Freeview help!

Ok so Ive had freeview for a couple of years now and for ages ive had a probelm with it, I cant even remember how long its been going on for but most fo the time when I turn my Tv on it comes on to the last channel I watched like it should. Then I press the number to change channels and once ive done that it comes up no signal. SO I wait and then it come back on and asks me to scan my box again so I do, then I can change the channel and its fine.
But I should havent to scan the box, there are no new changes

This happens to me too, it is getting worse now as well, I have to choose Channel 5 for example, wait to see what is on and then go to ITV or BBC2. If I try to select some of the channels direct, there is a technical fault or no signal unless I 'tune' into a different channel first. Don't know why and the OH is a TV engineer and does not have an explanation, but there were proper valves in tellys when he worked in that environment :D

I dont tune in my telly, I just turn it on and say press 3 on my remote, its says no signal comes back and and asks me to re-scan. It does it no matter what channel I press when I first turn on my TV

Sounds like a common problem then, thought it was just my telly or sky box :)

Buy my brother who has the same freeview as me, doesnt have this problem, and surely it shouldnt be happening everytime I turn the telly on

we have a sagem freeview box which we have had for 5 years, we hadnt used it for a while and after a tidy up a few weeks ago we turned it back on, since then we have managed to watch for about 5 mins and then it tells us new channels ahve been found and to rescan.

Its soo annoying we havent even bothered to turn it on for about a week!! thank god we have sky in front room

Might be something to do with your aerial signal.

The OH is always banging on about the quality of the box - the Sky White Box is meant to be the best but I suppose there are loads of different versions about, so which one is going to be the best?
