internet connection + msn?

okay so its taken us 3 days to try and sort out the wireless for my new laptop. earlier i just took the modem out of the computer and stuck it in here for a few hours so i could get on msn and check my emails etc etc. but now its not letting me sign into msn because its saying that the internet isnt connected? just wondering if anyone could please help me with this? i am connected to the internet but its coming up with the sign into tiscali thing that was on when the modem was connected but i dont need that now. sorry if this isnt making any sense but hopefully someone will know what i'm on about. oh and its saying internet explorer isnt connected but i use firefox so i went on IE and checked it so is wasnt working offline but still no luck.

It could be that your laptop is thinking it needs to connect through the Tiscali modem you plugged in, as opposed to using the wireless.

That would be the first place I would start probably anyway.

I know when I first got my laptop, I forgot to actually turn my wireless on aswell :lol:

It was that lol. I've managed to sort it out, jusr told it not to cennect to Tiscali and its doing what I tell it to now :D
