What is his fate?

I really hope he survives but i've seen rumours that the actor Paul O Brien is leaving the show

He's dead. Not many people come back from being shot through the heart and blood coming out of their mouth. Somebody does die when H&A returns in Jan as there is a funeral scene in the new season preview. Tony is there, as is Xavier. Why would Xavier be at a funeral for somebody he doesn't know?

Paul is taking three month break in the new year.

was a very sad episode. When martha was sat talking to him and then she was asleep on his chest and the room went from glowing to being really dark, i bawled my eyes out!!!!

there are rumours Jack might not be dead but undercover and be back in three months dont know how true they are

There's no way they could pull it off. He was obviously dead when the paramedics arrived. Nobody else was present to give him something to render him unconcious.

They've done it once before with Peter and it was just about believable.

someone has mailed in the same question to inside soap who have confirmed he is well and truely dead

I was reading the rumours as well under the youtube videos but there is no way that they will have the same story again, it worked with Peter, it wouldnt work again.
