Taxi/Cab Help?!

I am going to a party soon and in case of emergency or whatever I want to have a taxi firm's number on me..
Is there a website which allows me to find taxi firms or black cabs near me with drivers who are police checked or whatever.. People who I know are safe to go with?

Look for a Hackney Carriage company. They are licensed by either the local authority or the Public Carriage Office in London.
