View Full Version : Guess the Baby Competition !

Ok, had one of these a few years ago (2006), and I thought it would be fun if we did it again :). This is how it works..

- You send me a picture of you as a baby (via PM or email, up to you)
- I will put the pic up here
- You all guess who you think the baby is
- The winner is the first one to guess

- There will be 1 pic a week (if I get enough pics), so if there is no winner after 1 week it will rollover until someone guesses right.

- After all the pics have been up, the overall winner is the one with the most points :)

- All the pics are of Soapboard members

Simple? Okay, all I need now is your baby photos :)
Don't be afraid, it's a bit of fun.
If you have any questions, just post them here :).

Competition will start when I have at least 4 pictures; as that is a months worth of comps.

Either. Baby or toddler. No older though. Some people might not have baby ones.. so toddler is fine :).

Aww, I was adopted from a children´s home when I was 6 so no toddler pics of me :crying: But will have a go at guessing you pretty things out there :D

I don't think I have any baby or toddler photos of me but I will have a look and try and scan it at work next week.

I think the rules were that any picture was fine as long as it wasn't that easily recognisable as you now, because I remember people who were under 16 at the time submitting their pictures.

I might do this but i don't think i can scan picture's in so it'll be a pretty bad picture unfortenatly.

Come on send me baby pics!!!! I've had the promise of ONE so far... though that person hasn't sent it.. you know who you are!!! Like I say.. need at least 4 to start the comp!!!! (if you send in your pic, please don't tell anyone)

I now have enough pictures to get this going :p. Though KEEP SENDING :p.

Starting Monday 5th January.

This is how it will work (this is the best way I can think of, if you have another idea, just let me know)...

Monday 5th: Picture goes up

You all have three guesses. That will go like this..

1. Abbie
2. Crazylea
3. Ems

If you have it right at spot 1... you get 3 points.
If you have it right at spot 2... you get 2 points.
If you have it right at spot 3... you get 1 point.

So make sure the one you think it is the most is at spot number 1!

You will not find out if you are right until Sunday. Where I will post the results.

You get 2 extra points for simply sending a picture in.

You are allowed to guess the same as other people.

Deadline is 2pm every Sunday!


Does this make sense?
Post questions if it does not.
That's the simplest way I could think of describing it.

Great plan Lea :) More of an incentive to keep guessing than in the last version if I remember correctly, because then there wasn't an ongoing leaderboard.

Just a quick one on this.. you said winner if first one to guess but as some people have pick 3 choices, does it matter if it was 1st choice.. in other words if you have the person as choice 2 or 3 and next person has the baby at choice 1.. does the 1st person win??? (do you get what I mean??)

Shiv - I think this is the new way, so its not first correct guesser is the winner, as you are getting a leaderboard and points system.

I think I'm right in saying that anyway lol

Yeah sorry Siobhan and others who I may have confused. When I thought of doing the comp again, that's how I was going to mark it... but changed my mind, and thought points system and a leaderboard would be more fun. xxx
