Hair colour no guide to great and good's blonde moments

THEY are known as blonde moments ... but, if the truth be known, men and women of every hair colour are capable of making utterly dizzy statements.
Now Fleur Barrington has gathered together the best gaffes and blunders in a new book which is unsurprisingly called, Blonde Moments. Here are just a few of the best:

"I'm getting more famouser by the day."- Avril Lavigne.

A blonde was on tour of a national park. The warden mentioned to the tour group that dinosaur fossils had been found in the area. "Wow," the blonde exclaimed. "I can't believe dinosaurs would come this close to the motorway."

"I'm getting a trainer. But not to lose anything because I like being a little thicker."- Christina Aguilera.

A blonde calls an airline ticket counter and asks how long flights are from London to Los Angeles. The man at the desk replies: "Just a minute." She thanks him and hangs up.

"Being a Scientologist, when you drive past an accident you know you have to do something about it because you know you're the only one who can really help." - Tom Cruise.

"Nobody deserves to be treated like a princess 100 per cent of the time . . . not even me." - Jessica Simpson.

Brigitte Bardot revealed her true stance on female solidarity after a fire in her kitchen. A female friend tried to put out the flames. Bardot, mean while, ran out of the room and slammed the door, trapping her friend inside. Bardot's husband saved the day but was stunned by her reasoning. "If I open the door," she explained, "all my furniture will go up in flames."

"I love being in America." - Charlotte Church while in Toronto, Canada.

"The cool thing about being famous is travelling. I have always wanted to travel across seas - like to Canada and stuff.' - Britney Spears.

"I'm not anorexic. I'm from Texas. Are there people from Texas who are anorexic? I've never heard of one. And that includes me." - Jessica Simpson.

"I've never really wanted to go to Japan. Simply because I don't like eating fish. And I know that's very popular out there in Africa." - Britney Spears.

The X Factor presenter Holly Willoughby had a momentary lapse in a recent interview. Asked whether she thought Simon Cowell was a pop Svengali, she responded in confusion: "Is he from Svengali? I didn't know that. Is Svengali in Africa?"

"Even I don't wake up looking like Cindy Crawford." - Cindy Crawford.

"I don't diet. I just don't eat as much as I would like to." - Linda Evangelista.

"I live my life day by day, and that's how I continue to live it."- Naomi Campbell.

"I may not have the type of voice you like, but I can sing. You can't take that away from me cos singing is a gift from God, and when people say I can't sing, it's kind of like insulting God." - Fergie, of the Black Eyed Peas.

"Sometime you have to sacrifice your performance for high heels."- Gwen Stefani.

"There's Elvis and me. I couldn't say which of the two is best." - Liam Gallagher.

"I'm not offended by dumb blonde jokes because I know I am not dumb. I know I am not blonde too." - Dolly Parton.

"I think that Clueless was very deep. I think it was deep in the way that it was very light. I think lightness has to come from a very deep place if it's true lightness." - Alicia Silverstone.

"If I've learned nothing else, it's that if you keep on shouting at the top of your voice, in the end you just annoy people." - Jamie Oliver.

"My job is a decision making job, and as a result, I make a lot of decisions." - President George Bush.

"It's great being blonde. With such low expectations, it is easy to impress." - Pamela Anderson

"Smoking kills. If you are killed, you've lost a very important part of your life." - Brooke Shields

"I was in geography class and the teacher said to raise your hand if you know the continents. I raised my hand and said: 'A, E, I, O, U.' And the teacher replied: "Those aren't even consonants. They're vowels." - Jessica Simpson
