THE BBC unveiled plans yesterday to share its iPlayer technology in a deal that could generate £120million a year for other broadcasting firms.
The Beeb wants to make its successful online catch-up TV service more widely available.

Director General Mark Thompson said sharing some of the benefits of the BBC’s “scale and security” with the rest of the industry will strengthen it in the long term

I can't get ITV catchup or 4OD to work. Demand is hit and miss. The only online player that works all the time for me is the iplayer :D
