View Full Version : Jade Goody
Jade Goody has revealed that she is considering releasing an album next year.
The Big Brother star has been attending singing lessons in recent weeks to prepare for her role as the Wicked Queen in a production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves at the Theatre Royal in Lincoln.
"I don't have a bad voice but it needs toning up a bit," Goody told the Daily Star. "Who knows, I may release an album when the show is over."
Goody recently admitted that she is looking to Trisha Goddard for inspiration as she fights cervical cancer.
Her battle with the illness is currently being documented in a Living reality series.
She needs to concentrate on getting better - in private.

PANTO??? I know, you can understand why some people are doubting her illness. I think like others she should concentrate on getting better in private - let this be one area of her life that she should refrain from being sooo public/making money out of - I think she would find that more people would have respect for her, if she did kept a low profile and just got on with it...in private.
Different people have different ways of coping with things. Jade has got used to being in the lime light since her BB experience, she probably needs the attention to take her mind off the fact she might be dead in a few years. Probably needs the money too seing that her business took a steep nose dive after the Shilpa Shetty affair.

Exactly, why have the cameras there all the time, and be busy going on different tv programs, if time could be precious. Her energy should be going into recovering and spending time with her boys and family...IMO

Oh dear, please NOO!
If she's ill... the show and a music career would definately be the last thing on her mind right now.
Any sympathy for Jade Goody and her cancer would soon disappear if she tried cashing in on a doomed singing career. What is it with these Z listers.
Has anybody ever heard her sing? Would she be able to have a decent go at this career? :searchme:
DEVASTATED Jade Goody sobbed “I don’t want to die” as doctors gently told her that her cancer had spread.
The Big Brother star had longed for good news after numerous bouts of chemotherapy which cruelly saw her hair fall out.
But medics gathered round her hospital bed yesterday morning to explain that tumours had been found in her liver, bowel and groin.
They scrapped their previous estimate that she had a 40 per cent chance of survival — and began treating the mum of two to prolong her life as long as possible rather than pursue a cure.
Jade, 27, told The Sun last night: “I am devastated. I am frightened and I am angry. I don’t want to die because I have so much to live for.
“The reality is I have gone from a 40 per cent chance of a cure to seeing how long I can stay alive.
“The whole thing is absolutely terrifying. To try and remain positive, I am hoping a new type of treatment will suppress and control the cancer, which is very aggressive. I am in a nightmare.”
Jade, first diagnosed with cervical cancer last August, was admitted to London’s Royal Marsden Hospital in agonising pain last Friday.
She had discharged herself against medical advice to join sons Bobby, five, and four-year-old Freddie at their home in Upshire, Essex.
But she had to return to hospital after collapsing.
She spent yesterday in tears after doctors delivered the shattering verdict. She has already begun to prepare a will and has told close family to expect the worst.
Boyfriend Jack Tweed, 21, was said to be “numb” over the news and Jade’s 50-year-old mum Jackiey “in pieces” at her bedside last night.
Jade added: “It’s awful. The doctors have confirmed the worst. The chemo hasn’t been as effective as I hoped.
“They are now trying to work out the best way to attack these new tumours and still have an effect on the original cancer in the cervix.
“All I can do is hope a different combination of drugs and all the expert care will mean the cancer can be kept at bay. That’s what I hope and pray will happen.”
Emergency meetings were held last night to develop a new action plan to minimise Jade’s suffering and try to shrink the aggressive tumours.
Medics at the Royal Marsden have not given her a percentage survival rating.
They said only that they are now treating her to prolong her life so she can spend as much time as possible with her boys. A friend of the family said last night: “It’s what we’d all been dreading.
“You think with Jade that she’ll always bounce back. You think she’s a fighter and that she’s going to beat this.
“But she can’t seem to win this fight — the cancer is too advanced and the doctors don’t hold out much hope.
“It’s so unfair. She’s a mum of two young kids and they need her. Everyone is in total shock and all that’s left to do is pray.”
Jade has the option to refuse further treatment, but is expected to battle on. Her sons are staying with their dad, TV host Jeff Brazier. Her spokesman Max Clifford said last night: “It is absolutely heartbreaking. She is only a young woman and she is desperately trying to put on a brave face and be positive for her children.
“She is desperately trying to keep herself busy because that is what she wants to do.
“The doctors have got to get the pain under control and see what they can do to give her the best chance.
“It could be a combination of chemo, radiotherapy and new drugs. Whatever gives her the best chance of suppressing and controlling the cancer and prolonging her life.
“She’s a lovely girl and this has been devastating news. She has had the most severe form of treatment in the last couple of months and come up smiling.
“She was obviously hoping for good news and what she’s got is devastating news.
“That means there’s going to be a lot more in front of her. She’s a real fighter, but it’s just horrendous.”
Jade first had pre-cancerous cells removed at 16 and has since suffered a series of collapses and bouts of blood loss.
Three years ago she was admitted to The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, Essex, with stomach cramps. But her cancer was not diagnosed until last year. Mr Clifford said this made yesterday’s diagnosis even harder to take. He said: “She is angry because she first went into hospital three years ago and a diagnosis could have been made then.
Instead — three years later — doctors found a tumour the size of a large tomato.”
Jade was first told of her cervical cancer in the diary room of the Indian version of Big Brother and flew home for emergency treatment.
She has since been criticised for allowing her treatment to be filmed — and for a series of interviews about her illness.
But she said: “People will say I’m doing this for money — and they’re right, I am. But not to buy flash cars or big houses. It’s for my sons’ future if I’m not here.
“I don’t want my kids to have the same miserable, drug-blighted, poverty-stricken childhood I did.
“If cancer has taught me anything it’s that big houses aren’t important, being rich isn’t important. It’s my sons who are important — it’s being alive that’s important.”
Jade is expected to be told of her treatment options today.
Poor woman, I don't like and never have, but I would not wish this illness on anyone :(
Poor Jade and her kids.. she is so young.. I like Jade, she seemed the most real person on BB... I wish her all the best
i think this final news has finally made it real for her, its no age.
Its so sad
I'm no fan of hers, I had a tear in my eye reading that.
Those two boys shouldn't have to go through losing a parent at such a young age.
I hope doctors can prolong her life as long as possible.
Again - I am sorry she has cancer, and I am sorry she is going to die - but surely it would be best for her and her family to do it in private?

Probably but then again I think its important that some celebs tell their story as it reinforces how horrible cancer is and yeah we already know this but I think its important that every now and then we hear about it in hope that it becomes more urgent in findings ways to reduce risks and find cures
I feel really sad about this

But I think its more a sad way that she feels and thinks this is the only way she can make money to ensure that her sons will be left with some money so she can try and ensure their safety after shes gone

When Jade was first diagnosed with Cancer my first opinion was that I hoped she would stay out of the public eye and give herself time to get better, but hearing that the cancer has spread and her decision to make money for her kids future my heart goes out to her.
Unlike many celebs who have suffered rom Cancer over the last few years they have stayed out of the public eye until they were well enough to resume their careers. Jade does not have that luxury her time is running out and she has no career. Before Big Brother came along she was a dental assistant now all she knows is reality TV. It may not be ideal but as she says she does not want her kids growing up like she did. It's sad that she is know for making a fool of herself on TV sitting naked while playing a game of strip poker on national telly, were are those so-called mates now. Jade was gulible when she appeared on BB the first-time that's why she is looked on as some villiage idiot.
I hope Jade does beat the Cancer and get's her life back on track, she doesn't deserve to die so young and those poor boys need their Mum.
Jade Goody may have a case for negligence against the NHS for missing her cervical cancer, it has been alleged.
A lawyer told The Sun that if previous biopsies taken from the reality TV star showed the same cancer "fingerprint" as her current condition, she could potentially win a case for loss of earnings.
Sarah Harman said: "If you are losing blood and collapsing, your cancer is established.
"It's strange it wasn't diagnosed. Jade's symptoms should have been investigated."
Harman added that she respected the fact that Goody does not want to sue the NHS but said that she also has two children to think about.
The Big Brother star spoke today about the "glimmer of hope" offered by a new anti-cancer drug.
There are lots of reasons why a person would collapse and lose blood. Doesn't automatically point to cancer.
I should think Jade has more important things on her mind than suing the NHS, like spending quality time with her children.
TRAGIC Jade Goody was recovering last night after a successful operation to remove a life-threatening tumour.
The cancer-stricken star was well enough to chat to friends and family after two hours of emergency surgery to remove a golf-ball sized blockage from her bowel.
Before the op at London’s Royal Marsden Hospital mum-of-two Jade, 27, insisted that she wanted to carry on with a fly-on-the-wall documentary series about her cancer—despite being told it had spread and she might not survive.
I have to do this for my kids“I have to do this for my kids,” she told bosses at Living TV who had considered stopping filming because of her worsening prognosis.
Jade’s plea has plunged executives at the satellite channel into a moral dilemma over filming what may be her final months. “She’s lived on reality television and she may die on reality television,” one told the News of the World.
But the channel’s chief Claudia Rosencrantz—a well-regarded former ITV boss who launched the careers of Ant and Dec—has supported Jade’s desperate desire to continue with the documentary series. Rosencrantz told a pal: “I’ve cried so much for Jade and have been very emotional for her. But she needs this money so much for her two sons.
“She also she needs the opportunity to show the world how to avoid cancer. That’s also important to her.”
Insiders at the channel have revealed they have begun daily meetings to discuss filming Jade’s rapidly deteriorating condition.
Her contract with Living ends next month with one filmed programme still to be shown. So far there have been no discussions on a renewal. But it is now expected she will sign up for more shows.
Meanwhile Jade—mum to five-year-old Bobby and four-year-old Freddie —is determined to stay positive about her future and has been given a glimmer of hope by doctors.
They have started her on cancer “wonderdrug” Topotecan which shrinks tumours that have not responded to chemotherapy. And Jade, who posed exclusively for the News of the World last month, is said to be happy and upbeat following Friday’s surgery. A medical source added: “The team are pleased with the way things went.”
Friends say all her thoughts are now focused on not despairing despite the disease spreading to her liver, bowel and groin—and she refuses to talk about death. She is telling everyone: “I want to stay alive for my boys.”
Yesterday Jade’s PR Max Clifford said the star found filming her documentary helpful —and stressed it would continue. He said: “She wants to be busy, so there’s something to keep her occupied in-between the trauma and the pain.
“She also wants to warn other people. In terms of Living TV, it’s very much, ‘Do you want us to stop, Jade? Do you want us to leave you?’. Jade’s attitude is, ‘When I’m up to it, you do the filming, that’s what I want to do’.” A source at Living TV—where Jade has worked regularly since she found fame on 2002 with Big Brother —told us: “Everyone here has got very close to Jade through filming the show. We are all praying for a miracle.
“The greatest show we could ever film would be one about Jade’s full recovery, but we have to be realistic. There is no getting around the fact that that situation is grim.”
Other broadcasters have questioned Living’s motives for continuing the filming—noting it has been one of their only successful programme franchises in the last year.
One rival channel boss said: “Jade has become synonymous with Living and she puts bums on seats. When it comes down to it that’s what matters to them, so of course they’re going to do this until the end.”
A spokesman for Living said last night: “Jade’s return to good health is our number one concern.
“We have been working in close consultation with her and we will review the continuation of the series with her when the next programme is broadcast on February 19.”

I feel really sorry for :( It just seems to be more bad news after bad news
JADE Goody’s boyfriend and mum bickered around her bedside, it was revealed today.
The 27-year-old cancer-sufferer had to ‘diffuse’ the situation between mum Jackiey Budden and boyfriend Jack Tweed after having emergency surgery to remove a tumour on her bowel at the weekend.
Agent Max Clifford said that the former Big Brother star, whose cancer has now spread to her bowel, liver and groin, acted as a peacemaker as tempers flared in the hospital.
Max said: "Her Mum and Jack had an argument around her bedside and Jade tried to diffuse the situation.
“It's fair to say that Jackiey is a volatile lady and if she had a problem with Jack, that that's been diffused now."
But Jade’s friend and producer Kate Jackson, who was speaking with Max on This Morning suggested that the spat came after many restless hours worrying about Jade in hospital.
Kate said: “I think emotions were running high around the bedside."
Max revealed that mum-of-two Jade is finding it hard to speak to her children -who she won't be able to see for two weeks - about the illness, but has been talking to experts about the best way to approach the subject.
Jade’s sons Bobby Jack, 5, and Freddie, 4, are staying with their dad Jeff Brazier but have also been cared for by mum Jackiey.
Max: “I think that Jade will obviously adapt as she goes on and she's very close to the boys and is a great mum. She's spoken to Kate and lots of professionals about going about it but she’ll find her own way."
Kate added: “When I spoke to her yesterday she was very sedated and out of it.
“The conversations we've had have been at her bedside when she's been quite ill. I'm sure once she comes around properly from the operation, she'll find a way of talking to the boys."
You would have thought that they stop arguing by her bedside, this is the last thing Jade needs at the moment
Jade Goody has said that her recent emergency operation to help fight her cancer was a success.
The Big Brother star said that she had tubes going in to her nose and neck to provide pain relief during the bowel surgery.
Goody wrote in her new! diary: "The operation lasted nearly two hours and thankfully it was a success.
"I'm just relieved that I won't need a colostomy bag. It's one thing losing my hair, but I think a poo bag would have been too much."
At the weekend, Goody's publicist Max Clifford confirmed that the reality TV star would continue to give press and television interviews despite the spread of her cancer.
I am glad for her

STRICKEN Jade Goody is desperate to return home so she can spend her remaining time with her two young sons.
Complications from her cancer have kept the Big Brother star in hospital, where saddened doctors this week told her they are now powerless to stop the disease spreading.
But medics are hopeful the 27-year-old could yet return to her family’s Essex home and receive treatment from a community Macmillan nurse.
That would allow her to be with her beloved boys Bobby, five, and four-year-old Freddie — who visited her yesterday.
Tragic Jade is also making plans to wed. She and boyfriend Jack Tweed, 21, will tie the knot “in the next few weeks”, her spokesman Max Clifford said last night.
Yesterday tears flowed as Jade’s sons kissed and hugged her after attending a school play. Their mum had pleaded with medics: “I want my boys with me.”
The tragic truth about Jade’s condition emerged on Tuesday when she asked why no more chemotherapy was planned for her next week.
Staff at Chelsea’s Royal Marsden Hospital warned her the truth would be hard to take, but she begged to be told.
A member of the medical team she trusted then gently explained that chemo was now unable to stop her cancer spreading.
Instead, doctors’ concern now is to make her comfortable and ease the pain in the months — or even weeks — before she passes away.
Jade, cruelly robbed of her hair by gruelling sessions of chemotherapy, has drawn up a will from her hospital bed leaving her estate to her sons.
She is being comforted in a private room by mum Jackiey Budden, 50, and boyfriend Jack.
But he has to leave at 3pm daily to get home and comply with the conditions of his prison electronic-tag curfew.
A friend said: “Jade is still fighting, but she knows in her heart there’s no chance of getting out of this situation. All doctors can do is try and make her comfortable.
“It is going to be weeks now. Because she is still a young woman, the cancer cells are growing rapidly.
“A solicitor came into hospital this week.
“Jade has drawn up a will leaving her money in a trust fund for the boys.”
Jade, diagnosed with cervical cancer last August, has continued with media interviews despite her illness to make as much money as possible to leave behind for Bobby and Freddie.
Mr Clifford said: “Selling the rights to her wedding would be a sure fire way of earning a big amount of money.”
Care arrangements for her sons have been drawn up between Jackiey, Jack and the boys’ TV presenter father Jeff Brazier.
The source added: “Jade is very frightened of dying in hospital and wants to spend what time she has left at home with her boys and family close to her.”
Staff decided not to risk any more chemotherapy on Jade’s shattered body and are instead concentrating on palliative care.
They broke the news on Tuesday that earlier hopes of recovery had been dashed by the spread of the disease into her groin, liver and bowel.
Oncologists believe it is highly likely it has also spread to her brain and bones.
The Sun revealed earlier this month that Jade’s cancer had spread.
She sobbed, “I don’t want to die” as doctors told her the devastating news.
She is now getting married to Jack in a £1m magazine deal. Can't blame them, the kids will need looking after and at least there should not be any financial problems.

UNTIL now, Jade Goody never believed she’d have to look death in the face.
She believed that if you really want to live, if you pray hard enough for it, if you throw every fibre of your being into making it happen— then you will.
But that would be in a world where everything was right and fair and where miracles really DO happen.
Jade prayed long and hard for her miracle—but it never came. The cancer she has fought so valiantly has finally beaten her.
It took just a moment for doctors to snuff out the only glimmer of hope that had been lighting up the long dark days since her operation last week.
On Friday afternoon they gathered around her bed and told her there was nothing more they could do. The battle was over and they were sending her home to die.
“I couldn’t breathe when they told me,” says Jade. “I just screamed and cried and said, ‘Can’t anyone do anything to help me!’ Because a few weeks ago when they first told me the chemo hadn’t worked they said it didn’t have to be the end.
“They said there were lots of other medicines out there and there were other things they could do.
http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/img/icons/pullquote_open.gifI know they’ve done everything they can to help me and I’m grateful. But I really thought I might be OKhttp://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/img/icons/pullquote_close.gif
“And I believed them. And there they were telling me it was the end. I didn’t want to believe it. I’m not blaming them. I know they’ve done everything they can to help me and I’m grateful. But I really thought I might be OK.
“But,” she says quietly, “I suppose there was this little part of me that didn’t. Since my bowel operation last week the pain has been getting worse and worse and I still haven’t been to the loo and I knew that was a bad sign. But I was still praying for a miracle.”
Jade says she was by herself when doctors delivered the news that brought her world crashing down around her:
“I rang Jack immediately and he came running in. He was crying and so very upset. He just kept saying, ‘All that chemo, all that pain and it was all for nothing’. He refused to accept it at first and he and the rest of the family started talking about getting me on a plane to America.
“They kept telling me they can do amazing things over there and that maybe there is some miracle cure that we don’t know about.
“But as I listened to them I just kept thinking, ‘It’s too late for me. My time has run out.’ All I want to do now is spend whatever time I have left with Jack and the kids.
“You know, when Jack came out of prison he had no idea how sick I was. And I know this is hard for him because he expected to get me back. He expected the chemo to work and that we’d have a life together as a family.
http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/img/icons/pullquote_open.gifBut I swear we WILL be a family before I die—just not for as long as I’d have hopedhttp://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/img/icons/pullquote_close.gif
“But I swear we WILL be a family before I die—just not for as long as I’d have hoped.
“I love Jack with all my heart and I want to be his wife more than anything in the world. And I will be.
“He’s devastated but he’s really trying to hold it together for me. But as soon as he found out I was going to die he just said, ‘Right then we’re getting married. You’re a special woman, I love you and I would be honoured to call you my wife. And I don’t care if it’s just for a few weeks’.” Jade knows that at 27 she’s too young to die. And, yes, she wants to rant and rail and scream: “I want to ask God why he couldn’t have given me more time with my boys.
“Just a bit—just enough to hear them laugh a few more times, to see that they’re happy, to write them long letters so I can tell them who I was and how much I loved them and remind them about all the things we did together.
“Because they might forget me. And I can’t bear the thought of that.
“I’ve decided I’m going to make them a Memory Box and put in lots of things that will remind them of me and what we did together. And maybe when they’re older it will help them remember.”
A few weeks ago Jade said something that I can’t get out of my head. She said: “I keep asking myself what I did that was so bad that it had to end like this.”
And as I listened to her I realised that’s how she must see this. A deprived childhood with parents too stupid, too selfish and too drug- addicted to make a decent life for their little girl. So, the first chance she got she made one for herself. It’s not the one every parent would have wanted for their daughter.
But for Jade fame and money helped her escape shackles of a miserable childhood, a childhood where she looked after everyone but no-one looked after her.
But the biggest prize in her glitzy new life wasn’t the fame or the money—it was her beloved boys, Freddie, four, and Bobby, five. Jade once told me she believed she’d been given the chance to make good what had happened in HER childhood through her boys.
She was determined that they would have a totally different life to the one she’d had.
They would have a beautiful home, they would have money—but best of all they would have an education, something the street-savvy Jade had always wanted for herself. And the boys truly are a credit to her. They’re sweet, well adjusted, well behaved children and Jade’s biggest joy is that she’s able to pay for them to go to a private school
“When I first knew I had cancer I worked out a strategy,” she said. “I thought if I earn enough money while I’m sick there will be enough for them to go to private school until they are 18.
http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/img/icons/pullquote_open.gifI want my boys to have the very best chance in life they can havehttp://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/img/icons/pullquote_close.gif
“I know people think I’m betraying my roots by sending them to a private school but I want them to have the very best chance in life they can have. And that’s what my money is for. What’s the point of everything I have if I can’t do that for them?”
Jade Goody is an enigma. Even now, when she knows she has less than eight weeks to live, there is resoluteness about her, a strength that is hard to fathom.
When she was first diagnosed and we talked I kept thinking she didn’t really understand what was happening to her. I thought she didn’t understand that she might die.
And, God forgive me, I put it down to the fact she might not be very bright and that she hadn’t fully grasped the seriousness of her condition.
But now I see she always understood. She always knew.
She just put the cancer-stricken Jade away in a box, the one she thought might die, and she kept bringing out the Bright, Bubbly, Indefatigable Jade, the one people expected to see—the one no-one believed for a second would die. And no-one really did. Until now . . .
But now I see it helped her cope. It’s still helping her cope as she prepares for the big white wedding she always dreamed of.
She won’t talk about funeral arrangements. Instead she wants to talk about wedding planners, make-up artists, dresses and wedding cakes.
And just hours after she’d been told she was going to die a friend overheard her and Jack laughing uproariously in her room.
When he asked what was going on Jade was shouting: “Don’t tell him, don’t tell him!”
What had happened was that Jack was trying to show Jade how to break wind so that her swollen stomach might feel just a little more comfortable.
And last night—just a day after her terrible news—Jade was busily getting ready for a Valentine’s Day party with her friends.
It was being held in a little ante- room next to her bedroom and even though Jack can’t stay with her on what will be her last ever Valentine’s Day—because of the conditions of his prison electronic-tag curfew—she was determined to make the best of it and have a party.
All her friends and their partners readily agreed to give up their own Valentine’s Day celebrations to drink champagne with Jade.
“As Jack’s not here my best friend Jen is going to be my date,” says Jade. “But that’s OK. I’ll have my day with Jack and it WILL be the best day of my life.”
WEDDING DAY SHE LONGS FOR
JUST hours after being told she was going to die, Jade Goody’s drug-fuddled mind shuddered into sharp focus.
The fatigue and the grim news that her life now had a time limit were dispensed with. I’d talked to her earlier in the day and she could barely stay awake. But now her survival instincts had kicked in. There was no time to sleep. She had a wedding to plan and very little time to do it.
So at 11pm on Friday she started ringing friends and family—bombarding them with demands and giving them very precise lists of what she wants them to do.
She wanted names of good make-up artists and she wanted to know about wedding cakes. What vicar could marry her in such a short time? And was there a caterer who could pull a wedding like this together in a week? Because Jade knows that’s all the time she has to plan what will be one of the happiest—and probably one of the saddest—days of her life. And instead of wasting time on how she is going to die, this incredible woman decided instead to throw every last ounce of her energy into how she was going to live.
The wedding will be in the next week —even though she hasn’t yet picked a church or a vicar. And she’s determined it will be wonderful.
“For a few hours she was like a whirling dervish,” a friend said last night. “She paid a heavy price for it the next day because she was in excruciating pain. But for the few hours she was able to function she went at those wedding arrangements like a woman possessed.
“It was hard to believe she’d just been told she was going to die. I don’t know where that energy came from but I guess it’s because she knows time is now short and God bless her, she’s making the most of every minute. She decided if she didn’t have time to sleep then the rest of us weren’t going to either. And that’s absolutely fine. Everyone who loves her knows how important this day will be to her.”
Jade has decided she wants a Bentley to drive her to the church and a helicopter to take her to the reception. “It’s something she’s always wanted,” says her friend. “And at this moment what Jade wants, Jade is going to get.”
And it isn’t just a wedding Jade has to plan. Lawyers will be arriving at her home in Essex next week to put the finishing touches to her will which is expected to say that all Jade’s money and her three properties will go to her kids.
“She wants the boys’ education sorted out,” said the friend. She wants where they’re going to live sorted out and she wants to make sure there’s enough money so they will always be secure.
“It’s heartbreaking but it has to be done. And Jade knows it.”

Does this not break your heart. I know Jade can be a pain in the backside and I myself is gulity of slagging her off when she was in BB, but God love her no young woman should have to suffer what she is suffering now. How do you plan your own funeral, how do you tell your beautiful children that you're not going to be there to watch them grow up.

Jade Goody has refused to rule out allowing her death to be filmed for her reality TV show.
The former Big Brother contestant has been told (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a146719/goody-told-she-has-months-to-live.html) that her cancer is terminal and she could have just eight weeks left to live.
A newspaper report last weekend claimed (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a146047/jade-goody-to-renew-living-tv-deal.html) that the star "may die on reality television" after she indicated that she was likely to renew her deal with Living TV.
Speaking to the News Of The World, Goody confirmed: "I've lived my whole adult life talking about my life. The only difference is that I'm talking about my death now. It's OK.
"I've lived in front of the cameras. And maybe I'll die in front of them. And I know some people don't like what I'm doing but at this point I really don't care what other people think. Now, it's about what I want."
The 27-year-old added that she has continued to appear in the press throughout her illness because she wants to secure the future of her two sons, Bobby, five, and Freddie, four.
"When I first knew I had cancer I worked out a strategy," she explained. "I thought if I earn enough money while I'm sick there will be enough for them to go to private school until they are 18.
"I know people think I'm betraying my roots by sending them to a private school but I want them to have the very best chance in life they can have. And that's what my money is for. What's the point of everything I have if I can't do that for them?"
Goody was diagnosed (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a124201/jade-diagnosed-with-cancer-on-big-brother.html) with cervical cancer as she appeared on the Indian version of Big Brother in August last year. She recently announced (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a145582/jade-goody-my-cancer-has-spread.html) that the illness had spread to her liver, bowel and groin.
The article did actually make me cry :(
It made me cry too.
I hope she makes it to her wedding day. It's so unfair that a woman of her age is dying and leaving two young children behind.
I think she deserves more than £1m for her wedding. Her children should have the best education and everything they need financially until they are 21. Private education doesn't come cheap for two children for another 13 years, plus university.

Why is Jade Goody's cancer story in the music forum
Because the thread started out about her possible music career, then her panto performance, which she had to cancel due to needing more treatment for her cancer. Not much point having two threads saying much the same.

this sentence made me cry, its just so awful :(
poor Jade and her family :(
BATTLING Jade Goody is vowing to summon every last ounce of her remaining strength to walk down the aisle with her groom — in a CHURCH wedding.
The brave mum of two, given just months to live last week, looked likely to marry fiancé Jack Tweed in the chapel of the London hospital where she had to endure exhausting cancer treatment.
But she has revealed she is now desperate to hold Sunday’s poignant ceremony in a church elsewhere.
The Big Brother star, 27, said: “I am going to die in this hospital, so I don’t want to get married here.
“But wherever we tie the knot, I’m determined to walk down that aisle. I’ve lost my balance and the doctors aren’t sure if it’s a sign that the cancer has spread to the brain or if it’s just weakness.
“But I’m hoping I will have the strength to walk on my big day. It would be so cruel to be robbed of that one last thing as well.”
Jade’s vow was revealed after Jack took her out in her wheelchair beside the Thames in London — and officially popped the question in a heart-rending scene which saw him get down on his knees.
He tenderly hugged his dying fiancée as she ecstatically said: “Yes”. Jade, mum to five-year-old Bobby and brother Freddie, four, can no longer stand without support after months of chemotherapy.
But she has begged docs at the Royal Marsden Hospital to help her fulfil her wedding day dream.
She told them: “I will be walking down the aisle on my wedding day. Please help me do that.”
Jade added: “I’m so looking forward to being a bride. And I want to walk toward my groom, just like any other young woman would on what is meant to be the best day of their lives.”
Sad doctors have admitted they are unable to save Jade, first diagnosed with cervical cancer last summer. They are now giving her only palliative treatment to ease her pain.
The star has asked Living TV producer Kate Jackson — part of a film crew documenting Jade’s illness — to be her bridesmaid.
Jack, 21, was seen pushing his fiancée around the shops in a hospital wheelchair as they searched for wedding outfits on Sunday.
The pair also picked out engagement rings from Tiffanys.
Jade’s love for Jack shone through later as they made their way along the Chelsea Embankment beside the Thames — stopping to share kisses and hugs.
They enjoyed a golden moment as they paused to exchange the rings and slip them gently on to one another’s fingers. Giggling Jade seemed briefly to forget her grim battle with cancer — kissing her besotted sweetheart’s hand.
Loyal Jack is to have one usher and a best man at the wedding. Both will wear navy Armani suits.
The groom has looked at a cream morning suit by the Italian designer for himself — while eager Jade chose a £3,500 gown from Harrods, given to her as a gift by store owner Mohamed Fayed.
A Harrods spokesman said yesterday: “We can confirm the chairman has given Jade a complimentary wedding dress worth £3,500 after she came into the store at the weekend.
“His heart goes out to her and her family and he wanted to do something to help.”
Jade’s chosen frock is a cream and ivory exclusive Uranio dress from the Pronovias 2009 collection by Manuel Mota. It is available in just five locations worldwide.
Fashioned from silk mikado, it has a classic design with a high neckline, a V-back and full skirt box pleating.
Celebrities sending their support to Jade have included telly’s Simon Cowell and Dale Winton, while more than 1,000 well-wishers bombarded The Sun’s online message boards. Jade has begun eating apricot seeds — popular with US cancer patients who believe they can offer a miracle cure. Some medical experts have warned the stones can release cyanide when digested. But Jade last night insisted: “What have I got to lose?”
The Sun revealed on Saturday how tragic Jade was given the dreadful news that she was dying.
In her remaining time, she will have Bobby and Freddie christened so that they will know “Mummy is in heaven”.
Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford said yesterday: “She’s hoping that through the church they will find Jesus, and through Jesus she’ll be able to stay in touch with them.”
Meanwhile Living TV bosses have changed the title of Thursday night’s reality show from Jade’s Progress to simply Jade.
They have been unable to film with the star for the past two weeks but have instead interviewed Jack, Jade’s mum Jackiey and several close friends.
Jade has said she may even consider dying on telly if it helps financially secure her children.
Living TV said filming of her illness would resume if she consents.

Elton John has offered to host Jade Goody's upcoming wedding at his £20 million Windsor mansion.
Goody's publicist Max Clifford has revealed that the reality star was "staggered" by the singer's generosity as she prepares to tie the knot with boyfriend Jack Tweed.
Speaking to The Mirror, Clifford added that Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed had gifted the former Big Brother star with a designer wedding dress after she visited the Knightsbridge store with Tweed over the weekend.
"She found the most beautiful dress. Mohamed Al Fayed heard about it and said, 'That's my wedding present to you two'," he said.
Guests at the lavish ceremony will reportedly include Sir Elton, Davina McCall and Jamelia, while Goody's mother Jackiey will give her away.
It is thought that the star is seeking a £3 million magazine deal for the event, which will go towards the trust fund that has been set up for her two young sons.
Clifford told Sky News that no date has been set but suggested that the ceremony will take place "in the next couple of weeks".
The 27-year-old previously revealed that she is desperate (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a146805/goody-desperately-wants-to-marry.html) to wed Tweed after doctors broke the news that her cervical cancer is terminal (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a146719/goody-told-she-has-months-to-live.html).
wow how nice would that be getting married in one of Elton's mansions!
Terminally ill Jade Goody is to marry her fiancé Jack Tweed on Sunday, her publicist confirmed today.
The 27-year-old reality TV star, who was told last week she has just months to live, briefly left London's Royal Marsden Hospital yesterday in a wheelchair to exchange engagement rings with Jack, 21 on the banks of the Thames.
Friend and publicist Max Clifford said today that the couple are preparing for a Sunday ceremony.
And he has also given the biggest hint yet that her real-life tragedy will become a television event to be snapped up by the highest bidder.
He said: "I spoke to Jade last night and it is all on for Sunday."
The couple have chosen plush Down Hall country house, in Hatfield Heath, Hertfordshire as the venue.
Jade told The Sun: "I am going to die in this hospital, so I don't want to get married here.
"But wherever we tie the knot, I'm determined to walk down that aisle."
'I'm so looking forward to being a bride. And I want to walk toward my groom, just like any other young woman would on what is meant to be the best day of their lives.'
She said she has "lost her balance", which the doctors were not sure was a sign of her illness or just general weakness.
"But I'm hoping I will have the strength to walk on my big day. It would be so cruel to be robbed of that one last thing as well," she added.
Jade visited Harrods yesterday looking frail in a wheelchair and picked out her wedding dress, a gift from the store's owner Mohamed Al Fayed.
The gown is a cream and ivory exclusive Uranio dress from the Pronovias 2009collection by Manuel Mota which is made from silk mikado and has a classic design with a high neckline, a V-back and full skirt box pleating.
'We can confirm the chairman has given Jade a complimentary wedding dress worth £3,500 after she came into the store at the weekend.
'His heart goes out to her and her family and he wanted to do something to help,' a Harrods spokesman said yesterday.
The gesture should help her stated wish of generating as much money as possible for a trust fund for her sons Bobby, five, and four-year-old Freddie.
Meanwhile messages of help and support have been sent by Jonathan Ross, Simon Cowell and Dale Winton.
Speaking on Sky News yesterday, Mr Clifford said: "This has given her something to think about, a happy event.
"The wedding, the Christening of her two boys, these are all positive things to focus on as opposed to the cancer and what is happening to her and what she is going through."
Mr Clifford said the star picked out Armani suits for her two sons.
Jack will also wear Armani for the event and is said to have considered a cream morning suit. He will have one usher and one best man who will be sporting navy suits, according to reports.
Asked about her remaining in the spotlight during her illness, Mr Clifford said: "Jade has said it is the best thing for her and she is doing things the way she wants to do them.
"She will continue to give interviews providing she is medically able to.
"If she wants it stopped, it stops."
The news came after hours after Jack got down on one knee to present her with a diamond engagement ring on the banks of the Thames.
In a touching scene, he slid the diamond on to her finger before wrapping his arms around her.
Her face lit up and, for a moment, the wheelchair-bound mother-of-two appeared to almost forget her harsh fate.
Jack first proposed on Valentine's Day. But the pair repeated the exchange on Chelsea Embankment after buying rings for each other.
It may be the last instalment of her soap opera life which started when, as a 21-year-old dental nurse from South London, she entered the Big Brother house in 2002.
The Channel 4 reality show earned her notoriety and money in equal amounts and a televised ceremony looks certain to stir the same amount of debate.
Publicist Clifford said that Goody was likely to allow cameras to film her forthcoming wedding with Tweed 'because it was a happy event' and would be a 'distraction' from her terminal illness.
She is currently the subject of a Living TV documentary, but Clifford suggested that the broadcast rights to her wedding could be snapped up by a rival broadcaster.
The Living TV crew has not filmed for ten days following the sharp decline in her health and her terminal diagnosis, he added.
But Jade has already hinted that she may allow cameras to capture her death, saying: ‘I’ve lived in front of the cameras. And maybe I’ll die in front of them.’
John Beyer, director of Mediawatch, said: 'She's being helped along by Max Clifford and she says this is something she wants to do.
'But my feeling is whether that's something the viewers want to see. That's what people will be asking - do we really want to see Jade Goody dying on television?'
'Is it really going to help her family if her dying is going to be made into some kind of Big Brother thing?'
The answer, according to Clifford, is yes.
The PR supremo, whose wife Liz died of cancer six years ago, said Miss Goody is determined to 'keep busy' and secure her children's future.
He said: 'I think it's very easy to be critical but wait until you are told you have terminal cancer. Until you have, you can't begin to comprehend. Jade sees this as the best possible life insurance.'
She apparently told him: 'Max, I know I'm ignorant but I want my boys to have the best possible education money can buy and I am going to make sure I do that for them so that when they grow up they know that mum did that.
'I want to make as much money as I possibly can for them.'
Mr Clifford added: 'She will continue to give interviews provided she is medically able to. It's purely governed by how Jade feels. If she wants it stopped, it stops.'
At present, Jade is refusing to tell her children of her fate.
'They don't know what death means and it will frighten them,' she said.
'So in the end I just told them my tadpoles [the cancer] had had babies, they were swimming around inside me and they have made Mummy much sicker than she was.'
She said that when doctors revealed on Friday that her cancer was terminal, 'I just screamed and cried and said, "Can't anyone do anything to help me!"
'I didn't want to believe it. I know they've done everything they can to help me and I'm grateful. But I really thought I might be OK. I was still praying for a miracle.'
She plans to complete her will at her home in Essex this week and is expected to leave her money and her three properties to her children.
Jade Goody's boyfriend has revealed that the couple are facing daily heartbreak due to his electronic tag.
Jack Tweed, 21, must comply with a strict curfew following his early release from prison, meaning that he must leave his partner's bedside each night.
Goody remains in hospital after being told that she has just months to live last week. She accepted a proposal from Tweed shortly after hearing the news from doctors.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Tweed explained: "I hate thinking of her going through all this by herself. But I can't change that. But she knows I love her and would be there if I could."
"It is hard to see the one you love so much look so ill, but it still feels the same when I kiss her, I still fancy her," he continued. "There's nothing different."
Tweed, who was jailed for assault in September, added that he would "rather do life in prison" than live without Goody.

Jade Goody has signed an exclusive £700,000 deal with OK! for the media rights to her wedding, it has emerged.
The ceremony will take place (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a147003/goody-to-wed-tweed-on-sunday.html) at Down Hall country house in Hatfield Heath, Hertfordshire, Sky News reports.
Associate editor of the magazine Philip Gould said: "There is a lot of interest in this wedding because Jade is such a popular person and I think people do want to be there on the day with us.
"So the best way that this can be achieved is by being in a magazine like OK!.
"All the money that Jade will get will go into a trust fund for her two boys."
He added that photographs of the wedding will feature in the publication next week, provided that Goody is well enough to walk (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a146963/goody-i-want-to-walk-down-the-aisle.html) down the aisle on Sunday.
Goody was also reported to have sent back her wedding dress to Harrods for some adjustments, including the addition of a pouch to keep her drugs in.
The Big Brother star's fiancé Jack Tweed said this week that he and Goody must part every night because of the electronic tag he has to wear since his early release (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a144720/goody-greets-tweed-on-jail-release.html) from prison.
Jade Goody is reportedly desperate for Girls Aloud to play at her wedding this weekend.
The reality TV star is said to be a big fan of the band and wants them to perform at her nuptials at Down Hall country house on Sunday.
"Jade has said that she would really like Girls Aloud to play her wedding," OK! associate editor Phil Gould told Sky News.
"She adores Girls Aloud and this would really make her big day if they would do it. There's phenomenal interest in Jade's wedding."
The magazine recently signed an exclusive £700,000 deal with Goody to secure the photo rights to the ceremony.
Boyfriend Jack Tweed proposed to the star on Valentine's day after she was told that her cancer was terminal.
Gordon Brown has praised Jade Goody's "determination" to provide for her family.
Speaking at his monthly news conference at Downing Street, the Prime Minister expressed his sympathy for the terminally ill reality star.
"It's very sad and indeed tragic that someone so young has got this deadly disease... and it's very sad indeed that the treatment that has been given has not been successful," he told reporters.
However, Brown praised Goody's "determination to help her family" by selling the rights to her wedding, adding: "[It] is something that we've got to applaud."
Goody, 27, has confirmed that she will marry her boyfriend Jack Tweed at Down Hall in Hertfordshire on Sunday.
OK! has paid £700,000 for the exclusive images of the ceremony, while Living TV has reportedly pledged £100,000 for the rights to broadcast the event on TV.
SUCKING a “lollipop” of painkillers, Jade Goody was wheeled from her cancer hospital to an ambulance yesterday — after the dying Big Brother star begged: “Please take me home.”
The brave bride-to-be — who has been given just weeks to live — declared: “I’ve had enough here. I want to see grass and rolling fields.”
Too frail to stand, she was taken by wheelchair from her room at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London’s Chelsea.
The 27-year-old, who plans to wed on Sunday, valiantly tried to walk to the ambulance but was too weak.
She had to be wheeled out and lifted inside — still hooked to a morphine drip.
Jade, who hid her bald head under a scarf, had earlier told a friend how she pined for the countryside around her Essex home. She said: “I’ve got a lovely view from my bedroom. I can get more ill here — or more ill there.”
The ambulance carefully took her the 20 miles to her house in Upshire.
Mum-of-two Jade — whose public battle with her disease has gripped the nation — smiled and managed a weak wave as she was lifted out.
She went home as PM Gordon Brown yesterday paid tribute to her, declaring: “The whole country will be worried and anxious about her health.”
His message came as Jade backed a campaign to have the age for cervical screening in England reduced from 25 to 20 — as it is in Scotland and Wales.
She said: “It’s important as many women as possible get checked.”
Jade is to wed after boyfriend Jack Tweed, 21 — wearing a tag after being freed early from his jail term for assault — popped the question on Friday.
Minutes earlier his tearful bride-to-be had been given the grim news her cervical cancer had spread and was inoperable.
Pals said Sunday’s wedding — which Jade was determined would not be held in the hospital chapel — was the “only thing keeping her going”.
The couple will tie the knot in front of 150 guests at Down Hall country manor in Hatfield Heath, Essex — where Jade has vowed to WALK down the aisle.
Jack said of his bride — whose hospital bed was yesterday transported to her home and installed in her bedroom: “She’ll be down that aisle — even in that hospital bed. I’ll wheel the hospital bed down there.”
A helicopter is on standby to whisk Jade back to her house for a celebration after the couple wed — although that party may have to be cancelled if she collapses.
Yesterday it emerged that as well as organising her wedding day using a laptop in hospital, Jade has been making plans for her own FUNERAL.
She wants Paolo Nutini’s heartbreaking track Last Request played. It is one of her and Jack’s favourite love songs.
Bravery ... Jade Goody tries to walk from hospital and, inset, her hospital bed is transported to her home
Poignant lines include: “Sure I can accept that we’re going nowhere, but one last time let’s go there. Lay down beside me.”
Yesterday Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty — victim of last year’s infamous Big Brother race row — revealed she and Jade chatted over the phone on Sunday.
Shilpa, 33, said Jade invited her to the wedding although she will be unable to make it.
She said: “In our conversation, she invited me to the funeral. It’s so heart-wrenching.”
Goodwill messages for Jade continued to pour in from thousands of Sun readers last night.
Yesterday Jack got news from his probation officer that his 7am to 7pm curfew is likely to be temporarily suspended for the wedding night.
That would allow the couple’s celebration party to be switched from Jade’s home to the wedding venue.
Jade wants Girls Aloud to sing at the bash. Nadine Coyle — due to fly to Los Angeles the next day — was last night desperately trying to rearrange the trip. A spokesman for her and bandmates Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh said: “They are keen to make it happen.”
Jade, who is being cared for at home by a Macmillan nurse, is expected to return to hospital after her wedding — which is set to net her almost £1million in exclusive deals.
She is using the time left to her to build up a legacy for sons Bobby, five, and Freddie, four.
A documentary about her illness goes out tonight on Living TV. In it, cancer-ravaged Jade describes “fighting for her femininity” as her wedding approaches.
Her PR guru Max Clifford yesterday said filming would stop with the wedding — and NOT record Jade’s death.
He insisted: “There will be no filming of Jade dying. It has not even been thought about — nor will it be.”
Girls Aloud are "desperately trying" to rearrange their schedule so that they can perform at Jade Goody's wedding on Sunday.
The girlband revealed that they are trying to postpone previous arrangements after learning that the Big Brother star wanted them to play at the ceremony.
"We have had contact from Jade's people about performing at her wedding and it's now in the hands of our management," Sarah Harding said.
"We are desperately trying to rearrange our schedule so we can do it. It's a very sad thing to have to discuss."
Band member Nadine Coyle was expected to return to Los Angeles this weekend, but is now reportedly trying to change her flight.
Goody has signed an exclusive deal with OK! magazine that will see her fetch £700,000 for the exclusive rights to photos of her tying the knot with boyfriend Jack Tweed.
The star was proposed to on Valentine's Day after being told that her cancer was terminal.

I am truly sorry for her and her family but no more please I am sick and tired of reading about this wedding and who is going and what it's costing - there are millions more dying of cancer in the country so I would rather think about those people that Jade - I don't mean this in a bad way, I am just sick and tired of it all now.

Shilpa Shetty has called on the public to pray for terminally ill Jade Goody.
The pair have reconciled after Goody was accused of bullying the Bollywood actress on the 2007 series of Celebrity Big Brother.
Shetty told ITV News that she was even asked to Goody's wedding to Jack Tweed on Sunday, although she is unable to attend as she will be filming in Bombay.
She said: "I buried the hatchet a very long time ago, not because I'd heard about her being diagnosed with cancer. I'd repeatedly told people my feelings and I really didn't want to have any ill feelings against her.
"It's really sad to know that her health is deteriorating and I really want people to forget the past and I really want them to pray and send her good wishes because that's something that will give her energy.
"I really want all the positive things to be affecting her at this point."
Goody, 27, was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August while appearing on the Indian version of Big Brother, which was hosted by Shetty. She has since been told that the cancer has spread and is now terminal.
"If I was in London I would definitely have been there to show her my solidarity," Shetty added.

i do sort of agree with what youre saying. although i feel sorry for jade and her family, i dont feel any more or any less sorry for her than i do for everyone else who is dying of cancer. as ive never really liked her i couldnt really care less about her wedding, if she wasnt dying i wouldnt care about her wedding so that hasnt changed just cos shes got cancer. however i can see why shes doing it and why its all over every paper etc
Jade is getting as much coverage in the nation newspapers as the lady round the corner from me at home did when she had terminal cancer. She had two young children, 6 and 8. Every week she was in the local paper fundraising or giving updates on her treatment. I see this no different.
Everybody copes differently with terminal illnesses. Some shout and scream and become depressed. Some decide to make the most of what they have left and do what the want, regardless of what other people think.
I've seen first hand what a parent with terminal cancer or other serious illness does to children. It's not nice to watch children suffer and know that the only thing that could possibly make things ok is something you can't give them.
Jade doing all these photo shoots with her children is just another way of her helping to keep her children's memory of a parent alive. When they grow up they may not wish to see their mum with no hair and looking ill, but at least they have something to keep forever, her last few photos. The way she looked before her death.
If Jade wants to sell her wedding pictures and secure her children's future, let her do so. Until you're in that situation, you're in no position to judge her. If you don't like what she's doing, don't read the articles.

Nah I agree with Abba fan. Yes she is dying of cancer. Like abba fan said... so are millions of people in the world... I have many relatives/family friends who have dies of cancer one who was 24.. had kids 3 and 6.. but she was too ill to do any fundraising or anything.. does that make her any less of a sufferer?... why should Jade Goody get millions from it.. I'm sure that millions that have been made from her articles etc.. could have gone to cancer research or something..
What's more important, giving all her money away to charity and letting her children have the upbringing she did or letting her children have the upbringing she would give them if she wasn't terminally ill?
At the end of the day, her children come before anything else.

Well I am drunk and don't care what I say at this point.
But my cousins (ones I was talking about, 3 and 6 when my cousin died of cancer).. well they've done pretty well.. without loads of money.
Money is overated imo.
But if you came from a really deprived background, had a junkie for a mother and had the childhood no child should ever have, wouldn't you want to make the best provisions you could for your children?
You may think money is overrated but to a person who had nothing growing up, to give their children a good education and a good start in life, money is everything.
Charity begins at home as they say, and good on Jade for trying to give her children something that she never had. This is the only way she can now give her children the upbringing that she wants them to have.

If it wasn't for Jade's cancer. In a few years she would have been nothing. And this story would be just for the local papers.
I'm sorry I may sound selfish or something..
But my cousin has nothing growing up.. no luxuries.. if i'm honest... before she was diagnosed the kids dad was a dealer... the kids have not much money now.. etc... but they are happy.. money can't buy you everything. It can buy you some things.. but that's not all that matters in the world - to me and my family. Would Michaela (my cousin) have been splashed all over the papers. NO. Because she wasn't in Big Brother like Jade or famous like Jade... We are not rich or anything... we don't have everything.. much like Jade's prbably did before she was famous... would they have been less off that what they are now because of her cancer... my feeling is no... most of us have jobs.. those with kids in particular... are they less off? Would they be less of if one parent died... no I doubt it..
So I don't care what anyone says... this is my opinion and my opinon only. Those kids don't need half the money they are going to be given when they're older.
And for those who may be thinking I'm hearless.. I am not, and I am very sorry Jade's got cancer and is dying.. I just don't agree with how she's going about it.
Jade Goody's fiance Jack Tweed has had his curfew conditions changed to allow him spend his wedding night with her, says the Ministry of Justice.
It follows reports reality TV star Goody, who has terminal cancer, may have to spend her wedding night alone because of his bail conditions.
Tweed is on curfew after being convicted of assault last year.
Justice Secretary Jack Straw said he had great sympathy for Goody who was facing her illness with courage.
The 27-year-old was diagnosed with cervical cancer while appearing on the Indian version of Big Brother in 2008. After undergoing chemotherapy and several surgical procedures, she was told in January that the disease had spread to her bowel, liver and groin.
She plans to marry Tweed, who was released early from an 18-month prison sentence last month, at a country house hotel in Hertfordshire.
The Daily Mirror reported he had had a plea to waive his bail conditions after the ceremony rejected.
But he will now be allowed to stay at the reception following his marriage to Goody until 3pm on the day after the wedding.
A Ministry of Justice spokesman said Justice Secretary Jack Straw had "enormous sympathy" for Goody and her family, adding: "She has shown extraordinary courage and our thoughts are with her."
It is not unusual for bail conditions to be varied on compassionate grounds, to allow people to attend weddings or funerals, the ministry says.
He is now no longer on the curfew and will not have to leave Jade now.
Sorry but he commited a crime. He served his sentence and now he's on parole. There's still terms to that, just because you're getting married doesn't mean you should have your curfew lifted. I'm sure there are thousands of men and women in this country who were on license when released and didn't get their curfew lifted because it would make their life easier :thumbsdow If he hadn't assaulted someone then he wouldn't be in this position now. His fault.
I think this happened more for Jade's benefit rather than making his life easier. But I agree with you, there are millions of other women around who are ill and their partners don't have their terms altered for personal reasons. It is only because she has always lived in the public eye since winning BB that she/Jack is getting this preferrential treatment.
Jade Goody is said to be "absolutely thrilled" with the government's decision to waive her fiancé's curfew for their wedding night this Sunday.
Justice Secretary Jack Straw has lifted the order on Jack Tweed, which states that he must return to his mother's home by 7pm every day.
Tweed has been under the order since his early release from Wayland Prison in Norfolk after he attacked a teenager with a golf club.
Straw said: "It is crucial that offenders are treated equally within the rules regardless of the publicity surrounding their case, but I was satisfied that it was reasonable to allow this."
A spokesman added: "Jack has enormous sympathy for Jade Goody and her family at this time. She is showing extraordinary courage and his thoughts are with her and her family."
Goody's publicist Max Clifford said the decision would give her a "dream finish" to her big day that would make a big difference to the occasion.
Earlier this week, Tweed spoke of his heartache of having to leave his partner to return home under his curfew order.

well i dont think its the government that needs to be thanked i think its this morning
so what is the story of this cancer...didnt she go for a smear
I don't think this should have been allowed myself; I would allow it when it's close to the end for Jade though. I just hope Jade doesn't have to die without Jack there in the middle of the night or something.
I completely agree, yes shes famous so her circumstances have been slightly different but she can use that to help provide for her family whch at the end of the day is what any mother would want to do
I'd be interested to know if that is the norm for this kind of situations. Because this isn't a unique case, its just got attention because she is famous. I hope everyone else would get the same treatment.
Curfews can be lifted temporarily for reasons such as the death or serious illness (in hospital) of a close friend or relative or if it's really important that the detainee attend something outside his curfew.
I should think each case will be addressed on it's own merits and it won't be a blanket decision that if you get married, the curfew gets lifted.
Jack Straw only stepped in because Jack's prison governor refused to lift the curfew.

She did go for a smear, the docs found her first pre-cancerous cells when she was 16 years old and treated her at the time so she's had this ticking timebomb for a while now.
Thats so scary to think about it like a timebomb

hope the wedding is going well today, hope she managed to walk down the isle liked she planned
Dying reality TV star Jade Goody married her fiance on Sunday in the latest installment of her very public fight with terminal cancer which has enchanted and unnerved the public in near equal measure.
Goody, 27, who found fame after appearing in the show "Big Brother" in 2002, wed fiance Jack Tweed in a lavish ceremony and reception at a country house hotel north of London, her publicist Max Clifford confirmed.
Their big day -- media rights for which sold for a reported one million pounds -- was organised in the nine days since Tweed proposed to her in hospital when her illess was diagnosed as terminal.
It was a "happy ceremony with lots of tears, lots of smiles, lots of laughter ... (a) very beautiful, very moving service," Clifford said. He added that the bride had taken painkillers to get her through the day.
Goody has defended her decision to live out in the public eye what will likely be her last weeks, saying the money she earned would help provide for her two young sons, aged five and four.
"I've lived in front of the cameras. And maybe I'll die in front of them," the star, who has lost her hair after chemotherapy for cervical cancer, told last week's News of the World newspaper.
"I know some people don't like what I'm doing, but at this point I really don't care what other people think. Now, it's about what I want."
Goody's approach has prompted an agonised debate in Britain about the rights and wrongs of such a public death.
Some commentators admire her fortitude and determination to protect her children.
Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor, the leader of Catholics in England and Wales, told Sky News: "A lot of people say: 'Well, it's better if she did everything in quiet.'
"But I think she's made a decision that she wants the last months of her life to teach people something."
Others, though, see something ghoulish in the volume of newsprint devoted to her in recent days.
"There are precedents for the place that Jade Goody occupies in modern British life -- people once used to queue at fairgrounds to watch human freaks," the Guardian said in an editorial on Tuesday.
"But her fame really is a story of our own media age".
Even Prime Minister Gordon Brown has described Goody's plight as a "tragedy", adding: "Everyone who suffers cancer has the thoughts of me, and I think the whole country, over what they've got to go through."
Exceptionally, Justice Secretary Jack Straw also stepped in to ensure that Tweed, 21 -- freed from jail last month after attacking a teenager with a golf club -- can spend his wedding night with Goody, despite it breaching his bail terms.
Goody's rise to fame underlines the huge popularity that reality television shows have built up in Britain in the last decade.
On her first "Big Brother" appearance, the ex-dental nurse from south London came fourth and was best known for her loud mouth and lack of general knowledge, referring to East Anglia, an area of England, as "East Angular".
She later released an autobiography and her own perfume before returning as a contestant on "Celebrity Big Brother" in 2007.
This saw her spend weeks being filmed in a house with contestants including Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, who she referred to as "Shilpa Poppadom", sparking a major race row in Britain and India.
Goody's career subsequently nose-dived. Last year, she appeared in the Indian version of "Big Brother" -- "Bigg Boss" -- but pulled out after being diagnosed with cancer.
Shetty has said she is "sad" about the news, telling ITV on Thursday: "I really want people to forget the past and I really want them to pray and send her good wishes because that's something that will give her energy."

Cancer-stricken Jade Goody has married her partner Jack Tweed in a "bittersweet" ceremony surrounded by family and friends.
The couple tied the knot at the Down Hall Country House Hotel in Hertfordshire just eight days after Tweed's Valentine's Day proposal.
The terminally ill Big Brother star's wedding was held behind closed doors as part of an exclusive magazine deal with OK!.
Speaking outside the hotel, Goody's publicist Max Clifford announced: "They are now man and wife."
According to The Guardian, Clifford said the 27-year-old was able to stand for most of the 45-minute ceremony, but had to sit down for the last five minutes.
The couple were expected to release white doves after the ceremony as an expression of their love for each other, followed by speeches, a meal and a performance by the Sugababes.
The newlyweds will then spend the night together after Justice Secretary Jack Straw decided to temporarily waive Tweed's curfew, imposed after a jail sentence for assaulting a 16-year-old boy.

How do you know it was down to This Morning? I'd hope that the gov wouldn't just do something because of what a television prog's views were on a matter...
I have heard of others having their curfews waived for exceptional circumstances also so I wouldn't say it's down to This Morning. Plus he has had his curfew brought forward by four hours today.
DYING Jade Goody wed her sweetheart Jack Tweed yesterday — hours after telling him: “Find another when I’m gone.”
The 27-year-old mum, given just weeks to live with terminal cancer, defied her pain to tie the knot in Hatfield Heath, Essex.
A family friend said: “She’s told Jack she wants him to be happy.”
And brave Jade moved wedding guests to tears as she stood to deliver a 30-minute speech — and admitted: “I’m praying for a miracle.”
The cancer-stricken Big Brother favourite added: “I hope we can come back here in a few years’ time. I never want to leave any of you.”
Jade spoke out after tying the knot with sweetheart Jack in an emotional country hotel ceremony. An insider said the 27-year-old, who summoned the strength to walk down the aisle unaided, addressed nearly 200 guests in a marquee after the service.
He said: “She was on her feet for half an hour talking. She really did herself proud and she looked beautiful. She thanked everyone in her speech and said she was praying for a miracle, as we all are.”
Jade told guests: “I’m just so very happy.” Earlier she displayed her familiar feisty style as she jokingly harangued Jack during the ceremony — ordering him to look at her as they swapped vows.
She also drew laughter with a string of off-the-cuff quips.
The mum of two, who suffered a scare when she fell ill the night before, defied her terminal disease to stand beside smart-suited Jack for most of the 45-minute service.
He had earlier played a gag by leaving his Essex home clad only in frilly knickers and a BRA, showing off the leg tag attached following his recent release from prison.
Beaming Jade — in a £3,500 Manuel Mota ivory dress — refused to cover her bald head, a legacy of months of chemotherapy.
At one point she began sobbing and was handed a tissue by a bridesmaid. She finally requested a chair five minutes from the end.
Earlier, she and 21-year-old Jack swapped vows with Jade’s sons — Bobby, five, and four-year-old Freddie — sitting on their knees.
The youngsters, from a previous relationship, carried Jade’s train down the aisle before she signed the marriage register as Mrs Tweed. The newlyweds received a standing ovation from guests.
As the marriage was confirmed, doves were released into the sky above 14th-century Down Hall Country House Hotel in Hatfield Heath, Essex.
During the ceremony a plane streaked over, flying a banner featuring the couple’s names and a loveheart. They were due to stay in the hotel’s pink bridal suite. But Jade’s ill health saw her book a more accessible ground-floor room. The star’s hospital bed was transferred there with a morphine drip.
Part-time model Jack had proposed barely a week earlier after doctors told Jade they could no longer cure her cancer.
He arrived at the hotel with Jade’s sons just before 10am in a blue Rolls-Royce. Jade, who was helicoptered in on Saturday, kept him waiting for about 45 minutes.
She was given away by proud grandfather John Caddock, 70 — and later started crying when Jack told guests, “Look at my beautiful wife”, before telling her: “I’m proud to say I’m your husband.”
Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford said: “The chapel was beautiful and it was a very moving service.
“Jade looked lovely. She didn’t want to wear a wig. She was bald and proud. The ceremony had lots of tears, smiles and laughter.
“Jade was just herself. She was telling Jack, ‘You’re not looking at me Jack, make sure you’re looking at me.’ And of course he was.
“They said their vows with the children on their knees. Some of Jade’s ad-libs were hilarious.
“She would have been in a lot of pain but for the measures put in place. It’s a huge relief she was able to handle it as she did.”
Mr Clifford said the pair were “thrilled” to spend their wedding night together, adding: “It might be the only one they have. There won’t be a honeymoon as Jade’s too ill.” He told how Jade, who posed on Saturday with pals wearing caps to mimic her bald head, courageously stood for her speech.
He said: “She was on her feet for half an hour talking. She thanked everyone, but also said she was praying for a miracle.”
Guests including TV host Nick Ross, chef Aldo Zilli, pop star Antony Costa and easyJet boss Stelios moved into the white marquee to celebrate the wedding.
They were entertained by a DJ and chart queens Sugababes. Guests were treated to jellied eels, fish and chips and pie and mash. Fireworks lit the sky at 9.30pm.
The music stopped at midnight but celebrations continued. The wedding was top-security after rights were sold for £750,000.
Jade has admitted she is raising as much as she can for her lads. A pal said: “It was Jade’s dying wish to marry Jack. But she’s so selfless and wants him to be happy. She’s told him he should see other people when he feels the time is right.”
Jade Goody has said that she is ready to die and go to heaven now that she has married her husband Jack Tweed.
The Big Brother star wed Tweed at Down Hall Country House on Sunday, just over a week after becoming engaged on Valentine's Day.
Goody told OK!: "I've had the happiest day of my life, now I'm ready to go to heaven."
The day after the wedding, a family friend told The Sun: "She could not get out of bed. She doesn't mind though. She had her dream wedding day and was the happiest bride in the world."
Her publicist Max Clifford added: "She was emotional and exhausted. It is possible she and Jack have just spent their only night together."
Goody's mother Jackiey Budden agreed that the wedding day was "fantastic" but said it had worn out her daughter.
The reality TV star recently said that, despite her marriage, she still wants to be remembered as "Jade Goody", with that name inscribed on her headstone.
I suppose she would always be remembered as Jade Goody anyway, whatever married name she might have taken on.
Jade Goody has revealed that she asked doctors to kill her when her cancer was revealed to be terminal.
The Big Brother star made the comments to OK! after her wedding to Jack Tweed on Sunday.
Goody said: "I said to my doctors, 'I just want to go now, just give me an injection or a tablet. Just let me go and let my kids get on with their lives'."
The magazine, which had bought exclusive rights to cover the wedding, also revealed that the couple's first dance after the ceremony was to Aerosmith's 1998 single 'I Don't Want To Miss A Thing'.
Earlier this month, Goody said that she wants her new husband to move on and eventually see other people after she passes away.
This must all be so difficult to cope with
God it must be horibble I cnat imagine what it must be like to know your gonna die
Jack Tweed was "in the doghouse" on his wedding night after continuing his celebrations until the early hours, according to a report.
The Mirror claims that the 21-year-old partied until 2.30am, while his new wife Jade Goody decided to go to bed alone at 10.30pm.
At one point, Tweed reportedly "tore around" the couple's hotel with Goody's two sons, Bobby, five, and Freddy, four.
A source told the newspaper: "Jack was pretty much on the floor by the end of the night. He was in the doghouse when Jade woke up and came out of her room in her pyjamas looking for him."
Terminally-ill Goody tied the knot with Tweed at the Down Hall country hotel in Essex on Sunday.
Doctors recently told the reality star that she has just months to live.
If this is true, it is shocking behaviour by Tweed and I am sure that his curfew was not lifted for him to party on after his bride went to bed.

This is all she knows, reality TV and if she can still make money for her kids due to this then fair play to her.. it is what she wants

Jade Goody's wedding will air on Living on March 11 and 12.
The reality star married long-term lover Jack Tweed on Sunday. Kate Jackson, who was one of Goody's bridesmaids, filmed the ceremony for Living.
The terminally ill Big Brother star's wedding was held behind closed doors as part of an exclusive magazine deal with OK!
Jade's wedding will air in two parts next month. The first broadcast will follow Jade as she prepares to marry Jack, while the second show will feature the wedding itself.
The first show is due to air on Wednesday, March 11, with the wedding following on March 12.

Their father has got custody.
Thanks, Abigail. I take it that they are living with their dad already because Jade is not able to take care of them. Has he always had custody or only since she became ill?
I think they had joint custody of them but they always lived with Jade. I remember an interview where she said that she was concerned that Jeff wouldn't be able to cope with the kids on his own doing the school run, cooking meals, washing etc but her mum would be on hand to help.
Thanks hun. Can't believe that some people believe that Jade is faking her illness to make money

Jade Goody has revealed that she no longer bears any grudges because there is "no point" when she is battling terminal cancer.
The reality TV star told OK! that she is not embarrassed or ashamed of what she has done in her life.
Goody said: "I've got no grudges anymore. When you're going through something like this, there's just no point.
"I bet if Jordan was in my position even she would stop hating the people she hates. You just don't have room to hate anymore, not when you don't have long left to live.
"I am so scared and so, so sorry to be leaving so many people I love behind."

i thought i read somewhere that jade wanted jeff, her mum and jack to share custody of them?
JADE Goody’s husband begged probation chiefs to take off his tag yesterday — so he can be at her side for her final hours.
Jack Tweed, 21, asked for his curfew to be lifted until she dies, telling them: “She’s my wife and she needs me.”
He is anxiously waiting for their decision after making his case at the pre-arranged meeting.
Jack said he was “feeling hopeful” as he arrived to ask for a suspended tag at the probation offices in Harlow, Essex.
After leaving, he said: “Hopefully they will relax the tag to let me be with Jade. She’s my wife and she needs me by her side.”
Jack has a 7pm curfew as part of his early release from an 18-month jail sentence for assaulting a teenager with a golf club.
Every night he must leave his wife’s bedside to go to his mum Mary’s house in Buckhurst Hill.
It is a twenty-minute drive from Jade’s home in Upshire — time that could be crucial if she has a seizure or stops breathing.
Jack has been left “heartbroken” at having to leave her.
The daily goodbyes are said to upset the whole family and he has told probation officers it causes her extreme distress.
A friend said: “Not having her husband with her is causing added upset to Jade.
“She becomes tearful when it starts getting close to the time when Jack has to leave.
“He said he will break the curfew if she starts slipping away — but she doesn’t want him to end up back in prison.
“It is a constant stress which she doesn’t need.
“They have had such a short time together as man and wife. It would be heartbreaking if they were denied this final time together.”
Jade’s spokesman said the former Big Brother star, 27, understood Jack’s bail terms.
He said: “They have put a few feelers out but they are not really expecting anything.
“They are exploring possibilities. Both Jade and Jack were chuffed they got to spend their wedding night together.
“We are not taking liberties. We don’t want to push it and we understand the deal — but it would be wonderful if something could be done.
“Jade would obviously love to have her husband by her side at the moment.”
Yesterday Jack went straight to Jade’s house after making his case alone to officials.
Dressed in jeans and a green jacket, his mum dropped him off just before 3pm.
Ten minutes later he left the £750,000 barn conversion in a silver Mercedes to pick up her sons Bobby, five, and Freddie, four, from school.
He returned with the boys, carrying their green book bags.
Jack was with Jade’s close friend and personal trainer Kevin Adams, who had walked her sons to school earlier.
Exhausted Jade — who has been told she could have weeks to live — did not go to hospital yesterday.
Doctors from London’s Royal Marsden Hospital visited her bedside.
Her spokesman said: “They are trying to make her as comfortable as possible and they are making sure she has everything she needs.”
He added: “She has been sleeping a lot. She is still recovering from her wedding on Sunday, which is understandable. She is relaxing.”
Jade is being cared for around the clock by a team of Macmillan nurses.
Her mum Jackiey Budden is also living at the house, helping to care for the boys.
A christening Jade planned for them has been postponed.
The low-key ceremony — for about 50 close friends and family — is now expected to take place on Saturday March 7.
Her spokesman said: “Saturday is just a better day for everyone.
“She wants it to be a big party for the boys — a real huge celebration for them.”
I know she is dying but he should abide by the terms of his bail. I'll be pretty annoyed if the parole board remove his tag. Just because it's a high profile case doesn't mean he should get what he wants. The curfew was lifted for the wedding, that's enough.
By all means extend the curfew a few hours but he shouldn't have his tag removed.
It doesn't sound like he was 'by her side' on his wedding night when he had the curfew lifted last week.....

Exactly what I was thinking

i dont think he should have the tag removed completely cos then he could go out and do whatever he wants. if it does get changed, it should be that hes either at his mums house or with jade by 7pm imo

How long does he have to wear the tag for? Is it for the remainder of the 18 months sentence? You can understand he wants to be with Jade as her condition deterioates but why not transfer the curfew to Jade's house so he can be with her every night and still be indoor for 7pm.
I was thinking that, now he is married it should not really be a problem to transfer his curfew conditions from his mums to Jade's place. Anybody on here legally knowledgeable to answer this?
Jade Goody was reportedly "too ill" for a hospital visit with cancer specialists yesterday.
The former Big Brother contestant cancelled her appointment after claiming that she was too exhausted following her wedding last weekend.
"She knew this was going to happen and that she would be this tired and ill. It was the price she was always going to pay for putting so much into Sunday's ceremony," a source told The Mirror.
"She feels terrible but wouldn't change a thing. She is still on a high and thrilled with the memories of her wedding. It was such a perfect day, she is more than happy to suffer for it now. We're just hoping she'll bounce back."
Doctors visited the star at her Essex home and a bed has reportedly been placed in her dining room so she can have regular morphine injections.
"The doctors came to her and made sure everything possible was being done to keep on top of the pain. I am sure she will recover, Jade being Jade," her publicist Max Clifford said.
"She showed how resilient she was at her wedding and she'll do the same again. She just needs a few days' rest and I'm sure she'll be better by the end of the week."
Goody's husband Jack Tweed yesterday asked probation officers to relax his curfew so he could spend more evenings with his wife.
I am sure she will want to be well enough for her son's christening next month, so hopefully she will be able to rest up until then.

i think he should be allowed to be there for her and by the sounds of it im the only one who thinks that,
it cant be good for jade to have to say goodbye to jack everyday and must cause a lot of distress
Kirsty :]
26-02-2009, 20:06
While I agree it would be distressing for Jade, I'm sure there are many many other people probably in this same situation, I'm in agreement with everyone else who has said that yeah, fair enough for the wedding, but he went out partying and left Jade alone anyways (apparently), I agree it must be difficult but I don't beleive in one rule for one and not the other, plus it's Jacks own fault, if he had not commited the crime in the first place he wouldn't have to wear a tag, but I do really feel for Jade, but I don't feel for him, and I believe he is slowly turning himself into the victim with all the tag business.

26-02-2009, 20:08
Like Kirsty said, they wouldn't be in this situation now and Jade wouldn't be so distressed if Jack learnt how to abide by the law in the first place  it's his own fault.
Jade' story has been mentioned on E News - she is making headlines in the US also
I think she's making headlines all over the world.
Kirsty, that's what I was trying to say too. Couldn't quite find the words. I don't doubt that there are many spouses in similar situations up and down the country but they just get on with it.
I think in her last 24-48hrs (i.e. the very end) he should be by her side but she's still got two months to go until that stage (hopefully).
Why do I get the feeling that Jack is trying to carve a name for himself in the public eye? Lots of press releases recently have been about him, making out he's a victim of the parole board and he's not being treated with enough compassion. It shouldn't be about Jack, the public aren't interested in him.
The parole board are damned if they do and damned if they don't. All this media pressure may force their hand, either way people won't be happy.
JACK Tweed is to have his tag removed to be with bride Jade Goody when she dies — as a reward for behaving at their wedding.
The tragic Big Brother star’s paroled hubby will have his curfew suspended like it was on their wedding night, a senior Justice Ministry source revealed yesterday.
Plans drawn up for when Jade, 27, finally succumbs to the cancer that is killing her will see the tag taken off so he can race to her deathbed without alarms going off.
The source confirmed to The Sun that Jack’s behaviour at Sunday’s wedding was a “factor” — adding: “He did not abuse the relaxation of the tagging and the curfew.
“This contrasts with Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who was let out on a tag and then behaved so badly he ended up back inside.
Jack, 21, was crushed yesterday after being told his pleas for the tag to be removed had been vetoed by probation officials.
The ex-lag — out of jail after a sentence for assault — has to wear it to check he abides by his curfew.
From 7pm to 7am he must stay at his mum’s — 20 minutes’ drive from his new wife’s £750,000 converted barn in Upshire, Essex.
The Sun’s source stressed Jack was not getting special treatment — insisting: “There is no question of removing the tag indefinitely now and dropping the curfew conditions.
“But we are planning for the eventuality of Jade’s death. When we have medical evidence this is imminent the tag will be removed — but only for a very limited period.”
Jack will be free of it for only a “matter of days” on compassionate grounds.
Mum-of-two Jade — ravaged by cervical cancer and on a morphine drip at home — has just weeks to live at most.
A pal of Tweed’s teenage victim Daniel Steele, who was furious at the curfew being eased for his attacker’s wedding, said: “To be at Jade’s bedside when she passes away is an entirely different request. He has no grudge against her.”
Daniel, who was beaten with a golf club, said: “I do not wish cancer on anyone.”
Yesterday Jack helped out on the school run for Jade’s sons Bobby, five, and Freddie, four.
Jade is planning their christening the weekend after next.
Her spokesman said: “She is still very weak and tired, a bit better today than yesterday — although she is not in a good place.”
Wendy Richard sent a hearbreak final message of hope to her cancer stricken friend Jade Goody.
Shortly before she died, the actress phoned the Big Brother star to congratulate her on her wedding and wish her luck.
Jade was devastated yesterday by news of Wendy’s death.
The pair developed a close bond when both were told they were terminally ill with cancer.
Clifford said: “Wendy was extremely kind. She knew exactly what Jade was going through and went out of her way to get in touch when her cancer was diagnosed.
“She said: ‘Stay strong, I’m thinking of you, we’re in the same boat’. Wendy encouraged Jade not to give up. Jade told me she was supportive and lovely.” Like Jade, Wendy married her long-term love, John Burns, after diagnosis.
Mother-of-two Jade, 27, got her dream wedding to boyfriend Jack Tweed, 21 last Sunday.
Wendy was too ill to attend. Instead, she called Jade last week to congratulate her.
Mr Clifford added: “Wendy phoned and sent lots of love.
“She said she would have loved to have been there but was too sick. She told Jade she would be thinking of her.”
Weak Jade, said to be in great pain yesterday after the exertions of the ceremony, was trying her best to stay positive for the sake of her sons. She has decided to be Christened alongside Bobby-Jack, five, and Freddy, four, on March 7.
Mr Clifford added: “Jade takes solace in the idea that she will go to heaven and have a close link with the boys.”

The newlyweds will then spend the night together after Justice Secretary Jack Straw decided to temporarily waive Tweed's curfew, imposed after a jail sentence for assaulting a 16-year-old boy.yeah but jack straw wasnt going to until this morning stepped in
How do you know it was down to This Morning? I'd hope that the gov wouldn't just do something because of what a television prog's views were on a matter...
because they interviewed someone close to jade and said that jack straw was not budging so Eamon said he will see what this morning can do he also daid that jack straw was out of order.... he said this on public telly probably to humiliate hi!m anyway after that jade and jack got what she wanted...so thats why i said it was down to this morning
The Sugababes have given their support to the 'Jade's Legacy' campaign.
The girl group, who performed at Goody's wedding on Sunday, have signed a petition to lower the screening age for cervical cancer in England from 25 to 20.
54,000 people have already put their signatures to the campaign, which was initiated by The Sun.
"Her story shows how important it is to attend," band member Heidi Range, 25, told the newspaper.
Meanwhile, Keisha Buchanan admitted that hearing of the former Big Brother star's ordeal had made her book her first smear test.
Jade Goody was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August 2008 and has been given months to live after doctors told her the disease was terminal.
I'm sure I read recently that Jack Tweed is due in Court again next week facing another assault charge - this one I think was on a taxi driver. Does anyone know anymore about this cos I can't find any details about it anywhere?

Terminally ill Jade Goody has gone into a hospice where she is expected to stay over the weekend, her publicist has confirmed.
The reality TV star is having her cancer medication adjusted after she suffered from hallucinations, Max Clifford said.
"She was all over the place and imagining all kinds of things," he told Sky News.
"Those who were there were saying it was absolutely awful.
"So we explained to the nurses what had happened and they thought the best thing to do was to get her into the hospice for two or three days."
Mr Clifford stressed that Jade, 27, has not gone to St Clare Hospice, near Harlow, to die.
He said she has been exhausted since her "dream wedding" to Jack Tweed last Sunday at Down Hall County Hotel in Hertfordshire.
"Every day, she has been a little bit better," he said.
"But yesterday she had a real turn for the worse because of the mixture of drugs she was on."
Jade vowed to earn as much money as she could to secure her two sons' future after being told her cervical cancer had spread and was terminal.
She is believed to have earned around £1m for the television and magazine coverage of her wedding and her boys' christening, which will take place on March 7.
The St Clare Hospice cares for people who have illnesses such as cancer, neurological disease or organ failure.
Friends of Jade Goody have organised a walk to support the dying star and raise money for her two sons.
Jade Goody has reportedly revealed that she has just one month left to live.
The terminally-ill reality star is believed to have let her prognosis slip during an argument with a neighbour outside her home in Upshire, Essex yesterday.
Goody rowed with the male resident as she left her property to enter a hospice for the weekend, reports claim. It is believed that the dispute centred around a shared gate.
The former Big Brother contestant apparently screamed: "Chill out - I'm gonna be dead in a month."
A source told The Sun: "This man shouted something and she went mad and started screaming at him. He and Jade share a gate that he often has to go and close after people have left her house."
Goody's spokesman Max Clifford confirmed that the star does not have much time left, explaining: "She knows it is just weeks. No one can say when exactly. She is being very brave."
The 27-year-old was diagnosed with cancer in August last year. She was told that the disease is terminal earlier this month.

Everytime I read a report about Jade's condition my heart fills. This neighbour is going to be giving so much grief over a trival thing, can't the media give her a break and let her live her last few weeks without any trouble and stll provide for her children.
Jade Goody's spokesman has played down reports that her husband's curfew will be lifted for a second time.
Jack Tweed, 21, is currently being monitored by an electronic tag and must return to his mother's home by 7pm each night. He agreed to the strict conditions before being granted early release from jail last month.
Yesterday, it was claimed that Tweed would be permitted to stay at Goody's bedside during the final hours of her life, bypassing the usual restrictions.
However, speaking to the Daily Star, Max Clifford insisted: "We don't know anything about this. It is a lovely thought but we are none the wiser. He wants to spend as much time as he can with Jade but he understands the conditions."
Justice Secretary Jack Straw agreed to lift Tweed's curfew for his wedding night last weekend.
Goody, who is dying of cancer, recently revealed that she has just one month left to live.
Jade Goody is trying to bring the christening of her sons forward because she fears she has just days to live.
The terminally ill 27-year-old was taken to a hospice on Friday and told friends she was "not going to make it to the weekend", reports the Sunday Mirror.
A friend said: "The courage Jade is showing really beggars belief. She's been in utter pain and at times is extremely anxious- yet she's being typically selfless and can only think about what's right for her boys."
The christening was due to take place next weekend and is expected to be carried out by Bishop Jonathan Blake, who blessed Goody and husband Jack Tweed's wedding last weekend.
Goody, who is determined to die at home and hopes to leave the hospice on Monday, has also received a handwritten note from David and Victoria Beckham and two AC Milan football strips for her sons.
The note read: 'Both David and I are genuinely moved by your fight against this cruel illness. We are both thinking of you at what must be a terrible time."
This is heartbreaking, going from two months to live, to a month, then days in the space of a few weeks. It must take a lot of strength to get through the day know that you could die during the night.
Jade Goody has been transferred to hospital for surgery to relieve her "awful pain", publicist Max Clifford has confirmed.
The star was due to end her weekend stay at Harlow's St Clare Hospice tomorrow but has instead been moved to the Royal Marsden Hospital in Fulham for an emergency operation.
"She has a great deal of pain from her tummy and they don't seem to be able to get it under control," said Clifford. "She is going back to the Marsden. There's likely to be further surgery tonight or tomorrow."
Clifford added that he had received a "very emotional" phone call from Goody, who is keen to return home. "She's very frightened. She was sobbing on the phone to me. She said: 'Why can't they get me out of all this pain?' Hopefully that's what they're going to do."
Earlier today it was claimed that Goody fears she now only has "days" left to live.

I'm sure I read recently that Jack Tweed is due in Court again next week facing another assault charge - this one I think was on a taxi driver. Does anyone know anymore about this cos I can't find any details about it anywhere?
JADE Goody's new husband Jack Tweed is due in court today to face an assault charge.
The hearing at Harlow Magistrates, Essex — expected to last two days — is over an alleged incident involving a taxi driver.
Part-time model Jack, 21, is said to have beaten up cabbie Stephen Wilkins outside Club 195 in Epping last May.
Jack, of Buckhurst Hill, Essex, denies the allegation but if found guilty he faces a further six-month prison term.
He is currently tagged and on a strict curfew as part of his early release conditions, after being sentenced to 18 months last September for attacking a 16-year-old youth with a golf club.
From The Sun
Jack Tweed, the husband of the terminally ill reality television star Jade Goody attacked a taxi driver and threatened to stab him, a court heard.
Prosecutors told magistrates in Epping, Essex, that Tweed, 21, of Buckhurst Hill, Essex, lost his temper after leaving a club in Epping in May last year.
They said he grabbed the driver around the neck while the car was moving and swore at him.
Taxi driver Stephen Wilkins told magistrates that Tweed and three other people climbed into his cab at around 3.30am on May 5 last year.
Mr Wilkins said he told the group that it was illegal for him to carry four people in the rear seat.
"Their response was 'just drive'," said Mr Wilkins. "We carried on driving."
He then said he asked the group to pay the fare "upfront" in line with his firm's policies.
"I asked for the fare upfront. I was told to 'just drive'," said Mr Wilkins.
Mr Wilkins said he explained that if the fare was not paid, he would have to return to Epping.
"The one sitting directly behind. He said 'just ********** drive, you c***,"' said Mr Wilkins.
"Very aggressive. That is when I actually thought to myself this is getting a little bit threatening now. That is when I decided I was going to turn around. I actually did a U-turn."
He added: "I carried on driving back towards Epping.
"The guy behind me started screaming 'where are you ********** going?'
"I said 'back to Epping'.
"He said 'turning the ********** car around', and grabbed me from behind.
"He got hold of me with his arm. Pulled his arm around my neck and held it against the headrest.
"He was leaning over me, over the back seat, with his face alongside my face screaming, 'I will stab you, you ********** c***.
"He leant forward and yanked the handbrake up.
"He was screaming in my face. He was so, so aggressive."
The prosecution allege it was Tweed who swore and carried out the attack. Tweed denies assault.
From Daily Telegraph
Charming people he mixes with if it really was not him
Max Clifford has said that he is continuing to speak about Jade Goody because the public "want to know".
Goody's agent insisted that the reality TV star has only conducted four interviews in recent weeks and is still comfortable with the press coverage of her battle with cancer.
"What you have to remember is that Jade has only done four interviews in the last month, so that's one day," he told This Morning. "All the rest is being handled by myself.
"But now of course her story is being reached all over the world. I have people calling me daily wanting an update, this doesn't effect Jade at all, and I always do my best to help them.
"The public do want to know about her... television chatshows still want to interview her - Oprah Winfrey, Larry King, and obviously ITV want to do an interview... but things will only take place if and when Jade wants them to."
Goody was transferred to Royal Marsden Hospital in Fulham at the weekend.
Speaking about the move, Clifford said: "She was sobbing and in agony saying to me, 'What can I do? I can't take any more of this...' So it was decided that she went back to the Marsden Hospital.
"I'm glad to say she has had a more restful night last night... The most important thing is to get her out of this horrendous pain."
Maybe she should stay out of the lime light now and rest as much as possible. I for one need not know any more about her.

My heart really goes out to her. She is being so brave.
I'm torn about the whole Jade thing, i mean obviously my heart goes out to her and her family, she is being incredibly brave, and i do respect her for getting as much for her sons as she can, and i get the fact that she has grown up in front of the camera and wishes to continue that, and I heard Max Clifford this morning on GMTV saying that he actually deals with everything - not Jade, if she wants to do an interview she will, but she isn't doing what she doesn't want too, so he's the one confirming reports etc, but i do think the reporting and stuff should calm down, and just give her a bit of peace - i know the public what to know how she's doing but i dont want to hear about it every 5 seconds.
There are lots of people going through what she is; cervical cancer and cancer in general - and some are alot more worse off, and i know she is doing it (publicity) for her sons and to raise awareness about it - but i do think its to much, sometimes it seems like she is the only one going through this - when there are actually people a lot worse off than her, i mean she has got a great support system.
Not having a dig - but they are my views, i do applaud her bravery and do wish her all the best.
I wonder if Jade is donating any money she is raising to the cancer charity whose nurses are so dedicated at looking after her? I am sure her boys are financially secure now to set them up in life with a good education etc. so surely there is some cash spare for her carers.
Jade Goody's cancer has spread throughout her body to her brain, it has emerged.
The reality TV star was originally diagnosed with cervical cancer, which then spread to her liver, groin and bowel before being diagnosed as terminal.
Goody underwent surgery last night to fix a blockage following hours of tests at the hospital's oncology unit.
Her publicist Max Clifford told The Sun that if the procedure was successful that it would dramatically improve her quality of life, increase her mobility and allow her to spend time with her children.
A family friend said: "Jade was told while in a hospice at the weekend that the cancer was travelling freely in her blood and had spread to her brain.
"This is, of course, awful but not unexpected. She has already been told the disease is terminal.
"But by understanding how it is travelling in her body, the doctors have a chance of giving her the right medication to control the pain.
"This hasn't shortened her life expectancy, which remains at weeks. But of course it is another extremely painful reminder of what lies ahead."
The friend added that Goody wants to go home but will wait until she has the correct medication to make her condition bearable, because she does not want to upset her children.
lets hope they can make her as comfortable as possible :(

i think once it goes to the brain thats it....your doomed
I know everyone is going on about how she should not just concentrate on the kids etc.. but I am interested in this.. we hear so many people dying of cancer but we don't know what they go through, what the doctors do to make it as easy as possible.. plus this has increased the number of women going for smear tests and it has sparked a free nationwide cervial testing in Ireland...
That is good news, Siobhan. The problem I can see is that once Jade is no longer in the news, will women forget? Will the free testing cease because women are not making use of it? I hope not.

well they cancelled the cancer jabs in Ireland so the free testing is hugely popular now... everyone is going for them cause they are scared what happened to jade will happen to them

If its in her brain then sadly I don't think Jade will have long, which is very sad. The positive outcome of this terrible disease is that it has encouraged more women to get tested early.
Dying reality TV star Jade Goody's husband Jack Tweed has been found guilty of assaultin21, was found guilty of common assault at Epping Magistrates' Court in Essex.
Tweed, 21, was found guilty of common assault at Epping Magistrates' Court in Essex.
Sky News reporter Alistair Bunkall said: "This verdict is another sorry and sad twist in story involving Jade Goody."
He said Tweed had not been sentenced yet for the incident, which occurred during a taxi journey in the early hours of last year's May bank holiday.
Then Jade's boyfriend, Tweed had boarded the cab with friends after leaving a club in Epping.
The driver, Steven Wilkins requested payment up front, which was company policy, sparking a mid-journey row.
The court heard Tweed refused to pay the fare and "became aggressive, swearing at Mr Wilkins and punching the back of the seat".
Mr Wilkins told the court he was even forced into doing a half turn in the middle of the, fortunately empty, road.
Tweed said he was too drunk to remember what went on, but insisted he would never assault a taxi driver, a claim supported by one of the party on board the taxi.
The judge disagreed with their version of events, siding with Mr Wilkins.
That is all Jade needs at this time of her life
Jack, it seems, is nothing but a common thug.

I can't imagine what this news will due to Jade's mental health. As its been said already her husband appears to be no more than a thug. How he thought he could have some custody/visitation rights of Jade's children is beyond me, he just isn't mature enough.
So sorry Jade, keep on fighting, we are all thinking of you.
Katie Price has revealed that she wants to say goodbye to Jade Goody in private when she returns to England from Los Angeles.
She told The Sun that Goody's situation was "tragic" and said it was the first time such a high profile young person had been struck by terminal cancer.
Price said: "When I come back the first thing I’m going to do is go to Jade's and say my goodbyes.
"I've had to do it before with someone else and I know it's hard - but it's something I really want to do, in private, away from the cameras. That's if she's well enough to see me.
"I don't know what I’ll say yet but whatever it is will be between me and her. I do really want to do this one thing for her because it's just so awful."
Price added that Goody was a friend of hers and that she would drive to Essex herself to see her.
Price had previously criticised Goody for her decision to give interviews on the subject of her cancer.

I don't think Jeff the father to Jade's kids will let Jack Tweed within 20 miles of their sons when Jade does pass away. He should be doing everything to make Jade life more peaceful not adding more stress to it. I'm surprised Jade's mum Jackie has kept quiet as I don't think she likes Jack but she is showing compasion and supporting her Daughter with keeping a dignified silence.

What the kids need after their mum passes away is a stable environment for them to grow up in and Jack clearly cannot provide that.
What the kids need after their mum passes away is a stable environment for them to grow up in and Jack clearly cannot provide that.
He definitely won't when he's inside. On his second charge (that we know of) for assault, I doubt he'll be left off with a fine and suspended sentence, especially as he's on license.
It's probably going to be hard on Jade with Jack inside, but if he can't keep his hands to himself then it's his own fault.
Jade Goody gave the thumbs-up sign as she left the Chelsea and Westminster hospital yesterday following a successful operation to ease the pain of her cancer.
With her bald head covered in a scarf, and clutching breathing apparatus, Jade gave a brave half-smile as she was transported on a stretcher back to the Royal Marsden hospital nearby.
It came on the same day her husband Jack Tweed sobbed in the dock as he was convicted of assaulting taxi driver Stephen Wilkins after leaving a club in Epping last May.
While the news will come as a blow to Jade, she will at least be able to spend the coming weeks with Tweed as magistrates adjourned sentencing until March 26.
But there was still uncertainty over whether Tweed will be able to be with Jade in her final moments as he could face jail of up to six months when he is sentenced.
Tania Panagiotopoulou, for Tweed, told magistrates that Goody has cervical cancer and is expected to die in the next few weeks.
She had asked magistrates to adjourn sentencing for six months.
But the court's decision suggests that Tweed may be sentenced while Jade is still alive.
Jade's publicist Max Clifford said last night that her 90-minute operation 'went well' and that she would return home as soon she felt well enough.
Clifford said: 'Everything depends on how she is feeling when she comes round from the operation.
'But the doctors at the Chelsea and Westminster hospital said the operation went well.'
Doctors discovered how far the disease has penetrated the reality star's body as she underwent the operation last night to help relieve 'terrible pain' in her stomach and remove a blockage in her bowel.
Clifford earlier told Mail Online that Jade's prognosis was now two to four weeks.
She is desperate to be well enough to be christened at a church close to her home with her boys, Bobby, five, and Freddie, four.
But Clifford cautioned: 'Everything depends on how she feels'.
Jade's close friend Kevin Adams, who was at her bedside after the surgery, said she began shuddering uncontrollably and her lips turned blue as she came round.
'At about 3.30 or 4am she had a reaction and was just shuddering. She was so cold. The nurse got the doctor by which time Jade's lips had started to go blue,' he told The Sun.
He added that the doctor had said the reaction could have been due to a four-pint blood transfusions Jade had during the operation or an infection, which will 'clear itself up'.
But he said: 'She is in less pain now. On a scale of one to ten she was in a sharp pain of ten, but she is now around a six.'
Yesterday Epping Magistrates' Court was told Tweed grabbed taxi driver Mr Wilkins by the throat and threatened to stab him as he drove the cab at 50mph following an argument about the fare.
Tweed, who has denied the offence, said he was too drunk to recall the night. He said: 'I've just seen the man here for the first time. He's an elderly man. I just would not do that.'
When pressed on details of the night, he said: 'My wife is undergoing an operation as we speak. I can't remember a thing. A lot has happened in my life and what is going on now.'
He added: 'I was drinking all day. If I did do that, all I can do is apologise.
It is the second time in six months that Tweed has been convicted of assault.
Last September, he was given an 18-month prison term after being found guilty of attacking a 16-year-old boy with a golf club in Ongar, Essex.
Tweed was released from prison on licence in January and was ordered to wear a monitoring tag and obey a curfew.
Meanwhile, Clifford could not confirm reports that Jade's cancer, which began in her cervix and spread to her liver and bowel, had now spread to her brain.
It came after a source revealed: 'Jade was told while in a hospice at the weekend that the cancer was travelling freely in her blood and has spread to her brain.'
'This is, of course, awful but not unexpected. She has already been told the disease is terminal.
'This hasn't shortened her life expectancy, which remains at weeks. But of course it is another extremely painful reminder of what lies ahead.
'Jade still wants to go home, but won't until she can be given the correct medication to make her condition bearable.
'She doesn't want to see her kids upset,' the source told The Sun.
When cancer reaches the brain, symptoms can include frequent fits, excruciating headaches, vomiting and nausea.
The 27-year-old was transferred from London's Royal Marsden to the nearby Chelsea and Westminster Hospital at around 11am yesterday.
While the reality star is desperate to leave hospital to return to her Essex home, it is likely she will remain in hospital for a few days to recover from the operation.
Clifford added that Jade is coping 'remarkably well' despite knowing that she is dying. 'In terms of her spirit, she has been very brave and positive.'
Jade wrote in her column for New! magazine that she has told Jack he can live in her house.
But she said he told her: '"I can't stay here. I'll be looking for you in every corner".'
Jade wrote: 'I'm not scared of dying. I just don't want to leave my loved ones behind.
'I haven't started reading the book Badger's Parting Gifts to the boys yet. The hospital will tell me when.
'Until then, all I can do is make sure everyone is well looked after so they don't have to worry.
'I've paid the boys school fees' right up until they are 16, which makes me feel really good.
'I never had an education, so I feel it's the greatest gift I can give my children.'
Her will could be further topped up if she manages to conduct an interview for television in the U.S., where interest in her awful situation has snowballed.
Both Oprah Winfrey and Larry King are said to be interested in speaking to her before she dies.

EMOTIONAL Jack Tweed told yesterday how he spent a whole night holding terminally-ill Jade Goody’s hand in hospital — and begged her to forgive his criminal past.
The 21-year-old, out of jail on parole and facing a new stretch after a second assault conviction, made a late-night dash to the Big Brother star’s bedside just hours after appearing in court.
Jack, who wears an electronic tag, was allowed to break his home curfew on compassionate grounds after hearing that Jade had “suffered a turn” after an op to remove a bowel blockage.
He spent Tuesday night comforting the cancer-stricken mum of two as she cried in pain and battled to sleep, with her condition continuing to weaken.
Jack said yesterday: “I was given permission to spend the night with Jade. I’m so happy — I just wish I could be there all the time.
“I told her I’m so sorry for my behaviour in the past. It’s meant I haven’t been there for her the whole time.
Frail ... Jade had 'turn' in hospital
“I told her I’ve let everyone down but have learned my lesson. And I said I’m worried that, once again, I won’t be there for her and the family when they really need me. I just want to be with her as much as I can.”
Cuddle
A source at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, West London, told how a camp bed was put in 27-year-old Jade’s room so her husband could stay — but said he barely slept at all.
The source said: “Jack spent nearly all night holding Jade’s hand and tenderly stroking her face. He tried to cuddle her, but she is hooked up to a drip and has her gas and air mask constantly with her, which made it hard.
“He did his best to hold her at times, she was grateful he was there.”
Jack spoke of his vigil yesterday just as Jade’s mum Jackiey Budden, 50, left the hospital in tears after visiting her stricken daughter.
Distraction ... Jack helps chum hunt flat
Jack, whose curfew means he must stay at his mum’s Essex home from 7pm to 7am, was NOT allowed to return to his wife’s bedside last night.
He spent yesterday afternoon with pals, leaving Jade to get vital rest.
During the trip, he visited a pizza restaurant before viewing a showroom with a chum who wants a new flat.
Jade — mum to sons Bobby, five, and Freddie, four — was “heavily sedated” in hospital last night.
Spokesman Max Clifford said: “She’s not been seeing anybody. She is resting up so she can see her boys tomorrow.
“I spoke to Jade this morning and she was very, very groggy. We are just hoping her sleepiness was just down to the drugs she was given for pain.”
Mr Clifford said that if Jade’s condition continued to worsen, he would advise her to withdraw from the public eye.
She has so far accepted media coverage to raise money for her sons.
Jade, whose cervical cancer spread to her bowel, liver and groin and is believed to have reached her brain, wants to die at home in Upshire, Essex, but she is too frail to travel.
There are such horrible texts going around about this, a boy in my Economics class got one in the lesson and read it out :(

Terminally ill Jade Goody has been christened with her two sons Bobby and Freddy in a "very short and emotional service", her publicist has said.
Max Clifford said the "very pale and fragile" Goody was in a wheelchair and assisted by nurses during the service at London's Royal Marsden Hospital.
Clifford said the ceremony would be the last thing reality TV star Goody would do in the public eye.
He added that she had had a "smile and a kiss for everyone who was there".
Bobby, five, and Freddy, four, were earlier brought to the hospital in west London by their father Jeff Brazier.
Flowers were also delivered for the ceremony at the hospital chapel, which was attended by around 20 close family members and friends.
The mother-of-two has only weeks to live after her cervical cancer spread to her liver, groin and bowel.
Goody's husband Jack Tweed and her mother, Jackiey Budden, were also present at the ceremony along with other members of her family.
Clifford said: "It was in my mind that she was saying a final goodbye to some people.
"Jade was obviously very happy with the whole thing; Jeff was there on one side, Jack was there on the other side, and it was a very short and emotional service.
"I think everybody knew just how important it was to Jade."
It had been hoped the ceremony would take place in a church, but Goody, 27, had been heavily sedated.
The service was carried out by hospital chaplain Chris Lee and Corinne Brixton, vicar of St John's church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, near Goody's home.
Sons' future
Clifford said he believed Goody had enjoyed the service.
"She finds it very hard to stay awake for more than a few minutes but she stayed awake for the 20 minutes of the service.
"It was a very positive atmosphere, after each of the boys were christened everyone clapped and after Jade was christened everyone clapped again.
"It was a very simple service. There were prayers and blessings and a few short readings."
Earlier Clifford had said Goody's two sons were not fully aware of what was going on.
"They know their mother is very ill and that is something the family will help them with.
"The boys will get a party as soon as they can. I think the intention is to take them out today."
Goody has vowed to raise as much money as possible for her sons through media deals before she dies.
Clifford said photographs taken of the service would be published in OK! magazine at a later date.
Pictures of Goody's recent marriage to Tweed have already appeared in the magazine. Tweed, 21, is awaiting sentence after he was found guilty of attacking a taxi driver and threatening to stab him after leaving a club in Essex last year.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/news/2009/03/07/jade-kisses-her-boys-goodbye-in-emotional-christening-ceremony-115875-21179734/
Tragic Jade Goody amazed family and friends yesterday by laughing and joking her way through an emotional christening for her boys... before saying a heartbreaking last goodbye.
Jade, 27, refused to shed a tear during the 20-minute ceremony before 30 friends and family despite knowing it was a final farewell for many of them before she dies.
And afterwards the father of her two children, Jeff Brazier, 29, took her hand and vowed he will take care of them when she’s gone.
During a heart-to-heart at her hospital bedside as their boys played on the floor beside them, he told her: “I promise I’ll look after the kids no matter what.”
Plans for a christening in a church had to be rearranged when Jade’s condition worsened.
TV host Jeff has been caring for Bobby, five, and Freddie, four, all week as Jade did not want them to see her in such pain.
But in a hospital gown and looking frail, she summoned the strength to get out of her wheelchair and fulfil her dying wish to be baptised alongside them.
She managed to get through the service even though she faces the final days of her cancer battle.
Defying agonising pain, Jade sat Bobby five, on her lap and had Freddie, four, next to her during the ceremony at the chapel of the Royal Marsden Hospital, London.
She hugged them and held hands with husband Jack Tweed, 21.
A friend said: “When Jade got there and saw the boys on the front pew her eyes were sparkling – but there were no tears because she was determined not to cry. The boys’ faces lit up and they were beaming when she walked in – they hadn’t seen her for over a week. She couldn’t stop kissing them.
“She made a sterling effort – the last thing she wanted to do was upset them. She wanted it to be a happy occasion and was even joking and giggling with them because they didn’t want to get wet from the baptism.”
The friend added: “Jade had a little make-up on for the occasion but not much.
“She clearly made a big effort. She had a smile and a kiss for everyone – but it was clearly her last goodbye to many of them.”
Jade’s mum Jackiey Budden, 50, and her grandparents, John and Sylvia Caddock, were among those who packed the tiny chapel for the Christening by hospital chaplain Chris Lee and Rev Corinne Brixton, of St John’s church, Buckhurst Hill, Essex, near Jade’s home.
Friends included former fitness instructor Kevin Adams and her bridesmaids Kate Jackson, Jennifer Smith, Kelly Reading, Charlene Hull and Caroline Roberts.
Jade’s grandad John, 70, who had walked Jade down the aisle just two weeks ago when she married her sweetheart Jack, said: “It was a lovely ceremony, it really was. Jade spoke to everyone there. But when she came to me I couldn’t speak. I was welling up.
“I couldn’t get the words out. I just gave her a kiss in the end. That said everything I needed to.
“I love her and I wish I was a miracle worker, but I’m not and there is nothing I can do. We all feel helpless, on the sidelines, and nothing we say or do is going to help.
“It’s all out of our hands. There is nothing we can do and that is what is so heart-wrenching.
“Jade is putting a brave face on it, we all are, but deep down we are hurting.
“Any death in the family is heart-breaking. But Jackiey, her mother, shouldn’t have to go through this, let alone grandparents like us.
“I love the kid. She is so young and had her whole life ahead of her. It’s just not right.”
He added sadly: “This did feel like the end. I don’t know when I’ll see her again, if ever. And I don’t even want to think about what the boys do or don’t know. They are growing up fast, and obviously know their mum isn’t well... but how Jade is going to tell them I don’t know.
“I think she has been trying to for a few days but how do you? I can’t cope with it, we are all grief-stricken, so I don’t know how the boys are going to deal with it.”

omg i cant believe anyone would do that to someone when theyre dying!
A WEIRDO with a hammer was caught inside Jade Goody’s hospital room yesterday — praying over the dying star.
Horrified medics raised the alarm after cancer-stricken Jade was woken by the female intruder and called for help.
They summoned cops who rushed to the scene and arrested the mystery woman.
The intruder carrying a large bag is said to be French and aged 41. She woke 27-year-old Jade with praying and chanting.
Publicist Max Clifford said: “Jade was obviously shocked. She started saying, ‘Who are you? What are you doing here?’
“She called out for a nurse and when someone came the woman ran off.”
The astonishing incident came after Big Brother favourite Jade’s new hubby Jack Tweed briefly left his vigil at her side to get a cup of tea.
A Met Police spokesman said last night: “We were called to the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea this afternoon.
“We arrested a woman who was in a patient’s room and whose behaviour was flagged up by the hospital’s security.
“After questioning her she was found to be in possession of an offensive weapon. She was arrested for possessing the weapon and taken into custody at a London police station for further questioning.
“She had not attempted to use the weapon.”
A Met Police source said the woman was armed with a hammer. She was later released from custody and police said there would be no further action.
Clifford added that Jade was now more determined than ever to return home following the incident.
He said: “This has unsettled her. She is hoping to return in the next few days.”
He said that security around Jade’s room had been stepped up. He also said the star had been heavily sedated yesterday as she recovered from her hospital christening with sons Bobby, five, and four-year-old Freddie on Saturday.
And he revealed she was surprised to learn she is headline news in the States.
He said: “Jack’s been telling her about all the messages from well-wishers. It was an eye-opener that she’s major news on all the main US networks.
She is understandably very tired from the christening. She has been sedated and will continue to be — which at least means that she’s not in pain. She was very happy with how things went on Saturday.
“The two things she wanted to do were get married and for her and the boys to be christened.”
From The Sun
Michael Jackson has telephoned Jade Goody to give the terminally ill reality TV star his support, it has been claimed.
The pop superstar knew Goody after she starred alongside his brother Jermaine on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, The Sun reports.
A friend said: "He learned of Jade's suffering and wanted to lend his support and comfort her at this awful time.
"When she was told Michael was on the phone her eyes lit up and she mustered all the strength she could to have a chat.
"It gave her a real boost and hope that she'll be alive to watch him perform in the summer."
Jackson also spoke to Goody's husband Jack Tweed when she became too ill to continue the conversation, and promised the pair and their children VIP tickets to his comeback shows in July.

Max Clifford has said that Jade Goody's life story may eventually be adapted for the big screen.
The publicist told The Daily Telegraph that Simon Cowell had informed him of the rising interest in Goody across the Atlantic.
Clifford said: "Practically everyone is asking him how Jade is doing. All the celebrities he meets have been following her story on TV and in newspapers and magazines.
"She has achieved so much by simply being herself and telling people just how it is. That's the most refreshing thing about Jade - her honesty.
"When a story becomes this big, the more chance there is about something like [a film] happening."
Los Angeles-based PR professional Michael Sands said: "Hollywood loves a heartwarming inspirational story, especially about someone who has turned their life around such as Jade."
Who would they cast to play her? :hmm:

Sorry but that just sounds ridiculous!
Jade Goody has said that her husband Jack Tweed has been "amazing", despite his conviction last week for assault.
Writing in her weekly column for New!, Goody expressed her happiness that Tweed's curfew from a previous offence was relaxed last Tuesday to allow the pair to spend the night together.
She said: "It's not the same as being at home but it's a real treat having some special time alone. People forget how hard this is for Jack too.
"I know you will have read all about Jack's latest brush with the law. I haven't heard all the gory details - I've been too busy resting.
"What's important is that he's been there for me, yes, despite all the pictures of him out and about with his mates! He's been by my side every day, cuddling and kissing me.
"He really has been amazing."
I have my doubts about him after reading about his behaviour but if he makes her happy, then that is the most important thing.
DESPERATE Jade Goody is terrified that she may never see her beloved young sons again as cancer takes her sight.
The dying star is bravely fighting to be allowed home from hospital so she can die near her two boys.
But worried pals have revealed her condition is now so bad she can barely see — with her remaining vision limited to just one eye.
And the Big Brother favourite, 27, fears that if she is not allowed home soon she may never again glimpse little Bobby, five, and brother Freddie, four.
One close pal said: “Every day Jade’s away from the children she knows it’s one less day she’ll get to spend with them before she dies.
“She’s desperate to be close to her sons in her final hours and hates them seeing her in hospital.
“She wants to go home and be surrounded by family and friends — not in a hospital bed. Everyone’s concentrating on getting the nurses prepared so that she can face the pain at home.”
Jade’s sight has deteriorated rapidly since she and her sons were christened in an emotional hospital service on Saturday, when she was still able to recognise relatives and friends.
The star, now barely able to speak, revealed later: “I’m so sad it was one of our last moments.
“I’m so proud of my little men — I love them more than anything.”
Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford confirmed she was intent on returning to her home in Upshire, Essex.
He said: “It means so much to her to be close to the boys.
“She’s hoping she’ll be able to go home in the next few days if the nurses can look after her there.”
But last night mum Jackiey Budden, 50, was sitting with her daughter as fears grew she may have just hours rather than days to live.
It was the first time Jackiey had kept a round-the-clock bedside vigil for Jade at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, West London.
Earlier, Jade was visited by 21-year-old husband Jack Tweed, who wed her at a hotel last month.
He stayed with her for more than five hours, collecting flowers from well-wishers as he popped outside.
Meanwhile, security at the hospital has been stepped up after an amazing breach on Sunday, when a female intruder was found in Jade’s room.
The star woke to find the woman stroking her head and chanting prayers.
Police arrested the intruder, who was found to be in possession of a gavel — a small ceremonial hammer used mostly by judges.
The 41-year-old was later released without charge.
Hospital sources said she had simply asked a member of staff for directions to Jade’s room and made her way there unchallenged.
Jade, diagnosed with cervical cancer last summer, is mustering all her strength to support a march to Downing Street next week calling for the age for smear tests to be cut to 20.
Mr Clifford said: “If she’s well enough she wants to go to that.”
The Sun
JADE Goody will go to hell because she is a Christian, Muslim fanatics insisted last night.
The warped internet claim by followers of hate preacher Omar Bakri followed dying Jade’s decision to be baptised.
The ceremony was carried out at the weekend in London’s Royal Marsden Hospital for Jade, 27, and her young sons Bobby and Freddie.
But extremists who support Bakri and al-Qaeda launched a furious attack on the star on a website operated by a banned group which backs the preacher, who is now based in the Lebanon.
The fanatics declared: “The Christian faith to which she now turns to does not provide the answers.
“Jesus to who Christians plead for salvation will be of no avail. We call upon Jade Goody, other Christians and mankind to return back to Allah.
“If you do not then death awaits and hell will be the final abode and destiny for those who disbelieve in Allah.”
The rant appeared on the Islam for the UK website operated by longtime Bakri henchman Anjem Choudary.
There is a picture of Jade on the site’s home page accompanied by the caption: “O Jade Goody — Now is the Time to Repent and Return to Your Lord Allah and Save Yourself!”
The rant prompted a visitor to the site named only as Bilal to say cruelly: “Think of the benefits. Wearing a khimaar (head covering) would cover that bald head of yours.”
Jade lost her hair as a result of the chemotherapy she received to try to stop her cancer spreading.
I hope that Jade does not get to hear about this :thumbsdow
FFS, can't these people keep their opinions to themselves? Nobody (especially those who are dying, not just Jade) wants to hear what they have to say
I hope Jade is strong enough to ignore what these idiots have said. It would have been better if the media had the sense not to report this :thumbsdow Anything to sell papers it seems
Jade Goody's condition has reportedly worsened to the point where she is going blind, with her remaining vision limited to one eye.
The reality TV star was diagnosed with cervical cancer last year and the condition has since spread to her liver, bowel and groin before moving to her brain.
Goody wants to go home to spend more time with her children but her sight has deteriorated since she was christened in hospital at the weekend, The Sun reports.
A friend said: "Every day Jade's away from the children she knows it's one less day she'll get to spend with them before she dies.
"She's desperate to be close to her sons in her final hours and hates them seeing her in hospital.
"She wants to go home and be surrounded by family and friends - not in a hospital bed. Everyone's concentrating on getting the nurses prepared so that she can face the pain at home."
Of the christening, Goody said: "I'm so sad it was one of our last moments. I'm so proud of my little men - I love them more than anything."
Jade Goody has said that she is upset by accusations that husband Jack Tweed married her for her money.
The terminally ill reality TV star told OK! that people who make such claims do not know anything about their relationship.
Goody said: "How am I meant to react to stuff like that? It really upsets me.
"They don't know anything about us. Jack loves me and I love him. Yeah, he's been a bit stupid in the past but he is young.
"He's been a brilliant dad and I'm just sorry I could never give him his own child."
She added that her children "adore" him and that he played with them instead of spending time with his friends on their wedding day.
Earlier this month, Tweed was found guilty of assault for an incident that occurred last May.
It was the second time he has been convicted of a violent offence in the past seven months.

I am finding it really uncomfortable hearing of constant updates of her deterioration. I think now's the time they leave her be until the worst happens. Sadly, I can't see her surviving until the end of the week :(
BRAVE Jade Goody today faces her final battle in her cancer fight — to be allowed home to spend her final days with her beloved sons.
Jade, 27, has begged doctors at London’s Royal Marsden Hospital to let her return to Freddie, four, and five-year-old Bobby.
Yesterday they appeared poised to grant the Big Brother star’s dying wish.
Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford revealed: “She will be coming home tomorrow —but only if nurses are able to keep her pain at bay.”
Last night Jade’s thoughts on facing death emerged.
She told OK! magazine: “I might fall asleep one day and not wake up and that is a scary thing to think about. No one should worry about me, though.
“I’m in terrible pain, but I am determined to make sure the time I have left is fun with my mates and family.”
Mr Clifford told how they hoped to make that happen.
He said: “The plan is she will leave in an ambulance under supervision of someone from the Marsden who will administer the epidural and pain control. Jade is desperate to get home with the boys.”
But he stressed: “If doctors are not happy tomorrow morning she will not go home.”
Mr Clifford said Jade was “thrilled” at the prospect of returning to the boys and new husband Jack Tweed.
He said: “Jade knows she hasn’t very long and wants to be at home surrounded by loved ones and family.”
Jade, of Upshire, Essex, has spent ten days in hospital after being rushed in for an operation.
She was the subject of a second security scare yesterday.
A man claiming to be a faith healer was blocked as he tried to get to her, telling staff: “I can heal Jade. I am a thousand times stronger than the Dalai Lama.”
On Sunday a female intruder with a hammer was found in her room.
It also emerged that Jade wants to be remembered as “the mouthy bird off the box” and as “the one who irritated and entertained in equal measure”.
She concluded in the interview: “I’ve achieved more in just 27 years than some achieve in their lifetime.”
Tonight viewers will see Jade making final preparations for last month’s wedding.
In Jade: Bride-to-be-Be, on Living at 9pm, she jokes with pals as she lies back in a dentists’ chair to have her teeth whitened.
Wiping tears from her eyes, she says: “If I die, (I’m) gonna miss all this.”
The Sun revealed yesterday the weak Big Brother legend was going blind.
Husband Jack spent three hours at Jade’s bedside yesterday then left to hold a business meeting aimed at relaunching his career as a nightclub host.
He met representatives from West End club Vendo, where he will be hosting “Celebrity Nights”.
Jack, 21, used to co-host similar nights in another club before he was jailed for an assault last year.
The Sun
Jade Goody has given a poignant final interview – saying she hopes to be remembered as a colourful and vibrant character who refused to be crushed by her cancer battle.
Terminally ill Jade said she was in terrible pain but determined to live her remaining days to the full surrounded by those she loves.
And she told OK! magazine she hoped that after she dies people will think of her as “a mouthy bird – the one who irritated and entertained people in equal measure”.
The 27-year-old Big Brother favourite added: “But I also want to be remembered as the girl who put up a fight and would never let herself get beaten down.
“I was given a death sentence but I didn’t let it kill me. I fought it, got married, got christened. I’m happy.
“I’ve achieved more in 27 years than some achieve in a lifetime. I could bitch about dying young but at the end of the day I can look back on my life and be proud of what I’ve done.”
Jade also said she would like to have a public funeral to say thank you to the millions of ordinary people who have wished her well.
She added: “I have had so many kind messages from people over the past few weeks and if people feel like they want to say their goodbyes to me, then I would be happy for them to pay their respects.”
Jade, who has taken comfort from religion since she was diagnosed with cancer, said she could not understand why God had been so tough on her.
She added: “I think he wanted to make me a strong person.
“He gave me all these challenges and I think because I have coped with them he has chucked more and more at me.
“Why he has chucked this one at me, I just don’t know.”
Jade also spoke about reincarnation, adding: “My mum swears that her grandad came back as a bee that used to sit at her window.
“She was convinced that it was her gramps watching over her. I like to think I can be like that. But I wouldn’t want to come back as a bee, I’d probably get swatted!”
Jade said she would prefer to come back as an elderly woman. She added: “I have a thing for old biddies. Except if I did, I suppose I wouldn’t be around for long, would I?”
The mum of two is hoping to be able to leave London’s Royal Marsden Hospital soon so she can spent her remaining days at home in Upshire, Essex, with sons Bobby, five, and Freddy, four. She said: “I might fall asleep one day and not wake up and that is a scary thing to think about.
“No one should worry about me, though. I’m in terrible pain but I am determined to make sure the time I have left is fun with my mates and family.” Jade said she was devastated by the thought she would not see her boys grow up.
And she told how she has been upset by a series of attacks on her new husband Jack Tweed, 21.
She said people who had questioned his motives for being with her were “well out of order”.
Jade added: “They don’t know anything about us. Jack loves me and I love him. Yeah, he’s been a bit stupid in the past but he is young.
“The boys adore him. He’s been a brilliant dad and I’m just sorry I could never give him his own child.”
Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford yesterday said she may be well enough to go home today.
He said: “Jade is desperate to go home and was delighted that doctors agreed it would be possible. But it all depends on how she feels.
“If she does go home, it will be with one of the Royal Marsden nurses who has been looking after her to make sure that the epidurals are administered properly.”
Meanwhile, the bishop who conducted Jade’s wedding said her courage had ben inspirational.
Jonathan Blake said: “She is a tremendous example to all of us.
“When I had seen Jade days before she had been so weak.
“But at the wedding she had a huge adrenaline surge and was fully focused on the event.
“She was so full of energy, so thoughtful of others and living the day to the absolute full. She showed extraordinary strength.
“If Jade is able to be a symbol to people of how someone who has everything can meet this terrible situation bravely, and with grace, and laugh in the face of death, it will send a positive example to others.”
Jade’s long-term rival Jordan said yesterday she was planning a visit to say goodbye. She said: “It’s something I want to do in private, away from the cameras.”
Terminally ill reality TV star Jade Goody has left hospital.
The 27-year-old Big Brother star was carried into an ambulance after leaving the Royal Marsden Hospital in west London with her husband Jack Tweed.
Earlier, her publicist Max Clifford said she was "desperate" to return to her Essex home to see her children.
Goody, diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2008, has been told she has just weeks to live after the disease spread to her liver, groin and bowel.
"They are going back home," said Mr Clifford.
"Obviously, they've decided she's well enough to go. One of the nurses is going with her."
"She wants to spend as much time as possible with the boys and Jack," he added. "At the moment, that's very difficult."
The reality TV star was christened in a 20-minute service at the Royal Marsden on Saturday.
But she was left shaken on Sunday after being confronted in hospital by a woman with a hammer.
"Jade obviously freaked out," Mr Clifford said.
He added that security had been stepped up around Goody following the incident.
A 41-year-old woman was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon but was later released.
Jade Goody married her fiance Jack Tweed last month.
A documentary, Jade: Bride-to-Be, following last-minute preparations before Goody's wedding to Tweed, airs on digital channel Living at 9pm tonight.
Something about Jade and Comic Relief a few years back came up in the quiz we had for the 6th form today. More sick 'jokes' from people and one of them even brought David Cameron's son into it

JADE Goody’s hubby Jack Tweed rushed to her bedside last night amid fears she had taken a turn for the worse.
Officials lifted his curfew after Jade, 27, who is dying of cancer, became crippled with pain and a nurse called for him.
Judges had ruled Jack, 21, who is on parole for assault, can only be with her on Thursday and Saturday nights
Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford said: “The nurse decided he should be there as she was in so much pain and distress.
“Jack is the one person able to help her when she is like that. There are arrangements for Jack to be there if the nurse feels it necessary.”
He added that Jade plans to celebrate Mothers’ Day tomorrow — a week early.
Jade was earlier said to be delighted after learning the screening age for cervical cancer is to be reviewed. The Government has said a panel of experts will consider if it should be lowered from 25 to 20 in England — as in Scotland and Wales.
The announcement came after more than 100,000 people signed up to The Sun’s Jade’s Legacy campaign.
The Big Brother star is dying after suffering cervical cancer at her home in Upshire, Essex.
Max Clifford said at the time: “She is delighted at this news.
“Everybody in Britain knows who’s responsible for this — and that’s Jade.
“She said to me, ‘It’s too late for me, but there’s an awful lot who will benefit through what has happened to me’.”
Health Minister Ann Keen said of the decision: “Screening saves 4,500 lives every year and we want to ensure our programme remains in the best interests of young women. Experts will review the latest evidence as well as consider how we can increase awareness of screening.”
The Advisory Committee on Cervical Screening will present its evidence to Ms Keen this year.
When Mr Clifford was asked how long Jade has left yesterday, he replied: “We are taking one day at a time.”
Jade Goody has spoken of her pride after a health minister announced that a review into the age limit for cervical cancer screening is to take place.
Ann Keen said that a panel of experts would consider whether women under 25 should be offered smear tests in the future.
Terminally ill Goody was diagnosed with the disease in August and later learned that it had spread to her bowel, liver and groin.
Spokesman Max Clifford said Goody was "immensely proud" that the current system of screening is to be probed. The 27-year-old reportedly said: "It's too late for me, but it will not be for millions of others."
Clifford told ITN that Goody's losing battle with the disease had brought unprecedented publicity to the campaign.

its good news that its going to be reviewed, but i just wonder how many of these 100,000 normally go for their smear tests or will do in the future. its a good thing trying to make the government change it, but whats the point if you are then not going to bother going
Shilpa Shetty is reportedly flying to the UK next week to visit her fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate Jade Goody, reports the BBC.
Shetty was unable to attend the terminally ill star's recent wedding to Jack Tweed because of her filming schedule and apparently wants to see Goody "desperately".
The pair's relationship has blossomed into a friendship following a number of altercations on the Channel 4 reality show, which led to Goody being accused of bullying and racism.
Goody's cancer diagnosis on the Indian version of the programme, hosted by Shetty, has led to them being in close contact.
Publicist Max Clifford said: "Shilpa has been keeping in touch with her for months and they are good friends. She desperately wants to see her if she's well enough."
Goody's husband was rushed to her side last night after her condition deteriorated. "We are on the edge of a precipice," Clifford said.

CANCER victim Jade Goody knows she is now just hours from death and is frightened to close her eyes in case she never opens them again.
A close friend told how the reality TV star cried out in terror on Friday night, screaming for husband Jack Tweed.
The pal said: “One of the problems is she’s terrified of falling asleep because she’s afraid she’ll never wake up.
“That means she completely exhausts herself. It was terrible.”
New hubby Jack, 21 revealed how he too panicked when told Jade’s condition had taken a turn for the worse on Friday.
Fearing it was all over he dashed to his wife’s bedside at her home in Upshire, Essex, after asking Home Office officials to lift his curfew.
“When I got the call I was absolutely terrified,” he said.
“The thought that our fairytale could be over already filled me with dread and sadness.”
Desperately-ill Jade, just 27, is now so frail and weak she is not expected to live beyond tomorrow.
A friend warned: “It’s a matter of hours, she’s got dramatically worse overnight. Sadly, she’s very close to the end.”
Big Brother legend Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford confirmed: “She has deteriorated. She is very weak. The answer is, who knows? We are on the edge of a precipice.”
All but close family and friends have been told Jade can no longer see visitors.
The new curfew rules set by hubby Jack’s parole officers mean he can stay with her round-the-clock rather than having to report to his mother’s house 30 minutes away.
Yesterday Jade’s mum Jackiey Budden was in tears as she passed on the sad news to pals that her daughter knew her precious time was finally up.
Jade was asleep most of the day but when Jackiey emerged to let in nursing staff she was clearly distraught.
A friend said: “She’s been crying her eyes out, she’s been in floods of tears because she too realises it’s nearly the end of the road.
“The family were told maybe Jade would make it to Tuesday but after such a bad night that’s been revised to Monday and maybe sooner.
“She’s in a very bad way and has been in so much awful pain.
“They’ve given her a lot of medication and she’s been in a deep sleep most of the day and hasn’t woken up.
“But Jade’s getting weaker and weaker and is looking very pale.
“We all knew it was getting close when she couldn’t even raise a smile or give a thumbs-up when she was taken home from hospital on Wednesday.
She’s gone downhill a lot since then and everyone around her is really upset. Her mum Jackiey is in pieces.
“Everyone knew this was going to happen, but it’s still desperately sad.”
Reality TV favourite Jade is being cared for by a team of dedicated specialist nurses.
And yesterday mum Jackiey just couldn’t stop herself giving the carer who looked after her daughter overnight a huge cuddle.
Emotional Jackiey, 50, clasped the carer tightly before opening the gates to the house at 9.20am.
Behind her sunglasses Jackiey looked drained and exhausted. She couldn’t bring herself to talk about Jade’s worsening condition but was there manning the front door when two extra medics arrived at 11.30am.
In a brief snatched escape from all the stress, Jackiey later took a 10-minute afternoon trip to the local post office and supermarket to buy some lottery tickets but it was all too much for her and she burst into tears again.
She was then taken for a drive by close family friend, and Jade’s personal trainer, Kevin Adams to buy fresh flowers as a gift for the nurses.
More flowers, in the shape of two bouquets from well-wishers, arrived later in the day.
Farewell
Then came a moment of unwanted drama as two born-again Christians trespassed onto the property and shouted up at Jade’s window in an attempt to speak to the ailing star.
But the women were ushered away by a concerned neighbour.
The tension rose again at about 5.30pm when a man in his thirties arrived in a silver Audi and, carrying what appeared to be a medical bag, entered the house.
With time slipping away fast Jade has already planned her funeral, insisting it should be a celebration of her life.
She wants a traditional burial and a service will be held at a church near her home.
Jade’s spokesman said: “The funeral will be a reflection of how she’s lived in the last seven years—full on.
“She wants to say farewell to anyone who wants to be there. It will mirror the happiest seven years of her life.
“There will be tears, but a lot of love and laughter as well.”
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is making a dramatic dash from India in a bid to see Jade one last time before she dies.
The pair clashed on 2007 Celebrity Big Brother, but later became friends.
Jade was starring on India’s version of the show, hosted by Shilpa, when she was told she was suffering from cervical cancer last August. At first she was given a reasonable chance of survival but her cancer spread quickly.
Yesterday, there was no sign of Jade’s two sons, five-year-old Bobby and four-year-old Freddie, who are being looked after by relatives.
The boys visited their mum on Thursday with their father, Jade’s former partner TV presenter Jeff Brazier.
Knowing the situation, Jade discharged herself from the Royal Marsden Hospital on Wednesday so she could spend these final days at home with her loved ones all around her.
She has tried to keep life as normal as possible for her children, insisting that they keep up their routine of going to school.
A friend said: “Jade’s been incredibly brave and is just so pleased that she was able to marry Jack in time and be christened with her boys.
“Those were her final wishes so that she could be close to them when she’s gone.”
The boys and Jack are expected to spend all of today with Jade in a low-key Mothers’ Day celebration, remembering all the good times they’ve had—a week early because of her worsening condition.
:( this is getting even more sad, I too find it hard to read each update and the next one cant be good either :(

what i do not understand is,,,,,, Jack and Jade are married now why is he not ALLOWED to live with his WIFE??:searchme: :hmm:
Because he was a bad boy and the curfew rules state he must be at his mother's address during certain times at night. He has had special dispensation to stay with her. Don't know whether it would be possible to get the curfew rules changed to Jade's address.
I watched the bride to be and wedding show on Living, Jade looked gorgeous :) It was a really beautiful wedding, bless her boys, they looked so cute :) - and lets hope these aren't her last few days.
Cancer-stricken Jade Goody told her young sons she will soon be a "star up in the sky" looking over them, her publicist said.
The reality TV star has also made preparations for her funeral which she wants to be a "celebration" of her life, Max Clifford said.
She was spending the day at home in Upshire, Essex, where her husband, Jack Tweed, and her mother, Jackiey Budden, were at her bedside.
A vicar was visiting for a small private service and to say prayers and blessings. Mr Clifford said he was not administering the last rites but added that she was "fading" and nobody knew how much longer she had left to live.
"Mummy's going to heaven soon," she told her boys, Bobby, five, and Freddy, four, when she came home from hospital on Thursday, Mr Clifford said.
"As you can imagine it was incredibly hard for her. She said she's going to be a star up in the sky so when they are looking up they will be able to see her and know that she is there, always looking over them. That's her way of dealing with the situation."
Goody decided to do all she could to prepare her sons after taking advice from bereavement councillors.
He said Goody first said she would leave arrangements for the funeral to other people. But she could not resist getting involved, chipping in with "I don't want that" and "This is what I want".
"She wants everybody to be there, with plenty of room outside for screens," he said. "She wants it to be a big celebration because it's her final farewell to everybody. She's the world's first world reality television star. It will be a very Jade Goody event, exactly the way she wants it."
The funeral is expected to see a cortege of cars drive through the streets of Bermondsey, south London, where Goody grew up. She will be buried in the churchyard of St John the Baptist in Buckhurst Hill, Essex.

What a hard time Jade has had today reading that article. She must feel heartbroken knowing she is going to be leaving her boys who she adores so much.
I hope when her time comes she goes peacefully, knowing she is loved by many.
JADE Goody’s young sons took flowers to her bedside yesterday in what could be one of their final visits to their beloved Mummy.
The angelic pair sat gently clasping the dying star’s hands after little Freddie had picked her a delicate daffodil.
But frail Jade — heavily sedated and exhausted as she nears the end of her grim battle with terminal cancer — then fell asleep with the lads still clinging sadly on.
A source said: “It was a real tear-jerking moment to see the three of them together at such a sad time.”
Earlier four-year-old Freddie, shirtless and with his painted face swathed in a giant grin, had plucked the daffodil for his reality TV star mum, whose condition had deteriorated over the weekend.
He played happily in the garden with brother Bobby, five, Jade’s new hubby Jack Tweed and the boys’ gran Jackiey Budden.
The kids and Jack all had their faces daubed with paint. Freddie had coloured Jack’s entirely black.
The family had been hoping for friends and loved ones to visit their home in Upshire, Essex, for an early Mother’s Day celebration.
But Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford said she was not well enough and spent much of the day asleep.
Instead, the boys were taken to her side after Macmillan nurses caring for the Big Brother favourite said she had only hours to live.
Mr Clifford said: “The boys went to see her and she was aware of them for a brief moment or two. She saw them and she smiled.
“She has put her house in order and faced up to everything in an incredibly brave way. Now we’re waiting for the inevitable. It could be at any time, we just don’t know.”
Jade, 27 — diagnosed with cervical cancer last summer — discharged herself from hospital last week so she could die at home.
She told the boys then: “Mummy’s going to heaven soon. I’m going to be a star up in the sky, so when you are looking up you will be able to see me and know I’m there, always looking over you.
“Mummy’s going to be up there looking over you. Close your eyes and you can talk to me.”
And yesterday when bewildered Freddie asked at her bedside: “Why are you so sleepy?” she gave the heartbreaking reply: “Because the angels are calling Mummy.”
A priest also visited Jade yesterday to say prayers and blessings. Father Francis, of West London’s Ealing Abbey, was chosen by the star because he had beaten cancer.
Jade is now so weak from her cancer that she can barely smile.
But she still insisted on seeing her precious sons as she slipped in and out of consciousness.
A nurse has told Jack, 21, and 50-year-old Jackiey that the next time Jade falls into a deep sleep she will probably not wake up.
A very close family friend said: “It’s over. Jade barely has the strength to talk. She will occasionally weep, but is too frail now to even squeeze her mum’s hand.
The nurses talk to her quietly and do what they can to control the pain. They told Jack that the next time she falls into a deep sleep she probably won’t wake up.
“Her disease has been so cruel to her — and everyone who loves her. We just want her suffering to stop.”
Jade’s condition worsened on Friday when nurses feared she had stopped breathing. Jack, whose parole curfew has been relaxed so he can visit his wife outside of his strict 7am to 7pm regime, was called at 11.30pm and rushed to her side.
Meanwhile Jackiey yesterday requested a Sun picture of her daughter, which she plans to hang in Bobby’s new bedroom.
It was snapped just weeks ago and shows Jade looking healthy and happy as she strolled down her drive wearing a huge smile.
Jackiey said: “Bobby wants a big boy’s room now so I’m decorating that. I want that picture on the main wall. It’s beautiful.
“That’s the way he should remember his mum.”
Jackiey added: “It’s not day by day now. It’s more like hour by hour. I’m stronger than Jack at the moment. Together, we’ve built a strong community to cope with it.”
But amid the heartbreak, defiant Jade astonished medics by blasting a nurse who she heard discussing her health. The star overheard the gloomy conversation as she lay in bed. And she yelled: “I’m not ********** dead yet, so stop that talk.”
Jade also displayed her trademark feistiness by ordering her mum to buy her a LOTTERY ticket and indicating her chosen numbers.
A family friend said last night: “Jade might be at death’s door, but she’s got some proper Bermondsey fight in her yet.
“She must have got angry about all the negative talk as she came out with a really fiery outburst.
“Then she told Jackiey she wanted to play the lottery.”
Jackiey, Jack and personal trainer pal Kevin Adams were all keeping a vigil by Jade’s bedside last night. A source said: “They know the end is near and want to be with her.’’
Thousands of messages of support continue to flood into The Sun.
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is also expected to fly into Britain this week to try to see Jade before she dies. They fell out during Celebrity Big Brother 2007, when Jade was plunged into a race row over her treatment of the Indian beauty.
The picture of Freddie enjoying the first rays of springtime sun is made all the more poignant by the Marie Curie Cancer Care Great Daffodil Appeal this month.
It urges people to wear the flower as a sign of support in beating the disease.
So sad :(

Jade Goody has reportedly made plans for her funeral to be televised.
The former Big Brother contestant has arranged for a large screen to be erected outside the church so that the service can be watched by fans.
Goody is said to have chosen an oak coffin from the Royal Windsor Forest and wants to be taken in a convoy of seven cars from her home to the St. John The Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill, according to Metro.
The convoy will rumouredly include a Daimler used by the late Queen Mother, and a Rolls-Royce used by the Sultan of Brunei.
She has also chosen celebrity undertakers F. A. Albin & Sons from ITV1 documentary Don't Drop The Coffin and selected the hymn 'All Things Bright And Beautiful'.
According to The Sun, nurses have told husband Jack Tweed and mother Jackiey Budden that Goody "will probably not wake up" the next time she falls into a deep sleep.
"It's over. Jade barely has the strength to talk. She will occasionally weep, but is too frail now to even squeeze her mum’s hand," a source said.

Jade Goody is reportedly too ill to be visited by her former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Shilpa Shetty.
The Bollywood actress missed Goody's wedding ceremony last month and planned to visit because she "desperately" wanted to see the dying star.
Goody, 27, found out that she was suffering from cervical cancer when she appeared on the Indian version of the reality show, which is hosted by Shetty.
Max Clifford said: "She is not well. Shilpa totally understands that."
It emerged yesterday that Goody has finalised the schedule for her funeral, including plans for large television screens outside the church so that fans can watch it.
While I have all the sympathy in the world for this person that is dying, I personally am not interested in viewing her funeral on a large screen. Who does she think she is? A Daimler, a Rolls Royce, a convoy of seven cars? Royalty have less than that. She is dying a horrible death and she is leaving two young boys behind, which is terribly sad, but there are million of other people in the same situation and they don't get this treatment. In my eyes she will always be the shouting bully from a reality show, not the super celebrity she has been made into and what she obviously thinks she is.

Same. It would be horrible for Jade if the boys asked her to tell the angels that she didn't want to go.
yeh that would be sad, it must be difficult for little kids when they dont understand what is going on. when my sis friend died her parents told her little brother that she had gone to live with the angels and he told them to stop being sad as she would be back in a few days as she liked living with them :( although they tried to tell him nicely, he just didnt understand why she wouldnt be back
Perhaps it makes a difference if the children see their parent poorly. As young as Jade's boys are, they surely know that their mummy in bed all the time and with nurses and doctors around means she is not well.

Fans of Jade Goody have travelled to her home in Upshire, Essex to show their support for the terminally ill reality TV star.
Goody is said to be entering her final hours after she left hospital for home last week and is reportedly slipping in and out of consciousness, Metro reports.
One fan, Jade Cunningham-Cox, said: "I was just drawn to Jade's house. For her to be in such distress, I felt as a fan I should be closer to her.
"She is the new princess of the people and it's tragic her life is going to end this way."
Goody is said to be "at peace" and sleeping deeply as she succumbs to her battle with cancer.
FFS, people, get a life. Goody is NOT the new princess of the people just because she is dying at a young age.
I have lost any respect and remorse i had gained for Jade - she is totally exploiting her situation and it does not paint her as a good mother leaking pictures and stories of herself dying to every media outlet - what kids would want to see that :thumbsdow

However, the reality TV star told OK! of her sadness of leaving her family when she finally loses her battle to terminal cancer.
Goody said: "I'm not scared of dying anymore. I believe in heaven and spirits, so I'm not scared of death.
"I am so scared and so, so sorry to be leaving behind my sons and my husband, and my mum and grandparents."
She added: "That's what scares me the most. Having to leave them and never see them again."

I have only sympathy for those poor little boys, I agree with some one Jade will only in my mind be remembered as a loud mouthed cow.
When she does die, who is going to ensure that the MONEY that she MILKED from the media will be used to take care of her two sons..I personally think those kids are the ones who will be suffering the most after all this is over. Jack Tweed??? has she made sure HE is going to be taken care of ?? Her mother ?? I am sure there are a few other fingers in this pie that Jade has created. I am sorry but I think this has turned into a media circus and this is a very private family time. And yes she is not ROYALTY.
BTW.. has she left any IMPORTANT messages to WOMEN about having themselves checked for this disease, or is she going to leave that until after she DIES and do the same thing as Bob Monkhouse did.. and leave a video for people to see after he died warning men to have themselves checked for prostrate cancer ??
This whole thing about Jade Goody has gone WAY TOO FAR:searchme:

"They would like to also state that they are extremely grateful for the support that OK! has provided during this distressing period."
Goody has been open about her desire to use media interest in her illness (http://uk.news.yahoo.com/illnesses-conditions.html) to secure the financial future of her two sons.
It is understood OK! paid around ??700,000 for rights to her recent wedding to Jack Tweed and the boys' christening.
Mr Clifford said Goody would be "present in spirit" at a rally to press for the minimum age for cervical smear tests to be reduced from 25 to 20.
Bob and Lynn Walker, who lost their daughter Claire to cervical cancer last year at the age of 23, were handing a petition in to Downing Street.
Mr Clifford also praised Tweed for his unstinting support: "Jack has been incredible. He has been nursing her every hour he is allowed to be there, brushing her teeth, holding her hand.
"For a 21-year-old to do what he has done is incredible. We all know the other side of him but in this he has been absolutely amazing. To be able to sit there day and night watching somebody you love die, it is very hard.
"He has done everything possible to make things as good as possible for as long as possible for Jade."
The reality TV star is also being nursed by mother Jackiey Budden at her home in Essex.

Shilpa Shetty has said that she was sad to have missed Jade Goody's wedding and added that the reality TV star is in her prayers.
The Bollywood actress wrote on her website that she brought forward her visit to London to visit Goody but was unable to after her health deteriorated.
Shetty said: "Little did I know that the last time I spoke to her would actually be the last time.
"[I] am happy in a way I haven't got to see her, it would've depressed me no end. I always want to remember her smiling, the feisty strong gregarious Jade, a true trooper!
"This is the dance of life. Enjoy every moment of the dance, 'cause you never know when the music will stop. You are in my prayers Jade. You are destiny's child!"
She added that she "discovered a new Jade" when the pair met again on Big Boss two years after their falling out on Celebrity Big Brother, and that she admired her spirit and how she coped with her illness.
Jade Goody has decided not to celebrate Mother's Day with her two young sons, her publicist Max Clifford has revealed.
According to family friends, the terminally ill reality star has chosen not to mark the occasion with Bobby, five, and four-year-old Freddie.
Instead, Mother's Day cards hand-made by the boys will be delivered to Goody by a relative.
Earlier this week, the star informed her children that she was "going to heaven soon", but reportedly told family and friends that she did not want the boys to witness her death.
Clifford has confirmed that the family have made no plans for Mother's Day, which falls this Sunday.
Yesterday, OK! defended its decision to publish a special tribute issue in memory of Goody while she is still alive.

i thought they celebrated mothers day last weekend?
They might have celebrated it because OK magazine wanted to get their last lot of photos for their 'Tribute Edition'. As Jade is meant to be asleep most of the time now, she probably would not be aware of the boys being with her.
I am getting sick of seeing her to be honest and i know that sounds really harsh, but i feel that this should be a private matter, and it shouldnt be put all over the media, i feel for her poor boys and the rest of her family they should be able to say goodbye in private

Yesterday, OK! defended its decision to publish a special tribute issue in memory of Goody while she is still alive.<< then why did it look so FUNERALY:sick:
What exactly was their defense ??? So they paid her for exclusive rights of her death???.. so they have the right to publish WHENEVER THEY want to ?? OK magazine is getting seriously MORBID !!!!!!!!!!!
That photo of Jade was horrible.. OK should have at least waited till she was DEAD...:hmm:
Is nothing scarce ?? I would at least hope that she was able to retain some dignity...But OK magazine as made sure that her death is exposed like they would expose some one cheating on their spouse..
That PUBLICTIST is going to be raking in alot of money, being the mouth piece of the family,,, Wonder how much his cut is in this Media Pie that Jade has created ???
I think OK took a big risk sending that issue to press. I do believe OK honestly thought she would have passed on by Wednesday. Max said on Sunday that Jade was in her final hours so OK immediately thought they could get in first with a world exclusive of her death. Shame she was still alive on Wednesday otherwise it would have been a success
Max has a lot to answer for in all of this. He's been saying she had hours to live since last week yet she's still alive. I know death is an unpredictable thing but if what he's been saying is true then Jade should have died days ago.
I've never liked him, he's a money grabbing slime ball.
I must admit, I was rather shocked when I saw the headline. I dare say Jade will die this year, so the headline will probably be correct, but I think they should have waited until she actually passes away.

I just thought it was in BAD TASTE:sick: ..granted OK paid for the rights to use the story but still the woman has not croaked yet..dying yes but dead no....:thumbsdow
OK! magazine could reportedly face an official inquiry after publishing a tribute issue to terminally ill Jade Goody while she is still alive.
This week's edition of the glossy magazine has been marketed as 'Jade Goody Official Tribute Issue 1981-2009' and carries the tagline 'In Loving Memory'.
Speaking to Mail Online, a spokesperson for the Press Complaints Commission confirmed that the industry watchdog had received 60 complaints to date.
"Quite a few of the complaints refer to the impact of the magazine's [coverage] on Jade's family," said Stephen Abell.
"We need to discuss the matter with Jade's family to see if they want us to take the complaints forward to investigate."
Speaking to Radio 1's Newsbeat earlier this week, Goody's publicist Max Clifford admitted that the reality star's mother-in-law Mary Tweed had not been happy.
"If they've got it wrong then they should apologise for that, as I'm sure that they will because no-one has handled Jade Goody more sensitively in recent times than OK! magazine," he said.
Yesterday, OK! defended its decision to publish the issue, saying that Goody's family understood and were "extremely grateful for the support that OK! has provided during this distressing period".
Jade Goody's mother Jackiey Budden has spoken about the emotional turmoil at the reality TV star's bedside as she succumbs to terminal cancer.
Budden has been at Goody's bedside in recent days after she returned to her Essex home from hospital, The Sun reports.
Of her time spent with Goody, Budden said: "We laugh, we cry, we laugh, we cry."
Budden reportedly took a short break from looking after her daughter to visit a beauty salon for a fake tan treatment.
"I'm feeling better now I'm brown," Budden is said to have told a woman who handed her flowers on her return.
Goody's son Bobby was taken to the house to visit his mother after repeatedly questioning why he could not see her.
A family friend said: "Bobby is just old enough now to understand he doesn't have long with mummy.
"He has been asking why they are not staying at the house with her and he just wants to see his mum."

i agree, everytime i open this thread i think im gonna read that shes died yet its still hours to live etc. im not being harsh but most people when they are told only have hours to live only live a few days at most, not over a week

My heart goes out to Jade and her two sons, no-one deserves to suffer from this horrible disease and I do admire Jade for having the guts to let the public see the horrendous effects Cancer has but it is now just turning into a circus and I don't know if it's jade, Jack and her mum or Mr Clifford who is milking it but it's getting to the stage that whenever we hear she's near the end we don't know if its the truth or not and you feel a complete sh*t for wishing they would shut up. Let's hope when Jade does finally pass away that Jack will go back to jail and not try and milk anymore publicity.

I doubt it's Jade feeding the media all this now. According to reports, she can't stay awake for more than a few minutes and she can't speak anymore, so it's probably someone else keeping the media circus going.
Hopefully when Jade does pass away, Jack will fade into obscurity and the media will have the sense not to follow Jade's children around as they are growing up.

Tragic Jade Goody is desperate to live long enough to treat her boys to a Mother’s Day “miracle”.
She dreams of one final happy day tomorrow with Bobby, five, and Freddy, four, before she dies.
The terminally-ill young mum has told her family: “I want them to have happy memories of me and to wish them a proper goodbye.”
It is this burning wish that has driven her to summon up her fading strength to defy death a little longer.
Jade had been determined that her boys would not see her suffer – but she has hated being apart from them.
And she has also hated the thought of her sons feeling lonely and upset as they have been kept away from her as her life slips away.
Bobby has been allowed to see his desperately sick mother and give her a cuddle after becoming deeply distressed about her plight.
Now Jade, 27, is willing herself to rally so she can see the boys – who have been staying with their dad Jeff Brazier, 29 – tomorrow.
A source said: “Jade has been determined her boys would not see her suffer. However, they’ve hated being away from her and want to see their mummy. They know something is wrong and just want to give her a cuddle.
“Jade has already defied medical opinion by surviving so long – she’s really proved what a fighter she is.
“Much of her willpower has come from the desire to see her boys again.
“A week ago, you’d have thought it would need a miracle for her to still be with us on Mother’s Day, she really did seem so ill.
“However, now that miracle will hopefully happen and she will feel well enough to have time with her sons.”
Well-wishers have been leaving flowers and notes for cancer-stricken Jade outside her home, a £750,000 barn conversion at Upshire, Essex.
Her mum Jackiey, 50, took a brief break from nursing Jade yesterday to visit a beauty salon for a fake tan.
On her return, she told a woman who handed her flowers: “I’m feeling better now I’m brown.”
Jackiey said of the emotional turmoil at Jade’s bedside: “We laugh, we cry, we laugh, we cry.”
Jade, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer last August, has spent the past few days under heavy sedation, drifting in and out of sleep.
She has indicated that she wants to be buried in the £3,500 ivory silk wedding dress she wore at her wedding to Jack Tweed last month.
Her funeral cortege is expected to travel through Bermondsey in south London, where she grew up, before a service at Buckhurst Hill, Essex.
It was revealed yesterday that Jade has arranged for a charity foundation to be set up in her memory.
She wants the foundation to play an active part in high-profile fundraising and to donate money to as many different charities as possible.
Just heard on BBC that Jade has passed away
yeah its true i saw it on sky news, that she passed away in her sleep.

Reality TV star Jade Goody dies after cancer fight

LONDON – Jade Goody, a dental assistant turned reality-TV star whose whirlwind journey from poverty to celebrity to tragedy became a national soap opera and morality tale in Britain, has died. The 27-year-old had cancer and died in her sleep early Sunday at her home in Essex, southeast England, her publicist Max Clifford said.
Goody gained fame at 21 in 2002, when she joined the reality television show "Big Brother," in which contestants live together for weeks and are constantly filmed. Loud and brash, she became a highly divisive star — initially mocked as an ignorant slob, then celebrated as a forthright everywoman by a hungry tabloid press.
It was a pattern of praise and condemnation that followed her for the rest of her life. Goody became a national touchstone who sparked debate about race, class and celebrity in Britain.
For some, Goody was a survivor who had overcome a tough childhood on a London housing estate. Her father was absent and often in jail, and her mother struggled with drug addiction.
But she also was reviled in the press during her stint on "Big Brother" for her weight, her big mouth and her apparent lack of general knowledge — she branded the English region of East Anglia "East Angular," and asked whether it was abroad.
She didn't win the show, but she did become a celebrity, earning millions through television and magazine appearances, an autobiography, a perfume and a series of exercise videos.
It was during a follow-up stint on a celebrity version of "Big Brother" in 2007 that Goody was labeled a racist bully for her treatment of another contestant, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. Goody bad-mouthed Shetty's cooking of Indian food, mocked her accent and referred to her as "Shilpa Poppadom." While complaints against the show skyrocketed, so did ratings.
Goody's treatment of Shetty sparked anger in India and Britain — even becoming the topic of debate during a House of Commons question-and-answer session with then Prime Minister Tony Blair. A major sponsor suspended its advertising deal with "Celebrity Big Brother," and a chain of perfume shops pulled a Goody-endorsed fragrance, ironically named "Shh..."
After television viewers voted to evict Goody from the show, Goody — herself of mixed race — insisted she wasn't a racist. "I argue like that with everybody. It wasn't just because of the color of her skin that I was that aggressive," she said during an interview on Britain's GMTV.
After the eviction, the Indian Tourism Office invited Goody to travel to the country. She did, visiting charity projects and later agreeing to appear on an Indian version of the show.
"The people of India have only seen a small part of me and I'd like to show them that there is more to me," Goody said. "I'm a mother of two, a businesswoman. I can't be all that bad."
It was during filming of the show in the summer of 2008 that Goody received a diagnosis of cervical cancer by telephone from a doctor in Britain. The camera captured the deeply personal moment, which was shown repeatedly on TV in Britain, though not in India.
The progress of her illness was chronicled in detail in the tabloid press and weekly magazines, to the unease of many.
"Goody isn't rich or famous because she won the lottery: she's rich and famous because we bought all those papers and magazines and ghosted books with her on the cover, because we watched her television series, because we cheered when she was good and booed when she was bad, because we sat around discussing her over lunch," wrote columnist India Knight in The Sunday Times. "Now she's dying, she's making us all feel bad so we want her to go away, like a broken toy that's stopped being fun."
In February, a bald and frail Goody, married fiancee Jack Tweed in an elaborate event staged at an elegant countryside hotel outside London. She reportedly sold the photos for more than $1 million.
Goody defended being paid for interviews and photo shoots.
"People will say I'm doing this for money," she said. "And they're right, I am. But not to buy flash cars or big houses — it's for my sons' future if I'm not here. I don't want my kids to have the same miserable, drug-blighted, poverty-stricken childhood I did."
Before her rise to fame, Goody worked for a period as a dental nurse. She had an unhappy childhood in a poor south London neighborhood. Her father was a heroin addict who served jail time for robbery and died in 2005, her mother a former crack addict who lost the use of an arm in a motorcycle accident.
While many empathized with Goody as she underwent surgery and chemotherapy in the public eye — filming part of the experience for another television series — she still inspired vitriol in others. A Web site was even set up, devoted to predicting when she would die.
In February 2009 Goody's publicist said the cancer had spread to her liver, bowel and groin.
Goody is survived by Tweed and her two sons Bobby and Freddie, with an ex-boyfriend, television presenter Jeff Brazier. She also is survived by her mother, Jackiey Budden. Budden told reporters Sunday: "Family and friends would like privacy at last."

Just saw this on BBC homepage, for some reason I was still very shocked.. :( On Mother's Day as well.. :( RIP, my thoughts go to her sons :( and her family xSame here, we were all expecting it but for some reason its still hard hitting. Im not gonna sit here and pretend I was the biggest fan of hers but I still feel quite saddened by this, especially considering how young she was. The majority of us (including me) don't know how lucky we are at the moment to be honest.
Big Brother producers have vowed to pay tribute to Jade Goody when the show returns for its tenth series this summer, a report claims.
Goody, who died following a battle with cancer today, became an overnight star after appearing on the Channel 4 reality show in 2002.
An insider told the News Of The World: "Jade was Big Brother. She completely embodied the show.
"This series is a milestone for the show, reaching the decade, so it will be made in tribute to Jade. The series is dedicated to her."
The programme's host Davina McCall is expected to speak about her memories of Goody in the live launch episode. A tribute video of the star's best moments on the show is also likely to feature.
The Big Brother source added: "We have all looked on in horror at what was happening to [Jade] after she became ill. Our biggest star, our only real star, faded in front of our eyes.
"We cannot deny Jade's importance to Big Brother and we definitely can't deny how much she meant to our viewers. They genuinely loved her and so did we."
Goody was first diagnosed with cervical cancer in August last year. The disease later spread to her liver, bowel and groin.
Tributes have been posted for Jade Goody on the Digital Spy forums after news of her death was announced this morning.
Fans of the star since her introduction to the British public as a "dental nurse from London" on the 2002 series of Big Brother have posted messages on her appreciation thread.
"Rest in peace Jade sweetheart," said Hotscotch. The member added: "My thoughts are very much with her boys and family today. I am going to try and enjoy my children even more today although I can't stop crying at the moment."
Another member, geraniums, posted: "What can I say? Jade - you made me laugh, made me cry, made me angry and made me exasperated. But overall, your sheer zest for life, your determination, and big heart all made me like you. You made mistakes - by God what mistakes! - but in the end you sought to take care of your two lovely boys in the only way you knew. You liked being in the public eye so much because you said it made you feel loved. That tells us a lot about your childhood.
"So rest in peace Jade - and thanks for the memories, both good and bad. Much sympathy to your two boys, family and friends."
EddyBee said: "RIP Jade, my sweet princess, and thank you."
Other tributes have been added to threads elsewhere in the forums.
"RIP Jade," said GetMeOuttaHere. "Thanks for making me laugh, scream, cry and get mad at your sheer ignorance at times. Above all thanks for showing me you were human and made mistakes like the rest of us."
Jade Cerisa Lorraine Goody was born on June 5, 1981 to parents Andrew and Jackiey.
Jackiey Budden brought up Jade in Bermondsey, South London. Her father Andrew Goody, who left Jackiey Budden when Jade was aged two, served several prison sentences and died at the age of 42 from a drug overdose.
In her 2006 autobiography, Goody revealed that as a child she had witnessed her mother and friends talking illegal drugs. She also claimed to have hidden her mother's drugs before police raids on their home.
At the age of 21 she was brought to the public's attention on Channel 4 reality show Big Brother. Introduced by Davina McCall as a "dental nurse from London", she quickly became one of the biggest characters in the series.
Her most notable moments on the show included stripping totally naked when drunk, allegedly participating in a sex act with fellow housemate PJ and asking questions such as "is East Anglia abroad" and "Rio de Janeiro, ain't that a person?"
Goody was vilified by the press during her time in the house, but survived until the final, where she finished fourth behind eventual winner Kate Lawler. Despite being ridiculed for her behaviour on the show, Goody went on to earn the most money out of all BB3 contestants, picking up numerous TV appearances, fitness DVD contracts and magazine deals.
She would go on to become one of Britain's most famous and divisive reality TV stars, appearing on shows including Wife Swap with Major Charles Ingram and Channel 5's Back To Reality, where her behaviour towards fellow contestant Rik Waller was criticised as bullying.
Alongside her mainstream TV work, she also starred in a string of Living reality series, such as Just Jade, Jade's PA and Jade: The Next Chapter, which featured insights into her colourful private life.
At the height of her fame she was ranked the 25th most influential person in the world by Heat magazine. She also released two best-selling autobiographies in 2006 and 2008, and with her Shh... Jade Goody fragrance had one of the most successful celebrity perfume brands in the UK.
Goody's love life included relationships with TV presenter Jeff Brazier and footballer Ryan Amoo. Brazier is the father of Jade's two sons, Freddie and Bobby, who were born in Essex. She met future husband Jack Tweed at a nightclub in 2005. Tweed lied to Goody about his occupation, age and heritage on their first meeting, but the couple still entered a long-term tumultuous relationship. The reality TV star claimed that Tweed made her feel "alive" and "special" and regularly praised his behaviour around her kids.
Following allegations about Tweed sleeping with other women and Goody's miscarriage with his child in 2007, the pair ended their relationship. Their on-off romance was rekindled in 2008 when she fell ill with cancer.
Goody, Tweed and Jackiey Budden all appeared together on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007. The trio's arrival on the reality show would spark the most controversial moment in the Channel 4 show's history and Goody's career. Goody, S Club 7 singer Jo O'Meara and glamour model Danielle Lloyd were accused of racism and bullying towards Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, prompting 44,500 viewer complaints to Ofcom. The incident was discussed on news broadcasts and commented on by the future Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
After leaving the house, Goody denied that she was a racist, but admitted that she was "disgusted" by her actions. Her publicist Max Clifford claimed that her decision to return to Big Brother was "terrible", confessing that it may have "ruined a very lucrative career". Despite several public apologies, Goody lost tabloid support and several business deals following the controversy.
She went on to appear on the Indian version of Big Brother in August 2008, where she was told the news that she had cervical cancer in the diary room. She immediately flew home to the UK, where she discovered that the cancer was "advanced and life-threatening". In February 2009, Max Clifford confirmed that the cancer had spread to her liver, bowel and groin, meaning she probably only had months to live.
Goody launched a PR campaign to raise cash for her two sons, selling pictures of her wedding to Jack Tweed on February 22, 2009 to OK! magazine for £700,000. The publicity generated by Goody's illness dramatically increased the numbers of females requesting cervical smears in the UK, with an estimated 20 per cent boost in tests.
She is survived by her husband Jack Tweed, mother Jackiey, 50, and two sons Bobby, 5 and Freddie, 4.
RIP Jade x

R.I.P jade...........
We can send man to the moon, and information over the world at a click of a button, but we can't find a cure for cancer? How many more people must we loose to this awful awful disease?
I shall admit I didn't like Jade, I found her a vile person, and I really didn't approve of this whole publicity media circus that has surrounded her death, but as a feelow human being I can not help but to feel sorry for her dying at such a young age in such an awful way, and leaving behind such young boys. It is a very very sad story in deed.
