As the new year dawns, love and romance blossoms in Hollyoaks – but dramatic events threaten to disturb the seemingly contented village.
Josh plucks up the courage to ask for Amy's hand in marriage. However, with Amy about to give birth to Ste's baby, she's forced to choose between the violent Ste, the true love of her life, or Josh, a man who would do just about anything for her.
There's a rift in the Barnes household when Sarah reveals that she had a one-night stand with Zoe, her dad's girlfriend.
Ravi and Nancy's relationship starts to pick up pace but becomes complicated when they both have a fling – with the same person.
Zak confesses his undying love for Michaela; and Malachy and Mercedes face a life together dealing with HIV.
Warren continues to draw Calvin in to his dodgy dealings but there's a shock in store for Calvin when he realises that the person he thought he had killed isn’t actually dead.
Steph returns to the village determined to make a new start and put the past behind her, using the money that Max left her to set up a dance school.
And there's a host of new faces arriving in Hollyoaks including Zak's disabled sister, Hayley; Warren's foster brother, Spencer; and Dom finds a new girlfriend, a lap dancer called Loretta.
I think we knew a lot of the above but there are a few surprises in them, can't wait for the Dom and the Lap Dancer to kick off - always the quiet ones you have to watch out for!!
