One of Emmerdale's most legendary characters Annie Sugden will return to the show for 3 episodes early next year. Annie played by Sheila Mercier will return to the village after a 12 year absence to bury son Jack.
Sheila is due to film the 3 episodes just before Christmas. Annie was last seen in 1996 when she returned to tell Jack that she was selling Emmerdale Farm.
Surely Robert Sudgen will also return for his dad's funeral
