Everything's being revived these days. In the last few years we've seen Doctor Who and Survivors stage successful comebacks - not to mention the (sadly, short-lived) return of Dale Winton's Supermarket Sweep in 2007 - and soon we can add Day of The Triffids to that list, too. Next up is 90210, a fresh take on the iconic '90s teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210. We speak to Ryan Eggold, who plays West Beverly High's cool young English teacher, to find out more.
In your words, what is 90210?
"It's hard to say what it is. People call it a remake, or a spinoff - I don't know what the heck it is! We take the premise from the original show, which is this family moving from the Midwest to Beverly Hills and then being lost in a new world. The basics are all there, and then we add a lot of new storylines, characters and things like that."
Does it reference the old show much?
"It does, yeah. We have Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty return as their characters from the original, so that brings a lot of the original show with it. We play on a lot of similar themes, character dynamics and relationships as the original. And yes, there are references to old characters and storylines."
Did you watch the original show?
"Not much, I was watching Saved By The Bell instead! I remember seeing it on from time to time - it was such a massive show - but it was too mature for me when I was watching it. I was 6 in 1990, so it didn't really appeal to me then."
You play Mr. Matthews, the English teacher at the school. What's he like?
"He doesn't act the way a teacher should. He's much more fun-spirited and he doesn't really care about the rules so much. He's ruled by the kids a little bit and less in control of their actions. He's often a jerk, but beneath that he has a good heart and really wants to help these kids."
Is it fair to say he is the comedic element of show?
"Yeah, he definitely has a lot of humour because he's outspoken and a bit of an outsider in this Beverly Hills world. He calls it as he sees it. While everyone else is playing the Beverly Hills game, he's like 'what the hell are you talking about?'"
How do you think the British audience will take to 90210?
"Gosh, I don't know. I think it's going to do well because it's about Beverly Hills, which is something fun to the UK. Just like a show about London would do well here, because it's not something we have. But it could go the other way, they could be like 'who cares about Beverly Hills?'"
Recently there's been talk of a Melrose Place revival. What are your thoughts on that?
"I have two thoughts. My first is that it's extremely depressing that there's no original content to be made. Hollywood seems to be out of ideas and just taking old things that have worked and redoing them. I know there's writers out there with new material, so it just seems lazy to take old shows that have worked and do them again. But then again it's a business, so I get it from that standpoint. You know, any remake is a new show - because every cop show has the same premise, and every teen drama has the same sort of premise. So I have mixed feelings about Melrose."
That said then, which other shows do you think could be revived? Saved By The Bell, maybe?
"If they did Saved By The Bell again, I would be very excited. But then again, as a true fan of the original, I would be very skeptical. I'd be very wary of a remake doing something I had loved. I don't think it could ever be the original."

just a question though i didnt watch the original BH who is kelly's son dad? do the people who watched the original beverly hills know this or is this something that is still to come out in the show since the name has never been mentioned?

Phil Collins's daughter has reportedly been cast in two upcoming episodes of The CW's 90210.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lily Collins will play a West Beverly student called Phoebe, who is the arch-rival of Annie Wilson (Shenae Grimes).
The 20-year-old will appear in the season's penultimate and final episodes, which are scheduled to air in May.
Collins is currently a student at the University of Southern California and works as a presenter for Nickelodeon.

90210 star Dustin Milligan is moving to a new postcode after getting dumped as a regular on the hit show.
Milligan, who plays popular character Ethan in the Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off will not be among the show regulars when the series returns this autumn, according to Entertainment Weekly magazine.
Representatives for the show are refusing to comment, but a 90210 insider has confirmed that Milligan's contract option is not being picked up for the new season.
Dustin Milligan will not be returning to 90210 for the second season, reports Entertainment Weekly.
The actor's contract is not being picked up, but the door will apparently be left open for him to appear at a later date to wrap up Ethan's story.
Executive producer Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair said of season two: "If Gossip Girl is about youth in New York, I want to [make 90210] about youth in L.A. and Beverly Hills."
She added: "The show tried to be a lot of things to a lot of people in its first season. I think the centre lies with the generation of kids that are in high school now. I'm not interested in casting people for stunt value."
Milligan's co-star Matt Lanter, who plays bad boy Liam, has recently been promoted to a series regular.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the Abercrombie & Fitch model has been cast in the role of Teddy - a smart, athletic and charming newcomer.

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis's eldest daughter will play the character Gia for at least one episode in the Los Angeles-based drama.

Ethan stays in Montana with his dad - this is mentioned in Episode 1 od Season 2 the actor is not in any of Season 2
Its a shame i liked Ethan with Silver they had chemistry (btw the actors who play Ethan and Silver are dating off screen)

I loved the whole Silver and Ethan chemistry, it would have been amazing for them to get together because she seemed so relaxed with him.
Yeah I knew the two actors were dating in real-life, thats probably why they had great chemistry on screen.
I wanna know what the hell Annie hit, it definetely looked like a person, I first thought Ethan because of the whole contract ending.
So basically next season may consist of Annie being a train wreck.

The pair has been romantically linked for several months after they met on the set of the Beverly Hills 90210 spin-off earlier this year.
Lutz was reported to be so enamoured with the blonde that he rallied for her to get a part in new Twilight movie New Moon.

Garth will re-reprise the role of West Bev guidance counselor Kelly Taylor beginning with Episode 3. Now you might be thinking: Duh, of course she's back. Why wouldn't she be? Well, I'm told that one of new showrunner Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair's mandates from the network was to recalibrate the show away from the old and toward the new.
But no matter. Garth is back and will appear in multiple Season 2 episodes, as it's rumored to be Kelly who first connects the dots vis-*-vis Annie's harrowing season-finale joyride.
The new season of the CW's 90210 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 8/7 CT.

The cast of “90210” continues to grow with the addition of television veteran John Schneider.
Schneider, known for his roles on “The Dukes of Hazzard,” “Smallville,” and “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” will play the stepfather to bad-boy Liam Court (played by Matt Lanter) this fall, according to Zap2It.com. The site reported that Liam’s stepfather, a plastic surgeon, is a bit of a jerk.
This is nothing new to fans as last season on “90210,” Liam’s character was threatened by his stepfather (off-screen) to clean up his act, stop skipping classes, and participate in school activities, which led him to take Naomi Clark (AnnaLynne McCord) to prom. However, at the end of the season finale, Liam was shown being whisked away to some sort of “scared straight” program or boot camp.
Liam’s character is expected to return to Beverly Hills in season two, and Lanter commented earlier this summer that more of his character’s family life will be revealed.
"It's '90210' so I'm sure there are going to be some new romances and some jealousy and backstabbing," Lanter said in an Eonline report.
It is not yet known if Liam and Naomi will get back together in the upcoming season of “90210” following their fallout after prom, but it is kind of interesting that Schneider played a porn producer on “Nip/Tuck” who slept with McCord’s character, Eden Lord. Will television history repeat itself? Let’s hope for Liam’s sake, that his father stays out of his love life.

Ann Gillespie is coming back for more as Jackie Taylor-Silver.
Gillespie has signed on to appear in several episodes, starting in October, and her character is said to be seeking some sort of reconciliation with daughters Kelly and Silver.
Jennie Garth, who's played Gillepie's daughter since the original 90210 days, has also signed on to appear in multiple episodes for Season 2.

90210 star Annalynne McCord has called off her romance with Twilight star Kellan Lutz, according to a new report.
The couple has been dogged by rumours of Lutz's infidelity, which came to a head at a New Year celebration when the vampire actor was reportedly spotted locking lips with another woman.
And after the former model failed to buy McCord a present for her 22nd birthday last month, the blonde beauty decided she'd had enough - putting an end to their relationship last week (ends07Aug09), reports EOnline.com.
A source tells the website, "She broke up with him. He wasn't a good boyfriend. She forgave him (for kissing another girl). He showed up at her house with flowers and took her to dinner (for her birthday), but that was it. No gift."

Amalia Zinser has been cast as Ivy, a surfer chick who will tempt 90210's guys, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
Tomboy Ivy is just one of West Bev's guys, and as such she'll flirt with both Dixon and Liam (which doesn't bode well for Silver and Naomi) at the beach. "She's the quintessential California girl — easy-going, athletic and full of fun," says a mole. Ivy's first appearance will be in October.
Though Zinser is a relative newcomer to Hollywood, you might recognize her from recent guest-starring gigs on Cold Case, Southland and Cupid.
The second season of 90210 begins on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 8/7c on the CW.
The new 90210 has seen a lot of changes since original show-runners Jeff Judah and Gabe Sachs handed off the reins to Rebecca Rand Kirshner last spring. The show is brighter, sunnier, all around more Californian. The storylines have amped up the teen drama (street racing, a sex tape and one heck of a hit-and-run accident in the season finale), and there are a few new faces as well.
Series regular Dustin Milligan, who played Ethan, has left the show, and in his place newcomer Trevor Donovan has arrived. You might recognize Donovan from his stint as Jeremy Horton on Days of Our Lives or from his other life as an Abercrombie & Fitch model. He plays Teddy Montgomery, a tennis star who is also the son of an Oscar-winning actor. Though by all accounts Teddy is very much a golden boy, Donovan tells us that he has some secrets too, including a romantic past with one of 90210's leading ladies.
As the show prepped for its second-season premiere (Tuesday, Sept. 8, 8/7c, CW), TVGuide.com spoke to Donovan about his new gig, who Teddy might have eyes for and how his arrival in the new new 90210 will shake things up.
TVGuide.com: Tell us about Teddy. What does he bring to the table?
Trevor Donovan: Teddy brings a very Southern Californian summer vibe -- the beach, sunshine, surfing, he brings a lot of that element. He's also a very genuine person. Any sort of comments or things that he does that may rub people the wrong way or offend anybody, it isn't intentional. Because he grew up in the entertainment world around a lot of adults, he's mature beyond his years. He doesn't fall into all the teen drama stuff.
TVGuide.com: But since this is 90210, we have to ask: Does Teddy have a dark side?
Donovan: He's definitely going to end up having some secrets, stuff from his past. You'll see a darker or grittier side of him eventually.
TVGuide.com: What has changed from Season 1?
Donovan: Man, everything's changed, from the look of the show, the lighting, the soundtrack, the scoring — the audio's changed. There are new writers, some new directors, production. I think in first season the character development was a little scattered. I think the storylines interact with each other better.
TVGuide.com: So what can you tease about what's upcoming for Teddy?
Donovan: He's bringing a little drama and sexual tension. There might be a love triangle between him, Adrianna and Navid. He's not the type of guy to jump into a relationship, so there's going to be interactions with different women throughout the episodes as well.
TVGuide.com: Yeah, I hear Teddy's a bit of a manwhore. Will he ever get a steady girlfriend?
Donovan: [Laughs] Well, I wouldn't call him a manwhore per se! He's not a player; he's not running around lying to these girls and dating a bunch of girls at different times. He's very honest and straightforward. I think he's just much more realistic about adult, more mature relationships instead of thinking, "Oh, this is the one and only" like a lot of high school kids do. He does genuinely care about all these women in his life. When he's dating a girl, he's upfront with them and lets them know that he's not Iooking for any sort of relationship. He's not deceitful in any way.
TVGuide.com: Did you watch the original Beverly Hills, 90210? Were you a fan?
Donovan: Yeah, I grew up in Mammoth Lakes, and they shot an episode up there and I was hanging around when I was on the ski team. I was very, very involved in athletics, so I didn't watch a lot of TV, but I definitely watched a lot of 90210.
TVGuide.com: Who is Teddy like from the original?
Donovan: He's like a combination of Steve and Brandon. He's a bit of a ladies' man, but a nice guy, but they're also trying to write some goofball humor to it. Any humor that comes out of him is supposed to be very nonchalant, not intentional.

Donovan: I'm having a great time; it's a blast.

Why should Gossip Girl be the only primetime soap having a gay ‘ol time experimenting with its characters sexuality? This January, 90210 will embark on a major same-sex storyline that will pair the show’s token lesbian, Gia, played by Rumer Willis, with another major (and heretofore straight) female character.
“This isn’t a fling,” insists executive producer Rebecca Sinclair. “We’re coming at this [relationship] from a genuine place and not going, ‘Let’s do a titillating story that will grab some promotion.’ This is a real aspect of teenager life that’s interesting… And there’s been a real void in the 90210 universe in terms of gay and bisexual characters.”

The CW has confirmed rumours of an upcoming lesbian romance story arc for 90210, reports Zap2It.
Rumer Willis's character, Gia, will soon begin a romantic relationship with Jessica Lowndes's Adrianna, who dealt with drug addiction and an unplanned pregnancy in the show's first season.
"This isn't a fling," producer Rebecca Sinclair told Entertainment Weekly. "We're coming at this [relationship] from a genuine place and not going, 'Let's do a titillating story that will grab some promotion.' This is a real aspect of teenager life that's interesting… And there's been a real void in the 90210 universe in terms of gay and bisexual characters."
The same-sex storyline kicks off in January. 90210 airs on Tuesday nights.

Ex Charmed actor Grey Vaughan is joining 90210 in a recurring role
Kelly Lynch has signed on to 90210 to play a new love interest to English teacher Ryan Matthews.
Lynch will play Laurel, a fortysomething, pot-smokin' hottie who has a whirlwind romance with Matthews (Ryan Eggold). She has quite a history under her belt, as evidenced by her colorful stories about various rock stars and celebrities.
There is, of course, more to Laurel than at first appears. She's also the mother of one of Matthews' students.
Lynch is confirmed for one episode, which airs in January, but is likely to recur on the show.
Hal Ozsan has joined the cast of The CW's 90210.
The actor will play West Beverly Hills High's newest faculty advisor, reports Entertainment Weekly.
The 33-year-old is known for playing Todd Carr on Dawson's Creek and Michael Cassidy on Kyle XY. He recently appeared on an episode of Supernatural.

Life for 90210's Adrianna Tate-Duncan has been anything but quiet. Last year at West Beverly Hills High, the feisty brunette battled a drug addiction, fell pregnant by an unknown man and, consequently, gave her daughter away for adoption. With so much already going on for the troubled teen, the writers must surely be giving her a break during season two, right? Wrong! Recently, Tube Talk caught up with actress Jessica Lowndes to see if there's any chance of her alter-ego becoming No Drama Adrianna. Her response? Read on to find out!
Adrianna had a dark story arc in season one. Will things improve for her this season?
"She gave birth to the baby, realised she wasn't ready, and season two is after summer and she's decided to turn over a new leaf. She's quit acting, she's quit singing, and she's 100% focused on school work. She has a new slogan: No Drama Adrianna."
How does her relationship with Navid progress?
"At the beginning of the season, they're closer than ever. But in the first episode, her first boyfriend Teddy comes on the scene and he's who she lost her virginity to. So the 'No Drama' thing lasts maybe half an episode! Drama is her new drug this year."
Has she kicked the drug habit for good?
"I think it's something she's struggling with. Even at the end of the last season, she relapsed while she was pregnant. That could definitely happen again. She's trying to stay strong, but it's difficult when she's been through so much."
Is it possible that we'll meet her daughter?
"It's possible! At the start of the season she wants to try and be a normal teenager but it's obviously something she'll never forget. It's hard because different situations will trigger it, whether it's kids swimming in a pool... It's something that will definitely always stay with her."
Would she make a good mother?
"I think she wasn't ready because of her history with drugs and the way she deals with stress and anxiety. But at the end of the day she's very responsible. It sounds weird, but she's a hard worker. She has qualities to admire - she does the right thing, she doesn't care what other people think. One day, when she's in the right situation, she'll make an amazing mother."
Eventually Adrianna and Gia grow close. How does that come about?
"Gia is somebody on Blaze news, she's in AA with Adrianna and they have a bond over that. Gia helps her over various situations. They have a lot in common and she's there for her when no-one else is. They have an amazing connection and it's a beautiful friendship that develops."
So is Adrianna a lesbian?
"I think later on in the season Adrianna gets very close with Gia. She'd never thought about being a lesbian but then when she finds out she has feelings for her, she really starts to think about it. Gia knew her whole life, but for Adrianna, she's questioning her sexuality. She likes the closeness she feels with Gia and it doesn't matter what gender that person is - Gia makes her feel good."
Do you think they'd work as a couple?
"I think once you see the friendship, you'll understand the sweetness of it all. It doesn't start out as romantic, because Adrianna's got Navid. Gia's in a situation with her ex-girlfriend, so Adrianna gives her a little kiss, then it develops into something more!"
Life is rather turbulent for the 90210 kids in Beverly Hills, where bed-hopping, drug-taking and blackmail are all part of a day's work. Now, after a memorable first season of drama from buff bodies in scantily-clad beachwear, the teen drama is back for a second run. What's in store this time around? Is a Melrose crossover on the cards? Will Liam and Naomi ever reunite? And, more importantly, will Jen let them? Recently, we caught up with Matt Lanter - BH's bad boy Liam Court - to discuss what lies ahead in season two.
The first episode of season two sees Liam return. Is he back specifically for Naomi?
"He's back and he's trying to get back with Naomi. He messed up and he realises what happened, so the first good chunk of the season we're going to see him try to find a way to rectify the situation. He wants to let her know the truth. For some reason, Jen keeps coming around and making things tough. There's gonna be a big struggle there for the three of them."
Does Liam genuinely have feelings for her?
"At this point, he does - or he thinks he does! He opened up to her and he realises that he could be with her. Later in season two, once they find each other a little bit, they kind of go through times where they question whether they really know each other and like each other."
Do you think they're a good match?
"I do. I think she's so wild and free-spirited and he's relaxed and chilled and solid. They're good because he could be that solid base for her and she can bring him out of that bubble."
At this point, Naomi still believes that Liam slept with Annie. How far is she prepared to go to get revenge?
"Right now, she's hurt, so revenge isn't part of her plan. Liam and his group of surfing friends - who we're gonna be introduced to this season - actually figure out a way to get revenge on Jen!"
Liam's been involved with a few girls in the series now. If things don't work out with Naomi, who's next on his list?
"Who knows?! They're always sending us back and forth between different girls! A lot of fans wanted Liam and Annie together. But you never know. They switch us around a lot, but I guess that's kind of what happens in high school."
Has Liam changed at all since he's been away?
"We get to see more of his home life this season. We understand where he comes from. He's more of a round character. He's changed a lot - he went to boot camp over summer and he learns to channel some of his aggression and you're gonna see how exactly that plays out."
Are we going to explore his family?
"We're definitely gonna explore that. We've got his mum coming in and we also meet his step-dad in season two - who sent him off to boot camp - and we get to see his home life. We see that his mum and him used to be this team - them two versus the world - and we see how his step-dad came in and ruined his life. He doesn't have a good relationship with him! That causes a lot of issues."
Is there any chance of Dustin Milligan returning as Ethan?
"I really don't know. I know that last season his character moved away, so I'm assuming not.."
There were talks this year about a possible crossover between 90210 and Melrose Place. Have you heard anything official yet?
"We've not. When I first came on, we were hearing rumblings about that, but it's been a while since I've heard that. We're not gonna see anything like that during season two, but who knows? There's a good chance of that in the future because we're in the same town. It would depend on the story and how they do it."
How long do you see the show running for?
"This is not official, but I'm pretty sure that we're going to season three. I could see it going for four or five years. I'd love to be a part of it for a few more years to come."

Ryan O'Neal has joined the cast of 90210, it has been confirmed.
The 68-year-old actor has landed the role of Teddy's father, who has been referenced several times on the CW series as "a really famous actor".
Teddy - played by Trevor Donovan - has emerged as a central figure in the show's second season after becoming briefly involved with his ex-girlfriend Adrianna Tate-Duncan.
According to Access Hollywood, O'Neal, who was engaged to the late Farrah Fawcett, is due to begin filming his scenes in April.
O'Neal's previous small screen credits include Bones and Desperate Housewives.

Silver's big sister has played a decent-sized role on the new "90210," but Jennie Garth, the lady behind Kelly Taylor, told AccessHollywood.com at a pre-Golden Globe gift suite that she's pretty much moved on.
"I'm not really doing it anymore," Garth said. "[I haven't been doing it for] a while."
Whether Kelly's departure from the show will be addressed as a storyline, we don't know, though we're predicting she'll just fade quietly into the background. Or, perhaps, she'll run off to be with Dylan again.
As for Jennie, who is married to "Twilight" star Peter Facinelli, she's now busy developing a project with her husband and writing a children's book as well.

After a little initial flurry in the figures the re-work of the 1990’s hit show 90210 came back with a bang, guaranteeing a ratings success for the CW network.
With a whole new cast of characters as well as cameos from old stalwarts, the brand new 90210 delivers all the bang for your buck and all the glorious bitchiness and backstabbing of the original.
The next season is set to air in the close future – a date has yet to be released by CW as they gear up to debut their new line-up – but don’t expect to see all your favorite characters when 90210 returns to the screens.
Jennie Garth has already announced that she won’t be renewing her role as Kelly Taylor on the the next season and now RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal that one of the new characters will also be noticeably absent.
Veteran actor and past soap star, Rob Estes, who plays Harry Wilson the school principal, has abruptly and unexpectedly quit the show amongst rumors of contract negotiations falling short of the mark.
“The bottom line is that Rob won’t be on the show next season,” a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. “ The producers, the studio and Rob came to the conclusion together that his role had ran its course. There just wasn’t enough for Rob to do because the show is more about the kids.”
But going on to hint at the real reason for Rob quitting the show, the source continues, “Rob’s an expensive actor and wants to be challenged and it became increasingly clear that most of the penny lifting was going to the younger cast members of the show, who Rob adores. He’s absolutely leaving the show on good terms.”
But another source tells a slightly different story about Estes’ departure. “Rob’s not happy about it all,” the source tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. “Basically they couldn’t agree on money and that’s all it comes down to.”
“Rob’s an experienced actor and feels he deserves to be compensated accordingly, but the CW just want to cut costs and they want to reward all these young, hot, up and coming, and therefore cheaper, actors and actresses instead.
“Rob was loving working on the show and was really looking forward to continuing to do so. Plus, to be frank, he needs the money, this is going to hit him hard.”
Jennie Garth’s story seems to be a little different though, Randy James, Jenni Garth’s manager, tells RadarOnline.com, “Jennie never had a contract on the show. It was never our intention for her to go on as a series regular, nor was it theirs. She was just doing the show episode by episode.”
“She came onto the show to help them re-launch it and I think that she enjoyed the time that she was on, and they feel she was valuable, but she wants to spend more time with her kids and pursue other projects. She has three young daughters and isn’t interested in that heavy of a workload at this point in her life.”
“Saying she quit the show isn’t a fair way to put it because she was never under contract. When there was a storyline that she enjoyed and fit her schedule, she’d go on and do it. It was a very casual relationship. There were no contract or money disputes at all.”

According to TV Guide, the Latin pop star's character will become romantically involved with Jessica Lowndes's Adrianna.
Boneta will reportedly play a young musician called Javier in episodes scheduled to air in May.
90210 returns with new episodes Tuesday, March 9 on The CW.

Since Farrah left us in June of last year, Ryan O’Neal has rarely been seen. But his recent performance on the CW’s reboot of 90210 has many people there wishing they’ll never see him again;
The 68-year old actor is now taping scenes for a guest appearance on the show, due to start airing in April when 90210 returns from a mid-season break. But he’s driving both the cast and crew up the wall by forgetting his lines.
Due to play Teddy Montgomery’s famous but mostly absent dad, Ryan was spied this week in a quiet Hollywood suburb, filming scenes in a fire-red vintage corvette with Trevor Donovan, who plays Teddy.
The snag is, he’s so bad at recalling his lines, the crew and cast have resorted to writing them on cue-cards [also aptly called 'idiot boards'] which are then hidden in flower pots, table lamps and a dozen other places, so one scene doesn’t take a whole day.
The Enquirer says Ryan’s quite upset by his unprofessional performance and keeps apologizing, but that’s not exactly helping diffuse the overall mood on the set.

Following his split from childhood sweetheart Adrianna Tate-Duncan, he suffered a life-threatening fall at the hands of local drug dealer Jasper - and the drama doesn't stop there. As 90210 heads towards its second season finale, actor Michael Steger promises a "major confession" from his alter ego, which has far-reaching ramifications for those around him. Intrigued, we caught up with the man himself for a quick chat.
How is Navid coping since he broke up with Adrianna?
"He's having a hard time - especially since he was pushed down a flight of stairs! Just when things are going really good for him, something bad happens. But he's thrown himself into work at Blaze News and he's since started falling for his star reporter Lila."
Is he fully over Adrianna?
"He and Adrianna do end up becoming friends, but I think he still has feelings for her. He's really happy with Lila for now though and things are going well between them. It's gonna be a long-running romance - it looks like he could be happy for once!"
Adrianna and Gia start a romance soon. How does Navid feel about that?
"According to Navid, he's responsible for her wanting to be gay - he thinks he's made her not like guys! The whole thing makes him feel really insecure. Gia and Adrianna get close, but I'm hoping they don't become a proper couple. Navid works with Gia and he likes her, but there's this resentment building up because of what happens with Adrianna. It's a hard situation for him to come to terms with."
Navid has played a big part in trying to bring Jasper down. How do things progress with that story?
"No-one else believes Navid when he says that Jasper pushed him, so he recruits Adrianna to help make Jasper confess about the drugs. He ends up buying cocaine to plant in Jasper's locker with a plan to call the authorities. Navid's going to end up in trouble again - big trouble!"
What will Jasper do with his knowledge about Annie and the hit-and-run?
"There's a blackmail story coming up. Just when you think Jasper's down, he finds a way to manipulate the situation! He takes control of Annie and it's interesting to see how she is around him. He's a smart guy and he knows how to get to people. You're gonna see just how smart he is in the next episode - he does some sneaky stuff."
Who is the one person who could bring Jasper down?
"Without giving too much away, it's someone that you least expect..."
Have you filmed the season two finale yet?
"We just filmed it - it was pretty major! We did an 11-day shoot on location and there was a lot going on. Someone's car caught on fire! A lot of crazy stuff happens. Navid ends up confessing something... He comes full circle, something happens to the teens, and he makes a major confession which propels the story into season three."
Do you know what's in store next season?
"Not yet, but there are hints of what's to come in the season two finale. Navid's confession will definitely impact what happens next year..."

On the show, Jessica Lowndes's alter ego Adrianna has grown increasingly close to Gia (Rumer Willis), resulting in a relationship between the pair.
Donovan, who plays Teddy Montgomery on the teen drama, told DS that he believes the plot was a "bold move" by the show's producers.
Asked how his character feels about the relationship, he replied: "To tell you the truth, I don't think it's really touched upon that much.
"Personally, I like it - it's pretty hot! That was an interesting and bold move by the producers - and I think it's gonna pay off very well. Teddy focused on his relationship with Silver."

According to People, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe will all have cameos in the upcoming third season premiere.
The trio, who are currently starring on reality show Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, are expected to play themselves on the programme.
Kim Kardashian has previously had roles in CSI: NY and Beyond The Break.

Entertainment Weekly reports that either Liam (Matt Lanter), Navid (Michael Steger) or Teddy (Trevor Donovan) will reveal their true sexuality in future episodes.
The show's executive producer Jennie Urman described the move as one of several "great storylines" in the new season.

90210 star Michael Steger has confirmed that the rape storyline involving Naomi will continue in the new season.
In the second finale, Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) appeared to be assaulted by her teacher Mr Cannon (Hal Ozsan).
Steger, who plays Navid, has now told E! Online that the plot will return in the upcoming premiere.
"It starts off strongly with Naomi's character dealing with how it left off the season finale," he said. "It's a pretty intense storyline, and [Mr Cannon] is still around."
90210 returns for its third season on September 13 on The CW.

When last we saw Liam and Annie, they shared a tender moment on Liam's hand-built boat before creepy Jasper blew it to smithereens.
Ah, but a little explosion can't stop love on 90210, Matt Lanter tells TVGuide.com.
Liam (Lanter) has confessed to the coins, Annie (Shenae Grimes) has confessed to the crash, and now there's nothing to stop things from heating up between them — and soon. (90210 returns Monday, Sept. 13 at 8/7c on the CW.)
"We'll get romantic in the first couple of episodes. We share a kiss," Lanter teased during a break from filming a rather hot scene — not involving Annie — from a future episode.
But things won't stay easy for long. "It gets complicated very fast. There will be a love triangle involving Liam, Annie and Liam's half-brother Charlie (guest star Evan Ross)," Lanter says.
"Charlie and Liam are estranged," the actor explains. "His half-brother hasn't been in his life so they don't have a good relationship. Throw a girl into the mix and it's that much worse."

Lanter is rooting for Liam and Annie to make it long term. They're a couple that the actor says he saw coming since Season 1.
"There's always been some chemistry between Annie and Liam," he says. "In the first season finale, he was really flirting with her. Picking on her, yes, but in a flirting way. She was this good girl, but also had this façade on -- Liam was determined to break that down. He was always curious about the real Annie. And I think that's where it started. Now the've bonded over really personal things, so there's an even deeper emotional connection."
Wait, no love lost for Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord)? Lanter says the two girls are different. "Liam's relationship with Naomi started out as a physical one and it stayed that way. From what we saw, they never really formed an emotional attachment. But with Liam and Annie, we've seen it grow. It grew out of friendship."
Having said that, Lanter says, it's hard to choose a favorite. "I got one foot in both camps, man," he says, laughing.

Joe Jonas has signed to guest star on The CW series 90210.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the singer will play himself on an upcoming episode of the show.
Jonas will be seen escorting Jessica Lowndes to a red carpet event during the instalment.
Trevor Donovan has insisted that his character's coming out storyline on 90210 was not designed for a quick ratings boost.
Speaking to TV Guide, the 31-year-old actor praised the plot for its authenticity and said that it reflects the third season of the teen drama.
He explained: "It wasn't meant to be this in-your-face moment for a quick ratings boost. It's true to real life, it's happening at a pace I think it would actually happen and it's going to unfold very realistically, very heartfelt.
"Everything is so internal. He's battling with himself. He's creating his own problems and there's going to be a lot of external struggles from other people mostly caused by his frustration, his anger, his denial and confusion."
Donovan added: "There's more layers [this season]. On a show that can tend to be superficial we really dug down into more substance and more crucial issues."

Trevor Donovan has claimed that his recent storyline on 90210 is realistic.
Speaking to E! Online, Donovan admitted that he was surprised when the writers first suggested that his character Teddy is gay and will struggle with his sexuality.
"We wanted to tell realistic stories, this kid battling and coming to terms with who he was, and how painful and difficult it is," he said. "I was flattered that they thought I could take it on because it is so challenging. And it puts a lot of substance into a show that tends to be a little more superficial."
Donovan added that there will not be any explicit sex scenes just yet, saying: "The point to the storyline is his struggle coming to fruition, coming to that realisation. Of course to actually portray it realistically there's got to be a little bit of intimacy, which has come up to a point, but you can only go so far - it's The CW."
Donovan also suggested that Teddy and Silver (Jessica Stroup) may share more kisses in the future.
"If I have anything to say about it!" he joked. "I don't think it's a black and white thing - I don't think he just jumps in and goes on the other side. There's got to be a little grey area where he goes back and forth."

The team behind 90210 has reportedly started casting a boyfriend for Teddy.
Teddy, played by Trevor Donovan, has been coming to terms with his sexuality in recent episodes with the help of Ian (Kyle Riabko).
However, Michael Ausiello reports that the writers are now looking for an actor to play a romantic role in the show.
The character, Marco, is described as a "hot, super-athletic, openly gay love interest" for Teddy.
90210 continues on Mondays at 8/7c on The CW.
Nelly has reportedly signed up to appear in 90210.
According to Movieline, the rapper will play himself in an episode of the show early next year.
The storyline is said to focus on Dixon (Tristan Wilds) and Navid (Michael Steger) getting involved in the video shoot for Nelly's song 'She's So Fly'.
Claudia Black has signed up to star in 90210.
The former Stargate SG-1 actress will appear in three episodes of the show, TV Guide reports.
She will play Guru Sona, a yoga teacher who meets the characters when they visit a retreat.

Abbie Cobb has reportedly signed up to appear in 90210.
Movieline says that the actress has landed a recurring role in the CW series.
Cobb will play Emily, the cousin of Annie (Shenae Grimes) and Dixon (Luke Wilson).
Emily is said to be a country girl who pretends to be more naive than she is. She reportedly wants to steal everything from Annie, including her boyfriend Liam (Matt Lanter).
Cobb has previously had roles in television shows including Jonas, The Mentalist, Medium and CSI: Miami.
She is expected to make her 90210 debut in January. The show continues on Mondays at 8/7c on The CW.
90210's Teddy (Trevor Donovan), who's just be starting to come to terms with his sexuality, has a new boyfriend in the wings.
Newcomer Freddie Smith (Medium) has been cast as Teddy's newest love interest, Marco, Movieline reports.
The casting call described Marco as super athletic, friendly and openly gay. We'll see how Teddy handles that last part since he asked openly gay fellow West Bev student Ian (Kyle Riabko) to keep their relationship secret in Monday's episode.
Smith will essentially replace Riabko, who's reportedly leaving the show to make himself available for pilot season. Smith is scheduled to make his first appearance in February.

90210‘s dwindling grown-up population is about to take another major hit: TVLine has learned exclusively that Lori Loughlin and Ryan Eggold will not be returning to the show next season.
A 90210 spokesperson confirms that Loughlin and Eggold’s contract options have not been picked up and their romantically-linked characters — matriarch Deb and teacher Ryan — will exit at season’s end. The rep adds that 90210‘s fourth season will find the West Bev crew transitioning to college, which means there will be less emphasis on teachers and parents.

90210 will reportedly examine Silver's bipolar disorder again in future episodes.
According to TV Line, Silver (Jessica Stroup) will begin to struggle with the condition again after Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) finds out about her affair with Navid (Michael Steger).
Stroup explained: "Adrianna is not likeable now, and she's only going to continue to do worse things to Silver.
"The bipolar disorder is something she's been medicating herself to fight against. Unfortunately, someone tampers with [the medicine] and stuff's about to blow up!"
Sources on the show added that Silver's struggle with bipolar disorder will last for a number of episodes and could affect her romance with Navid.
90210 airs on Mondays at 8/7c on The CW in the US and on Tuesdays at 9pm on E4 in the UK.

Former Privileged star Kristina Apgar has booked a recurring role on the CW’s soapy drama 90210 where she will play a love interest for Matt Lanter’s Liam.
Apgar will play Jane, a mysterious 21-year-old from Alaska who married young and is a widow. Her character is described as a quiet beauty torn by guilt -- between obligation and desire -- in the vein of Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca.
At the end of Season 3 Liam and Annie (Shenae Grimes) seemingly parted ways as the kids from West Beverly High graduated and Liam left for the summer to work on a fishing boat with Annie preparing for college in the fall.
Apgar played Lily Smith, the estranged sister of lead Joanna Garcia-Swisher’s Megan Smith, on the CW’s short-lived Privileged.
Two more actors have signed up for recurring roles in the new season of 90210.
Justin Deeley and Megalyn Echikunwoke will both appear in multiple episodes of the teen drama's fourth season, according to TV Line.
Deeley will play Austin, the son of a country music star and a new love interest for Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord).
He previously starred in 2009 film comedy Couples Retreat and also played a stripper in 90210's third season finale.
Former CSI: Miami star Echikunwoke will appear as Holly, a popular but conceited sorority girl who clashes with Naomi at college.
The actress recently appeared in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and will also feature in Don Cheadle's new Showtime series House of Lies.
It was recently announced that Privileged actress Kristina Apgar will star in 90210's fourth season as Jane, a young widow who has feelings for Liam (Matt Lanter).
90210 will return to The CW on September 13.
Drew Seeley is to star in the new season of 90210.
Seeley revealed the news in a post on his website, adding that he will appear in several instalments of the show.
"So, looks like I'll be joining the cast of 90210 for the first few episodes of season four!" he wrote. "Will post more info and pics soon.
"Tell everyone you know to watch, because there'll be some drama for you and your momma!"
Seeley recently starred in the comedy Glory Daze, which was dropped by TNT earlier this year.
He has also had appearances in shows including Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and The Closer.

The Supernatural actor has replaced Drew Seeley in the role of Jeremy, according to Zap2it.
Seeley's casting on 90210 was only recently announced, but the Glory Daze star was reportedly dropped from the show after calling in sick on his first day.
Cohen had originally auditioned for the role of Jeremy alongside Seeley, but was said to be the producers' second choice for the part.
The actor previously played the young John Winchester in two episodes of Supernatural and has also appeared on Medium and NCIS: Los Angeles.

Brandy has signed up to appear in 90210.
The musician has landed a "major" arc in the show's upcoming fourth season, TV Line reports.
Her character Marissa Jackson-Lewis, who is due to make her debut in October, is said to be a young politician hoping to get elected to congress. She is running against the conservative uncle of Teddy (Trevor Donovan).
In order to increase her chances, Marissa hires Silver (Jessica Stroup) to make a campaign video aimed at young people.
"She's a cross between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama," a source claimed. "She's inspirational but with a drive to get the job done."
Brandy recently had a guest role in Drop Dead Diva. She previously worked on television shows such as Moesha and Thea and appeared in the movie I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.
Other stars who will appear in 90210 include Sarah Hagan, Matt Cohen, Justin Deeley, Megalyn Echikunwoke and Kristina Apgar.
The fourth season of 90210, which has been extended by two episodes, will premiere on September 13 on The CW.
Kellie Pickler has signed on to appear in 90210.
The former American Idol contestant will portray Sally, Austin's (Justin Deeley) cousin, for one episode on The CW series, according to TV Line.
Pickler will perform her single 'Tough' on the episode in question.
The singer wed her boyfriend Kyle Jacobs earlier this year. She described it as "the most incredible day" of her life, in spite of changing her original plans at the last minute.

The actor will play Shane when he joins the CW drama's fourth season, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Shane, who is described as attractive and intelligent, is a gay man who is comfortable with his sexuality. He is also reportedly heavily involved in campaigning for gay marriage.
Rottman is probably best known for his role as Joey in Gigantic. He has also had guest roles in shows including Victorious, Valley Peaks and Greek.
Rottman is the latest star to sign up for a role in 90210 after American Idol's Kellie Pickler and singer Brandy both joined the series.

Two new characters for 90210's fifth season have been revealed.
The CW series, which stars the likes of Shenae Grimes, AnnaLynne McCord and Jessica Lowndes, will feature a newcomer called Tyler, "a club promoter who has a knack for spotting new talent in the music field".
According to E!, 90210 will also introduce a "charming tech hottie" named Alec who has been likened to Justin Timberlake's portrayal of Sean Parker in The Social Network.
It has been revealed that Gillian Zinser (Ivy) will not be back for the show's fifth season.
Grimes recently confessed that she was "baffled" by some of her character Annie's storylines in season four, particularly one that saw her work as an escort.
"I had zero connection to her storyline whatsoever," she explained. "To me, it seemed really off-base that my character would even be behaving that way.
"I couldn't really wrap my head around the thought process behind what was going on."
90210 will return to The CW this fall, airing in a new Monday night slot at 8/7c.

Olly Murs is to appear on 90210, it has been revealed.
The UK popstar will perform two songs on the CW show in an episode slated to air in April, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The 28-year-old will help Liam (Matt Lanter) and Navid (Michael Steger) in their efforts to impress a pro-surfer, and will sing his tracks 'Troublemaker' and 'Right Place Right Time'.
any idea when this is back on e4 even though the last few seasons have been bad i'll still watch
It went downhill after season 2, I stopped watching half way through series 3.
