Ok so my contract is coming to an end soon, and i can change my phone now so i have been looking into two options one of them is the Apple iPhone and the other is the LGU990 but i am open to other ideas, but they are the main two i have been looking into.
Can anyone tell me about either the iPhone or the LGU990? Worth buying? especially the iPhone (the price is mad) what are the cameras like? Anything anyone knows about them would help. Or if there are other phones anyone can recommend for me i would be greatful
You can try Nokia E70. I love nokia phones and if you are going to pay that price for a phone, try this one

I dont know anything about the iphone, but i had the LGU990 and hated it, only kept it for a few weeks, and sold it and went back to my lg shine, but the camera was good on it, just didnt like the actual phone it was to fat/wide for me, and it wasnt like "wow" I just found it a pain lol, but others I know who have had the phone really like it

Just looked at the phone, it looks quite good, i used to have a phone that looked axactly the same and I loved typing on the keyborad of it, and that phone looks like its got some good stuff on it, dont think id pay that price for it though, comparing it to the i phone and the LGU990

It would have been a bit better yh, but I still would have got rid of it, I just didnt really like it thought it was rubbish compared to my shine lol, but I dont really do much with my phone anyway, I have a good camera on my shine, the other one was better as like i said it was a good camera, but Id rather use my digital camera if im takibg pics, I only really mainly use my phone to text and as an alarm and I didnt like texting on the lgu990

Go for the iphone. Its magic. The number of applications you can download for it is absolutely amazing. Built in ipod and free internet access. What more could you want

i know people who have had the iphone and hated it. i personally dont see what all the fuss is about with it, its so expensive! what sort of things do you want your phone to have apart from a good camera? i have a samsung phone (cant remember exactly which one, ill find out for you) and the camera is good on it, it was quite cheap as well, apparently its got the best camera on it for the price range. its also got a music player, radio and some other stuff i dont remember cos i dont really use a lot of the applications on it
Motorolas generally have really bad cameras, my dad's had three of them now and my friend's wasn't much better. Mine isn't that good, I think the camera was better on my Samsung E600 than the E900 I have now.

I second that.
I've had a few motorolas and my mum had the Pebl and tbh the pictures were really bad quality. The camera I have now on my SE w580i isn't that good either. The new Samsung that's out, can't remember what it's called, it's like the iPhone and LG Viewty with it being touch screen and such has a really good camera. A few people at school have it and they take awesome pictures from what i've seen.

I got the Sony Ericsson C905 yesterday and it's AWESOME!
I think it's only available on contract at the moment but if you can get hold of one, you'll love it.

I have an i phone and think its fantastic. I use it for work to set all my reminders on of people to call and when. I can pick up and receive my email when Im out and about. I can use google maps to locate awkward addresses. I have the ipod filled with my music and videos.
I've recently got the Samsung Omnia. It took a bit of getting used to as it's all touch screen, I love it. Its £400 to buy, I got it on contract with Vodafone. Has internet (opera browser, not wap), GPS, 5mp camera, the screen automatically rotates when you turn the phone (turned this off as it irritated me), watch tv and has full MS office software on it. You can also have the option of standard keypad, samsung keypad and qwerty keyboard input.
Anyone got any advice/reviews on;
LGviewty
Samsung Soul
Samsung Tocco
My contract is coming to an end, and i want a new pretty phone :p

I had the lg viewty and hated it, its to bulky compared to other phones that do the same thing
samsung tocco is really nice, my mate has it and i love playing around on it, the cameras really good on it aswell
but if you want a phone like that lg dare is either out soon, or already out, and that looks like a great phone, but has similar stuff to the phones you have mentioned meant to be a bit like the iphone i think, i like the look of the lg dare

Can anyone give me feedback on the Nokia 7500? It's for my 13 year old so I don't want anything too expensive or complicated and this one seems to have all the bits he wants on it.

Marley now wants the LG Chocolate. Tesco have it for 45 quid or the carphone warehouse do it on a contract for 25 quid a month both on the orange network. Any ideas who else does this phone.
Just ordered the Sony Ericson C905 Ice Silver, anyone heard anything about this? GQ said it's good, but you can never rely on a magazine!!!!

It may have just been me, but if you read reviews on the net, I would really think about an alternative, I had 4 over the course of 3 months because they kept breaking - switching itself off, freezing, screen blanking out, etc. and it wasn't that i used it a lot either cos i couldn't text fast as the buttons are really slow when texting, when I took it back to carphone warehouse, everytime they said oh it's common taht people are bringing these ones back (n)

my sister has this phone and she has had it for quite a while, i think its 2 years march time, and she has never had a problem with her one, the battery is still really good on it and can last for ages, even though it is left on 24/7 and she plays games on it a lot, and hasnt ever had any problems with the buttons being slow when texting, but if you want that price range, id sa have a look at the lg shine instead of the chocolate as you can get it at that price in some places, and I would say its a lot better than the chocolate (i have it) it just depends if you wanted it to be touch though as the shine isnt, and the shine doesnt have as much variety for colours
