Monday 22nd Dec

Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) visits Jo (Roxanne Pallett) to plead for clemency on Andy’s (Kelvin Fletcher) behalf, but Jo warns her she’ll call the police if he comes near the farm. With Diane gone, Jo and Lee (Lewis Linford) begin selling off the farm’s assets. Their scheming is interrupted when Mick (Tony Haygarth) comes in on his day off. Jo pleads with Lee to get rid of his granddad. However, after selling off the cows and tractor Jo is caught unawares when Mick wanders into an empty barn. As he begins to question her, Jo legs it and locks a surprised Mick in the barn. She tells him about her intention to leave and ignores his request for her to reconsider. When Mike pleads with her to leave Sarah (Sophia Amber Moore), Jo is torn as to what is best for her stepdaughter as she drives away from the farm. Meanwhile, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) struggles to hold herself together by seeing the state Carl (Tom Lister) is in. They agree to have a drink in the Woolpack and Chas is surprised when Carl begins to open up about events following the wedding. However, Lexi (Sally Oliver) enters the pub and is jealous to observe the cosy scene. Carl’s sombre mood is starting to wear thin on Lexi when he spurns her attempts at talking to him. Elsewhere, the Bishop (Peter Cartwright) informs Ashley (John Middleton) that his last sermon will be on Christmas Day. As the news spreads the villagers are disgusted with the lack of notice, but Ashley puts on a brave face, pleased to be going out on a high. Surprisingly, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) is their most vocal supporter and vows to help save the church to win back the villagers.

Tuesday 23 December

Carl (Tom Lister) blames Lexi (Sally Oliver) when it transpires that he forgot to collect his mum’s jewellery box from the safe in Home Farm. When the security guard refuses to let Carl back in, he meets Chas (Lucy Pargeter) in the Woolpack to ask for her help. Coming up with a plan, Chas visits Katie (Sammy Winward) and distracts the security guard under the pretence of asking about the horses. While the guard is out of patrol, Carl makes his entrance and tells Katie what they require. She gives them a key to break into Home Farm and they retrieve the jewellery. As they reflect on their past and each other’s not so rosy future the couple end up in a romantic clinch outside the Dingle’s. Chas pulls away but not before unknown to her Aaron (Danny Miller) witnesses their illicit kiss. Elsewhere, when Shane fails to show up at work for the second day running, Donna (Verity Rushworth) and Charlotte (Emma Hartley-Miller) break into his flat to look for evidence of his whereabouts. They discover a receipt for a one-way ticket to Morocco. After hearing the news from Donna, Sergeant Drake (Steven Hillman) questions Jasmine (Jenna-Louise Coleman). She tries to tell Drake that her relationship with Shane was only casual, but the canny police officer sees through her lies. Under pressure from his questioning, Jasmine tells Drake that she thinks Shane may have been involved with the MacFarlane’s. Drake believes her and informs Vaughan (Richard Cole) who orders a full investigation. Back in the village Debbie (Charley Webb) dares to think that Jasmine’s confession may have been just what they needed to keep the police at bay. At Butlers, Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) and Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) arrive after receiving a text from Jo, only to find the farm deserted. They free a relieved Mick (Tony Haygarth) from the barn, but Andy is distressed about his daughter. Andy finds out that Jo has sold off the stock and fled, sure that he’s taken Sarah with him. Mick accuses Lee (Lewis Linford) of being Jo’s accomplice and warns his grandson not to cross Andy. After searching the farm Andy is relieved to find Sarah (Sophia Amber Moore) safe at the Dingles. However, his joy soon turns to astonishment when Debbie refuses to allow Andy access and tells him to leave. With Andy gone, Lisa (Jane Cox) questions Debbie as to whether she’d take Sarah full-time, but Debbie worries about the implications of Shane’s murder.

Wednesday 24 December

Chas (Lucy Pargeter) tells Carl (Tom Lister) she is not interested and to forget what happened yesterday, insisting he patches things up with Lexi (Sally Oliver). Carl attempts to put up a fight but Chas tells him to stop running from his responsibilities and fight for a future in the village. Before he can say more they are interrupted by Eli (Joseph Gilgun) and Aaron (Danny Miller). Aaron regards Carl with contempt and he’s got no option than to leave. At the Woolpack Eli questions Chas over Carl’s intentions but she dismisses his concerns. Meanwhile, Vaughan (Richard Cole) orders Donna (Verity Rushworth), Drake (Steven Hillman) and Charlotte (Emma Hartley-Miller) to raid Shane’s flat for evidence. The three of them find the drugs and money left by Eli and inform Vaughan. Vaughan is riled to hear the evidence of Shane’s corruption and orders them to move mountains in an attempt to locate him, keeping quiet until they do. Later, Debbie (Charley Webb) and Jasmine (Jenna-Louise Coleman) are relieved to hear Donna’s urging them to move on from Shane as that is what she will be doing. At Home Farm, Rodney (Patrick Mower) is clearing out the office when he receives a message about a shoot in the grounds that was not cancelled. Rodney tries to talk to the Kings but is given short shrift. Conspiring, Rodney gets Jamie (Alex Carter) on board to help go ahead with the Home Farm shoot behind the Kings backs. He ropes Katie (Sammy Winward) in to help with the horses though neglecting to tell her the exact circumstances.

Thursday 25 December 7pm

Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) is miserable when Scarlett buys Daz (Luke Tittensor) a more extravagant gift than she has but Daz makes her feel better by telling her he loves the St. Christopher she bought him. Val (Charlie Hardwick) catches Daz and Victoria kissing and Victoria is heartbroken when Daz betrays her by telling Val that it was her that came onto him and runs off.
Drinking with Jake (James Baxter), Daz, Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) and Aaron (Danny Miller), Victoria slides on the frozen lake in the grounds of Home Farm and falls through the ice into the icy water. Victoria, in the murky water, has a moment of relief as she grabs onto a hand until she realises it is lifeless and her strength fails. Daz plunges into the gloom but can’t find Victoria. Not wanting to give up on her Daz makes one last attempt to save Victoria and finally finds a way out of the freezing tomb. They realise Victoria is unconscious and desperately try to revive her. Victoria finally takes a breath and Daz tries to warm her as she shakes at what she has just encountered. Meanwhile, the villagers gather at the church for Ashley’s (John Middleton) final service and everyone is confused by Nicola’s (Nicola Wheeler) chipper mood. At the service Ashley delivers a moving final sermon leading Edna to berate the packed congregation for not doing more to save the church. Nicola urges the congregation to bolt the doors and stage a sit in protest. She receives widespread support and soon everyone is bringing food and drink for a Christmas Day in church. Val sends Pollard (Chris Chittell) and David (Matthew Wolfenden) to a fake meeting with the Bishop to get them out of the way. On a side road outside the village the pair notice vehicles, local press and camera crews heading to the village and Pollard realises they’ve been stitched up. With the local news painting him as scrooge Pollard withdraws his offer for the church to the delight of everyone. Elsewhere, Jasmine (Jenna-Louise Coleman) is furious to find out that Debbie (Charley Webb) and Eli (Joseph Gilgun) have kept the money from Shane’s flat and demands they get rid of it. They head out into the woods and Jasmine makes them burn all of the money. Eli hopes it will keep her quiet but Debbie is quietly upset at seeing her future income go up in smoke. Later, Laurel arrives to visit Jasmine and she shrugs off questions about Drake’s visit the other day. Debbie is pleased with how well Jasmine is coping.

Friday 26 December

Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) returns home from a night in hospital and Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) worries because she’d been screaming in her sleep. Discussing her fears about Victoria’s mental state with Daz (Luke Tittensor) and Andy (Kelvin Fletcher), Diane doesn’t notice that Victoria hears everything, seething at the low regard in which she is held. When Victoria refuses to eat anything, Diane becomes more concerned and tells Val (Charlie Hardwick) who warns Daz that it could be his fault she’s feeling down. He guiltily confronts Victoria and she reveals that the reason she’s been so frightened is that there is a dead body in the lake. Meanwhile, the guests turn up to Home Farm for the event, but Jamie (Alex Carter) is immediately ill at ease when Rodney (Patrick Mower) becomes distracted by one of their wives. Rodney tells him to butt out but Jamie continues to worry when one of the guests tries to book a meal in the Woolpack, certain that one of the Kings will be there. Rodney covers himself by asking Marlon (Mark Charnock) to prepare some meals at the B&B. Although the shoot is going well, Jamie and Zak (Steve Halliwell) are annoyed to find out that Rodney has been ripping them off when Lee (Lewis Linford) laughs at the rate they’ve been given for game keeping. Zak vows to make sure that Rodney gets his just desserts. Ashley (John Middleton) is informed that the church will only remain open till a new buyer is found. Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) takes Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) for a celebratory drink and feels for her friend when she sees how much Nicola misses David (Matthew Wolfenden). Nicola admits to Laurel that she is enjoying being the nice guy for once and vows to help save the church. However, Ashley worries that she may go too far in her efforts to impress.

I think Carl and Chas were great together. I hate him with Lexi. Its like he is settling for second best. I dont think he has ever got over Chas.

Lexi acts stuck up and thinks she is better than everyone else. Yeah Chas may have been a stripper in her past but Lexi was a lap dancer so it makes her no different to Chas.

I hope they get back together.
