Johnny Briggs has confessed that he is finding life away from Coronation Street "boring".
Despite having a role in ITV's Echo Beach, Briggs, who played Corrie businessman Mike Baldwin for 30 years, admitted that he misses working on the soap.
"I'm finding semi-retirement boring. Very boring," he told the Press Association.
Briggs added that he would like to be involved in the 50th anniversary celebration for Coronation Street.
"Oh yes, of course I would," he commented. "I mean, I was in it for 30 years and I enjoyed every day. There wasn't a day where I thought: 'Oh, what am I doing here?' All the cast were great and the technicians were great."
The 72-year-old also revealed his favourite storyline from his time on the soap, saying: "I think the trilogy between Ken Barlow, Deirdre and me. It got 22 million viewers. Unbelievable."
