Lily Allen has ended Lady GaGa's three-week reign at the top of the UK singles chart.

'The Fear' - the lead single from her upcoming album It's Not Me, It's You - debuts in the pole position this week, becoming her second number one single.

Allen previously reached the top with 'Smile' in July 2006.

Lady GaGa's 'Just Dance' slips to two this week, while Kid Cudi's 'Day 'N' Nite' falls to three.

Meanwhile, Alesha Dixon climbs from 13 to six with 'Breathe Slow' to notch up her second top ten hit as a solo artist.

Outside of the top ten, Jason Mraz climbs from 22 to eleven with 'I'm Yours', while Britney Spears advances from 17 to 13 with 'Circus'.

My two favourite songs in the chart are both at the top :)

I love this song and I could listen all day, everyday. I really love the b-side, Fag Hag too. I can't wait for her album next week because the album sampler I have is totally over-played :p

Lily Allen has held onto her position at the top of the UK singles chart.

'The Fear', the lead single from her upcoming sophomore album It's Not Me, It's You, notches up a second week at number one this week.

Lady GaGa remains at two with former chart-topper 'Just Dance', while Tinchy Stryder bounces back to three with 'Take Me Back'.

The highest new entry of the week comes from Eminem, whose comeback single 'Crack The Bottle' debuts at four.

Alesha Dixon climbs from six to five with 'Breathe Slow', while Australian R&B singer Daniel Merriweather debuts at eight with 'Change'.

Outside of the top ten, Shontelle's debut single 'T-Shirt' jumps from 25 to 13. Pussycat Dolls also make an impressive leap this week, climbing from 36 to 16 with 'Whatcha Think About That'.

My favourite song from INMIY is Never Gonna Happen at the moment. Or He Wasn't There, because it reminds me of me and my dad. Or Him.. I love ALL the songs on it. It's one of my favourite albums at the moment :wub:

I love that one.. Reminds me of Not Big, but more grown-up somehow. It's a bit of an odd single choice in my opinion...

Lily Allen has claimed that she may decide to quit music before the year is over.
The singer-songwriter told MTV that she has no firm plans to record a follow-up to her second studio album It's Not Me, It's You (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a145878/lily-allen-its-not-me-its-you.html), which topped (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a146803/lily-allen-scores-uk-chart-double.html) the UK chart earlier this month.
"I couldn't tell you if I'm going to make another record, because I don't know if I'm going to enjoy this in six months' time," Allen explained. "I'm a 'live the day' person. I have no idea what I'm doing tomorrow. I certainly don't think about a week from now or a month from now.
"As far as the future goes, there's only a vague plan of getting married and having kids. I am not actively hunting for a husband. Much."

I thought she said this aaaaaages ago, before The Fear was even released? And she was saying how she's a very boring person in that she wants to get married and have kids. I'm pretty sure she said she wanted to go into acting too.

that's a close second. never really liked her before but this albumn is brilliant and made me see her in a completley different light, now looking over her first albumn i actually quite like that too, but her second is the best!
