Batman film The Dark Knight leads the 35th People's Choice Awards after landing seven nominations.
The film has nods in categories including favourite movie as well as favourite action movie.
It will compete against Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull for the same awards.
Winners, voted for by the American public, will be announced during a live show hosted by Queen Latifah in Los Angeles on 7 January.
Christian Bale is up for favourite leading man for his role as the Caped Crusader against Brad Pitt and Mark Wahlberg.
He is also nominated alongside Robert Downey Jr for Iron Man and Will Smith for Hancock in the favourite superhero and male action star categories.
Anne Hathaway leads the female categories with nominations for favourite leading lady against Kate Hudson and Queen Latifah, and favourite female action star against Angelina Jolie and Cate Blanchett.
In the television categories, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Grey's Anatomy and House are up for favourite TV drama, while Two and a Half Men, Ugly Betty and Samantha Who? are nominated for favourite TV comedy.
Rihanna is nominated in three categories
R&B star Chris Brown dominates the music categories with four nominations including favourite male singer and R&B song for With You.
Rihanna and Alicia Keys both secured three nominations each for the female award categories.
Coldplay are also up for favourite group against Maroon 5 and Rascal Flatts.
Winners for the 41 categories will be chosen by a public online vote through the People's Choice website until 7 December.
Last year's awards were handed out during a pre-recorded ceremony due to the Hollywood writers' strike.
