The music scene changes so quick and fast. Artists find they aren't relevant any more. The only way to survive is to keep producing new stuff and adapting to the times, make it contemporary, make it popular.

What worked five years ago wont work now, as we've seen with Anastacia and Dido's shambolic comebacks. And why bands like Sugababes have just lost all their magic.

It makes you wonder how Cliff Richard, Elton John etc have last so long, and it shows you that they need to be admired for going the distance. How many artists in the charts now will still be knocking out stuff in three decades time? Not many I tell you.

I agree with you... you need to keep changing.. look at Madonna she keeps reinventing herself and only (as far as I can see) had one appalling comeback with the American life stuff...
