopped woking altogethe and won't load any pages, quick links o bookmaks. It just displays this
Connection Interrupted
The document contains no data.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.
I've cleaed the cache and eloaded the poxy but it's still displaying the message. Shot of installing it again, is thee anything I can do?
(Apologies fo my spelling, one of my keys has stopped woking. Hope you can undestand it)
No idea I'm afraid - my firefox is working fine and I've had no problems with it.
I would probably say to try reinstalling it
Unstalled and einstalled V3 and it's still doing the same thing. Tied using an olde vesion that I have but that's not woking eithe. Got a diffeent message about 'the connection was eset'
Install something better (http://www.opera.com/download/).
Have you tried IE to see if the same thing is happening on there?? Is it happening with certain sites, or with everything?
I've tried Opera before, but didn't like it :D :p
IE is woking fine. I can't get on any sites on FF.
I've downloaded Google Chome. It's ok but won't mak the foums as ead on SB, I have to log out to clea the post list thing. Bette than IE though.
I've tied Opea, give me FF any day ove that.
I've just quickly googled the problem and there seems to be a few having the same issue.
I've found a couple of links which may help...
This one from Mozilla themselves:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Cannot+connect+after+upgrading+Firefox
and this one from googling....
http://www.cavsplace.net/content/view/56/27/
Don't know if any of them will help....let me know x
Thanks for that :D The second link worked, something to do with ipv6. It's working now.
Brilliant!!!!
Glad I could help - I don't know what I'd do without Firefox! Far prefer it to all other browsers I've tried previously
I love Firefox although I like the seamlessness of Chrome.
Thinking on it, it stopped working when I installed the update for my theme. Maybe that's what caused ipv6 to switch to ipv4 :searchme:
Thanks again :)
